Looks like an interesting concept, however, it doesn't look like something that I'm interested enough to hop on board right away. However, I will be paying attention to it to see how it ends up working out.
582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in BTC and what else? on: May 18, 2013, 05:54:37 AM
Elwar,

I would never recommend investing your life savings in something as volatile as Bitcoins. You may fall asleep and wake up penniless unfortunately. Maybe in the future when we don't have bubble after bubble Wink

I agree with Jozzaboy. You can invest some money but only what you can afford to lose. If you wouldn't gamble with that money, don't invest with it. Be careful, and if you want to put your life savings in it, wait until the price has become much more stable!
583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in BTC and what else? on: May 18, 2013, 05:53:43 AM
I think you should invest in BTC & LTC & GLDCoins, splitting it up well. However, the market could have an interesting reaction once enough Asics come online making GPU mining useless.

Very useful, thank you for providing it. I will spend some more effort trying it out and post my results!
585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Chances of MTGox seizing funds from US wallets? on: May 18, 2013, 05:46:42 AM
Mt. Gox is fine and I would say there is no real risk of the funds being stolen from people's wallets... to many people would suffer and be angry about it if that were to happen.
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 5 posts now and 16hrs login time, why I am still a newbie on: May 18, 2013, 05:45:36 AM
Replies do count. However, I don't believe it takes 6, I think it takes 5, however the system update is not an instantaneous thing.
587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to exchange Bitcoin BTC into Cash? Answer for newbies. on: May 17, 2013, 06:06:15 PM
I use vircurex. However, it would be easier to use if you provided a more step by step guide.
588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: selective miner? on: May 17, 2013, 06:05:45 PM
It seems like he is only trying to mine transactions where the transaction fee is above the fee to withdraw the coins so that he can get some coins from mining based on the transaction fee.
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if Mt. Gox suddenly goes away? on: May 17, 2013, 05:53:05 PM
I think at first the price would tank but it would recover quickly as people switch to rival exchanges.

Hello,
I don't know about you guys but I have recently found out about Gold Coins and am interested in seeing them take of. Right now people seem to be trying to sell them at $0.003/each however, instead I recommend focusing on them as I believe these coins have a good name and can really take of.

If you are interested in supporting Gold Coins, please post in this thread the amount you are willing to contribute towards various things that will be created for the coin. Post your name, the item, and the amount you are willing to donate.

I know this is a small start, but I wanted to get things started.

This was heavily premined!

True, but a lot of people who premined it are spreading the wealth.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDcoin slowly gaining on: May 17, 2013, 02:13:07 AM
I think this coin could manage to take of, mainly because as was already posted in this thread, the wealth was spread around a lot which helped make the launch more successful because people are more interested in a coin they actually have.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin vs WDC [Poll] lets vote on: May 17, 2013, 02:08:40 AM

599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] 120,000 GLDcoin for LTC on: May 17, 2013, 02:02:35 AM
You know, last year(2012) a week from now, I sold 1500LTC for a fraction of what I could get now. Just saying.

That stinks. Are you remembering what you could have gotten Grin ... owell things like that happen:)
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] 120,000 GLDcoin for LTC on: May 17, 2013, 02:01:43 AM
There are a few people quite dedicated to getting this currency going.

I would hold out hope for it. I know I'll be hanging on to a healthy sum.

As will I... I think this currency can really get going.
