721  Other / Off-topic / Re: Satoshi online? on: May 12, 2013, 09:23:44 PM
Is Satoshi the creator of this forum? I understand that he is the creator of bitcoins but I was wondering if he was the creator of this forum because that would be interesting to me. Also, does anyone know if he was active when this forum was first created.

This belongs in the marketplace section.
723  Economy / Economics / Does Bitcoin have what it takes to become a trillion dollar industry? on: May 12, 2013, 08:20:26 PM
Right now bitcoins is a billion dollar industry based on the price per bitcoin and the current number of bitcoins which are out there. However in order for bitcoins to become a trillion dollar industry once the maximum of 21,000,000 bitcoins have been released, the price of bitcoins will need to rise to $50,000 a piece. Do you guys believe that it can happen and that bitcoins can become a multi-trillion dollar industry.

And if you don't believe it can happen do you believe the value of all cryto-currencies combined can make it happen because litecoins are already a multi-million dollar industry and so are a few others I believe.
724  Economy / Speculation / What price do you see Bitcoins reaching? on: May 12, 2013, 08:14:17 PM
In the future, say if bitcoins stick around and become something which many people use in there everyday lives what price do you guys see as being the stable price for bitcoins. Obviously if bitcoins replaces say the US dollar no one will want it fluctuating between $130 and $260 as it has done in the pass. What price do you guys see as being the stable price for bitcoins if it becomes a major currency.
725  Economy / Speculation / Will another currency overtake bitcoins? on: May 12, 2013, 08:08:13 PM
Bitcoins has had its run and I feel like with all the other crypto-currencies out there and the new ones being created every day, one of them is bound to take over bitcoins and become the next supreme leader. Do you guys believe that this is true, or do you think that it will never happen and why?
726  Economy / Speculation / Do you think bitcoins will overtake printed money? on: May 12, 2013, 08:07:19 PM
In my opinion there are many advantages to bitcoins over printed money and I feel like that sentiment is shared by many other people here on this forum. As a result, I was wondering, do you guys ever think that bitcoins will overtake printed money, or do you think that bitcoins will die out as not enough people adapt to them.
727  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New owner turns reputable company into a scam. Scammer tag needed! on: May 12, 2013, 07:39:51 PM
I understand that you may be feeling scammed, however you need to give people time and it seems like in this thread you got carried away. If you are interested in giving someone a scammer tag, the easiest way to do this is pm the admin, the admins don't read every single thread, and this isn't very helpful to anyone. Just wanted to point this out and wish you luck!

The five post rule is not designed in order for you to spam in order to get access to other sections of the forum. This will most likely get you in trouble more than anything else, and is absolutely useless, plus your spamming someone else's thread.
729  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Silent Miner on: May 12, 2013, 07:34:27 PM
Hello, i sell bin of silent miner.
PM me

No one knows what this is. On top of it being in the wrong section (it should be in the marketplace section), you haven't explained what your selling. GuiMiner will run in the background if you minimize it, and it is free to use. Try listing the advantages of your silent miner, making a proper sell thread and then maybe you'll sell some. Right now your post has scam written all over it.
730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i cant post any new topic , help ! on: May 12, 2013, 07:32:33 PM
You didn't read the rules when you registered  Shocked You must have 1 post to send a PM. To post a topic anywhere but this section you must have been logged in for 4 hours and posted at least 5 posts. Best of luck in the future!

ok i see , thank you Smiley

You welcome:). If you ever need any help in the future, feel free to send me a pm!
731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Coin on: May 12, 2013, 07:31:48 PM
Interesting. I personally believe that there are too many crypto-currencies out there, and most are bound to fail due to the large amount, however I wish you the best of luck. If you can make your coin the best, you will succeed:)
732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone near eastman ga? I pay 1 btc for 10 min on line on: May 12, 2013, 07:30:55 PM
Your post doesn't really make sense first of all, and second of all it would belong in the marketplace section since you aren't supposed to post offers like this in the newbies section. Plus your location isn't very well written. No offense, but this post has scam written all over it to me.
733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty over time data? on: May 12, 2013, 07:25:27 PM
I actually find it very interesting the way in which the difficulty is increasing. I believe in the future the difficulty will drop because it will get so hard its not worth it for people to mine, so a bunch will leave, and as a result, that will cause the difficulty to experience a significant drop.
734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty over time data? on: May 12, 2013, 07:24:41 PM
Where can I download the blockchain?

http://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

You can download your wallet, and then when you have your wallet downloaded, it will start automatically downloading and syncing with the block chain, this is what I use.
735  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spoid Reputation and Trust Thread on: May 12, 2013, 07:23:29 PM
This thread exists so that members can see that I don't scam people by viewing reports by other forum members.

It was just created so bear with me Cheesy

Your first sentence seems a bit awkwardly wording and hard to understand to me. I don't know if you would want to change that or not, I just wanted to point it out. And free bump:)
736  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone else more suspicious of someone after they make a "reputation thread"? on: May 12, 2013, 07:22:40 PM
I'm in between. On one hand I agree with you guys that it is a bit suspicious to have a reputation thread or to have the need to have a reputation thread, but on the other hand I can see the advantages it has because you can keep all your feedback in one thread, and if anyone ever asks for feedback about you, you can point them to one thread rather than to multiple threads.
737  Other / Off-topic / Re: What country are you from? on: May 12, 2013, 07:21:46 PM
Born and raised in the United States so I see that as the country which I am from but my mom is from Iran and I lived there for 6 months and my dad's family came here from Germany around 120 years ago.
738  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Coding Thread on: May 12, 2013, 07:20:32 PM
I am interested in learning C++ mainly because that seems to be the most widely used language out there. I am already familiar with HTML because I've learned it some in school and have used it in creating my websites, and next year, I will be learning some Java as part of a course and will probably continue to mastery the following year. However, C++ I will need to learn by myself, so do you guys have any recommendations for me learning it by myself. My parents may help me as they both know C++ and multiple other coding languages.
739  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do? on: May 12, 2013, 07:17:40 PM
Student. However, I plan on becoming an orthodontist so that will most likely be my chosen major. I am very interested in computers, technology and the such however, I am interested in going into orthodontistry because even though it isn't as interesting as computers, it pays more. I eventually want to own and manage my own company (want to become the worlds first trillionare, however my parents said they recommend I get a degree before trying to make a business so I have something to fall back on).
740  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin experts on: May 12, 2013, 03:32:10 PM
There is no given definition that everyone uses I think. I guess being termed a 'bitcoin expert' is mainly determined by three factors. (this is my opinion.)

1) How Long You've Been With The Project: It's very hard to become an expert after working with the project for only 1 week.
2) Knowledge: This one is obvious. It's based on how much you know about bitcoins.
3) Creations: A good way to become a bitcoin expert is by creating something useful for everyone such as cgminer or something like that.
