301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARPA will reach its ATH price? on: May 27, 2023, 05:42:18 PM
Arpa pump was live just for some days and it's keep dumping  from two days. I think this was just whale fake push and there was no real news behind it. we should be careful when investing in these coins especially when coins already pumped  30%-100% because i seen many coins start back turn after showing green line for sometime. now the best price to buy this coins is below 0.07$ which we will find in this week probably.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: May 27, 2023, 03:24:01 PM
In most custodian wallets like trust wallet staking is available for most crypto currencies including trx.is it better to stake such a coin or hodl it

Staking is best for those who want to hold tokens for long term because it will generate some yield token to maximize tokens. staking is much better option than just holding but we should know the locking period and apy before locking. some validators lock tokens for month or more and you cannot sell your token before unlocking and you have to wait this unlocking period. I remembered when luna crash was happen, many users was not able to sell because there tokens was locked for 22 days.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: May 27, 2023, 03:19:27 PM
Now crypto become advance and everyone looks for short term profit and long term project are very rarely demanded. I think investing in coins which take years to blow up are not worth because we don't know the future of crypto what will happen in Market and will the hype of such project will remain or not. It is better to invest in short term project for fast earning.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: May 26, 2023, 05:47:57 PM
if you say Doge is worth investing in it is definitely worth it, but we also need to know that Doge's price is also very expensive according to supply,
because there is a lot of Doge supply you can also see ROI from Doge on coinmarketcap,
only if you want to invest then you have to buy Doge at a price that is already cheap, you can read in Doge Chart and you must analyze before buy.

Elon has warned doge user for risk and Elon was only big shiller of this coin which make it able to break many zero in one years. after Elon continues tweet a about doge, big whales entered in this coin and they can leave anytime this coin if any bad news comes. we should not take big risk in coin which already pumped many times. I think that investing in doge is now not worth. Pepe coins is much better than doge at current time.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AVAX] Avalanche Speculation - price movement tracking & discussion on: May 26, 2023, 05:39:07 PM
AVAX is 5% of my portfolio, i like the projects but the delegation is something that bothers me, i think liquid staking is the way to go and what AVAX needs.
Their tech is actually top notch so i have hopes for this project.

Avax token is low at this moment and worth to invest but we should have this in mind that Avax is going to unlock  9.3 million token which is worth now more than 130 million $ on 27 may. This unlock can affect it's price and should be careful before buying Avax now. maybe from next month avax start rise up but we market is not looking positive at current moment. for long term i believe it will touch 50$.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Promising Crypto Coins Expected to Make It to the Top 100 on CoinMarketCap on: May 26, 2023, 01:48:00 PM
as far as a think Zksync token will be high demand able due to it's high usecase. now number if transaction is very much high and dex volume increasing daily. If they launch token in this year with some interesting Usecase and high apy reward than i believe that we will see this token under top 50.

Starknet token are also probably will be launch this year because tokenomics already released and the best thing is that this token will also be used for gas fee which will definitely increase #strk demand. Layerzero is also going to launch it's token and we have seen so much token staked and bridge function. these tokens can  easily secure spot under 50 while their dex token will secure under top 200 spot.

It changes day to day based on current rate of trading and difficulty to mine.
Currently it's Bitcoin, yes.

Sometimes it's PPCoin, sometimes it's one of the newer altcoins with low difficulty/fast retarget. I personally use cgminer/bfgminer with --load-balance with a Bitcoin pool and a PPCoin pool, splits the hashrate between them.

Everything seems to be working very well, deposit was quick. Seems the "bonus" is applied manually, so that's the only slowness/issue I've had. Cool setup, though.

317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PPCoin P2Ppool: Are there any? on: September 29, 2013, 02:09:48 AM
Any info? Is it possible? Thx.
No (not yet).
There's a very outdated list of mining pools here: https://github.com/ppcoin/ppcoin/wiki/List-of-services-on-market
Also, old post by SunnyKing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187682.msg2500552#msg2500552

319  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: help needed in solo miner guiminer setup on: September 29, 2013, 12:10:00 AM
Hi. I'm new to solo mining. Kindly guide me how to make a config file for guiminer and other settings like how do i make a username and password in solo mining because we don't use a pool. Kindly make a complete config for to run. Thnks
Found this article on how to set it up: http://maunderingcabal.blogspot.com/2013/02/bitcoin-mining-log-9-how-to-solo-mine.html
I'll just highlight the relevant parts (and linux if needed):

Quote
Now you need to find where the .conf file will go. This stores your local miner info so you can get credit for mining off of your local host address.

You need to create this file by first finding the folder it goes in. It should be hidden in the appdata folder (or home folder on linux). For example at:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin
or on linux: ~/.Bitcoin/

Obviously replace YOURUSERNAME with whatever your computer user name is, the name you use when you log on to windows.

Then once you have found the folder for the particular coin you want to mine create a text file and name it bitcoin.conf or terracoin.conf or whatever coin your mining.

What to write in the text file is:

Code:
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=YOURMINERNAME
rpcpassword=YOURPASSWORD
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18332

Bitcoin's port is 8332, some coins have a port they usually use. Though any random unused port can be used. So any random set of numbers that are free on local host.

Save the text file as whatever.conf

4. Start your miner

You will need to open your wallet first in server mode. To do this go to the folder where you start your wallet. Where the binary file is.
Windows: Then make a text file in that folder. Name it Server.bat. Change the text file to a .bat file. Then edit it in a text editor to say "bitcoin.exe -server" (replace with the name of whatever wallet exe you are trying to start). Save. Then run the .bat file and it should start the wallet.
Linux: run ./bitcoin-qt --daemon

Once the wallet is synced open your miner too. Type in your local host info and port. (Some miners do this on two lines, if port isn't asked for assume you need to do both on one line). Like this example for host:

127.0.0.1:18332

Hit enter, then type the user name you put in the .conf file

YOURUSERNAME

Hit enter, then type your password from the .conf file

YOURPASSWORD

Hit enter and you should start mining.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis of mcxFEE (mcxNOW) valuations on: September 28, 2013, 11:56:43 PM
So we should sell the shares?
What will happen when new shares will be introduced?
Let me get my magic 8-ball. Be right back.

Okay, back. I shook it and it said "Ask again later".

In regards to the article, fiat will never be on mcxnow.com. Yes, the shares are currently overpriced, not accounting for future growth and resale value.
Fiat would be handy, but ultimately it puts the burden of AML and many other restrictions on you. I wouldn't mind seeing an alt SHA256 coin on mcxNOW eg. ZET to get some transactions to boost mcxFEE revenues from the growing number of ASIC miners.
I'd agree that the world needs more (better) SHA-256 coins, there is currently PPCoin on there for now though... I have lots of Zetacoins, but I don't expect it to go anywhere honestly. Hopefully we'll see some awesome SHA-256 coins in the future.

And yes, that's why fiat wouldn't be on there, regulations. Just reciting what I've heard from the owner in that regard, the less intervention the better.
