You're using SHA256 algorithm to mine a Scrypt coin, which can't/won't happen. Try adding "--scrypt" in the extra flags field.
Also, go to "View" > "Show Summary" and also "View" > "Show Console", it will show you if there's errors or what's happening.
It WILL put out errors for the default miner, it might not if you switch to the cgminer option (File > New Miner).
Better to get Scrypt-GUIMiner

Just got back from returning a 6970 that idled at 80 degrees and jumped to 100 less than 2 seconds after cgminer starts up.
My 7850's stay below 70, though.

What client did you use to make the transaction?
The android version of the blockchain.info app I use the android version of the Litecoin wallet and had a tranaction that took 9 days. It did go through eventually, just took much longer than I would have hoped. Judging from the interface, there's a lot of borrowed code between the BitCoin Wallet, LiteCoin Wallet, and Blockchain app. |

is this a good card? no. That's your onboard graphics.... not a GPU. I know this, but I can't afford a GPU right now so I have to do CPU mining, electricity bills arent an issue. is that amount of khash/h decent? No. even for cpu mining? also guiminer gives me the option to use the intel core i5 3210, which one should I use? how can I maximize my performance? Get a GPU. am I even really mining? I havent recieved anything. Yes, it's mining. But that's not your username/password. It's probably username: minero_worker password: changeme, if you haven't changed it. so I have to do, veek_minero in the user space? Are any alts worth the bother?
Sure, but that's a matter of opinion. LiteCoin is on a decline, but has a decent foundation and should bounce back (a least a little). Aside from that, all opinion. DevCoin and NameCoin shouldn't be going anywhere, because they can be merge mined along with BitCoin, so they'll always be actively mined. WorldCoin seems to have held value fairly well compared to the new batch of alt coins, the rest are sort of all over the map. |

7870? I have a pair of 7850's that get random errors at 13 intensity, but none on 12 or 17. Staying on 12 and bumping clocks to 1050 should stay stable.

It's possibly an issue of alt-coin-palooza 2013. Trading X coin in batches of 1000 for LTC in batches of 10 increases value of X coin and devalues LTC. It'll probably bounce back fine, it's established, a standard in trades, can actually be used for purchasing things, etc. It'll probably continue to fall for a while though as the altcoins run free; until the market shifts and they become unprofitable to mine a currency with a lifespan of a week.

I could understand wanting to revive a coin, but I would not support reviving this coin, because it appears to be just a dishonest attempt at a pump and dump.
But it has such great innovative features like a Readme in Chinese. Groundbreaking. |
