I'm using the EXPLOMOS adapter available on Amazon and it's in the m.2 slot closest to the CPU. The adapter has a 4 pin adapter and looks just like the green ones available. However, I'm not sending any power to the m.2 adapter.
I'm also not running the BIOS from that page. It's the F22i version. There's a newer one available now, but I haven't updated. Not sure it matters, but both of my gaming 7 motherboards are Rev 1.0 and not 1.1.
One last thing - not sure it matters. I have one card directly connected to the motherboard in the x16 slot closest to the CPU. I'm cheap and didn't want to get another riser.
I'm running Win10. Tried Linux once and got frustrated when I couldn't get more than 20Mh/card.
Thanks, I think that my adapter is bad or incompatible. My adapter is the kind without the power connector, it's identical to the 'Leboo M.2 NGFF to USB3.0 PCI-E X16 Slot adapter' on Amazon. I'm also using the slot closest to the CPU, and also running the mining BIOS but I think I'm going to try the latest non-mining BIOS as it's newer, plus the mining BIOS seems a little unfinished, for example there is no way to disable thunderbolt. I'm running a rev 1.0 board also, I can try running a card directly in the end x16 slot, but I've ordered a EXPLOMOS type adaptor and I'm going to try that first. EDIT: EXPLOMOS type adaptor arrived today and it works great, I can now detect and mine with 7 GPU's, thanks dude! I guess some m.2 adaptors just straight up don't work with certain mobo and riser combos

has anyone managed to have more than 6 gpu's running on this board?
i've tried to get 8 going but m.2 to PCI-e adaptors don't seem to be working, card is not recognised.
very odd, i'm going to try loading BIOS settings from defaults and see if it fixes it
Yes. I have 7 working on my rig. Six PCI-E plus one m.2 adapter. That's the max per the gigabyte mining website. Oops I meant 7 cards, maybe I have a bad m.2 adaptor, my card is connected to the M.2 adaptor but it is not detected under Linux. Riser and card is good as they work when connected straight to the PCIe slot. Can I ask what adaptor you are using? Is it the green kind with a power plug? or the black/blue kind which connect straight to the riser cable? Also are you using the mining BIOS from this page: https://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/462/mining.htmlFinally which m.2 slot are you using? The one closest to the CPU (M2D_32G)? Thanks

Pump and Dump in progress... The Zencash holders will feel betrayed. I used to love ZCL when it was launched but people behind it are just here for a quick buck
Wallet does not work at all for me, tried everything. i'm trying to get it to work, but my .jar file isn't opening. compared to how easy the ZEC wallet is this really is a pain! still i've got around 1 month to fix it before the fork

The only truly anonymous coin is XSPEC, all the other coins are flawed in some way. Even Monero is traceable according to some reports
Can you explain how a ZEC transaction is tracable please? When using a Z address?

I can confirm the Lyra2rev2 issue is entirely ccminer related and nothing to do with the pool. If you try https://github.com/Nanashi-Meiyo-Meijin/ccminer/releases/tag/v2.2-mod-r2 which is a fork with improved lyra2RE2, hashrates are greatly improved and what's displayed on site is pretty much the same as locally. You might need to be sure your nvidia software is totally up to date (388.59) Hi, I'm using this same fork of the miner and it's working well for me on this pool. I'm getting around 35Mh/z per 1070, and I've got the intensity set to 'auto' Could I get a higher hashrate by setting the intensity manually? Or is auto considered best? thanks

The stats are correct but the return is almost always lower on zpool than on the other pools that doesn't autoexchange.
ex:
skein
zpool.ca 24hour payout per ghash: 0.00449BTC yiimp.ccminer.org payout per ghash: 0.0062BTC
+38% if you mine on yiimp and exchange your coins yourself.
But zpool is more profitable than the nicehashminer..
Fact i actually test (not speculate)i've test with multiple rigs had 1070x4 on nicehashminer / another 1070x4 and zpool nemosmier /and another 4x1070 on nemosminer Mining Pool Hub the zpool version is making more every week so i don't believe there is any theft going on my payouts seem to always be correct.. ex: blake2s zpool.ca 24hour payout per ghash: 1.17497BTC yiimp.ccminer.org payout per ghash: 0.41053BTC +186.2 if you mine on zpool zpool blake2s and lyra2v2 are 2x the profitability compared to yiimp.ccminer.org.... You have to remember the luck factor, you need to run test cocurrently for them to be comparable. That said I've not tried Zpool, I'm going to try a week on miningpoolhub and see how it pays before switching
|
|
|
Hi, I'm using miningpoolhub which allows auto-algo switching also. I'm not really sure how it compares to zpool tho, I've only tried miningpoolhub, just another one for you to check out

Hi is there any chance of adding VIVO coin? Right now on whattomine with my nvidia setup it says it will pay $41.29 a day, compared to BTG at $23.47 this seems like a good boost in profits. Or could there be something odd going on with VIVO right now? so i have read people wanna to leave MPH and some people showing some tests. Is this pool ligit or are people running for the hills?
It's working great for me, even after the exchanges in currency I'm making a little more than I was mining ZEC only

I've one question.I'm mining Monacoin and Vertcoin. My estimated rewards per 24h for 1 gpu are: 0.320528 Monacoin 0.591047 Vertcoin I'm mining them using excavator + MultiPoolMiner and in last 24h I received: 0.10844352 Monacoin 0.22288436 Vertcoin My earnings are almost 2x lower than expected. On previous days I got different proportions (MultiPoolMiner was chaning what to mine) but still the score was similar. Almost 2x lower. I know about difficulty. I checked it multiple times. For Monacoin it's almsot constant and equals 65-75k in the last days. Let's expect 80k. On Whattomine it's still a higher earnings than current. What's going wrong? What GPU and what if your hashrate?

Hi, how are you viewing your hashrate on the pool? I've just starting mining lyra2v2 and wanted to check it's working ok. Sorry if this is such as n00b question, I've checked the MPH FAQ, my balance page is blank, and am out of ideas For hash rate, look at the left menu, click on the coin you are mining then click on dashboard. Total balances update is kinda slow. Account information on each coin's dashboard is much faster. Thanks, I guess it's similar so suprnoca where each coin has it's own dash and stats. It's kind of odd, I've been mining over around 3 hours now and my hashrate is 0 on both Monacoin and Vertcoin dashboards. I've checking my miner and it's been mining the lyra2v2 alsorithm non-stop. ccminer output: [2017-12-11 18:37:57] accepted: 193/193 (diff 3.740), 202.11 MH/s yes!
However my balances for both coins have increased and are not 0. I think it may be because I'm doing Multi-algo switch mining (Port 12XXX), maybe the hashrate for this is somewhere else? Maybe I need to use the API key somehow? Which miner is more efficient for Nvidia cards, Multipool miner, Awesome miner of Nemosminer? MPH's FAQ has all 3 but it does not indicate which may be better than the other or better suited for each architecture
It depends on algorithm you are mining, I use DSTM miner for equihash and ccminer for the others.

What I'm going to do now is to mine Monacoin here on MPH for three days, then on suprnova for 3 days and then I'll compare average hashrates and profits.
Bad approach. If you want to compare 2 pools, you have to mine in parallel. Otherwise, the results are not comparable as the net difficulty in 4-6 days can be completely different from days 1-3! You are right, I have not considered difficulty change. I'll do next: I'll run two instances of ccminer with 2 GTX 1070 each: 1. MPH, 2. Suprnova 24 h should be enough to make conclusions. Please keep us updated on your test Thanks Sure, I'm already running the test. I'll update you tomorrow. It would be nice if someone else could also run a similar test just to get statistics. As admins mentioned earlier ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=472510.4840), this is a known issue, but some users do not experience it. I'm using tpruvot ccminer 2.2 and 372.54 nvidia driver. I wonder if it can be miner/driver versions dependent. I have tested suprnova it worked out immediately - online pool hashrate catched up the miner speed for 1min after launched!!! Then even surpassed a little and after that it went equal with the miner speed I use ccminer-x64-2.2.3-cuda9 and NVIDIA driver version 23.21.13.8843 from 27/11/2017 Now there is new NVIDIA driver from 07/12/2017 but I can't decide do I want it or not, because finally I see what I should see..... Hi, how are you viewing your hashrate on the pool? I've just starting mining lyra2v2 and wanted to check it's working ok. Sorry if this is such as n00b question, I've checked the MPH FAQ, my balance page is blank, and am out of ideas EDIT: Ok, I've waited a little longer now and some vertcoin ia showing up in my balance, it would still be nice to view the hashrate somehow.

Once you have your miner running, you can then use MPH's auto exchange functions to trade the coins you don't want for the coins that you do want. All of the wallet handling and everything is done for you, you just need to provide a wallet address to send the coins that you want to keep to.
To keep track of profitability, go to the wallet for the coin that you are auto exchanging to and look at 24 hour profitability. Mind you this data takes 24 hours to be even close to accurate, but it shows you clearly just how much you made in the past 24 hours.
Thanks dude, that's a huge help. I think I can see how it all works now, it just loops thru all the algorithms and MPH connects when the most profitable coin is selected. Nice idea with using different builds of ccminer also, I've tested the KlausT fork and it works great for me, I need to test some of the others asap. I may even try and see if I can use the DSTM miner for equihash but I'm just going to start with the basics first.

Hello, my miner is running Linux. Is it possible to use Multialgo switching? I looked at the software in the FAQ: https://miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=gettingstartedAnd it all looks to be Windows only Thanks EDIT: I tried to register and it won't let me. The 'register' button just does nothing after putting in my info!

I have no problem at all with tzcpool.xyz. Mining with ccminer (KlausT Version).
Does the KlausT Version give a better hashrate compared to tpruvot version? Thanks

Just a note for those if you with cuda 8 installed, it won't build unless you edit the '-with-cuda=/usr/local/cuda' part in configure.sh
It took me ages to figure out why it wouldn't build, hopefully this helps anyone else with the same issue!

Hi DSTM I have another suggestion, would it be possible to have an 'intensity' setting similar to the EWBF one. I sometimes need to use my GPU while still mining and using 'intensity 7' in EWBF worked great. Not a massive issue but would be nice to have. Thanks Hi guys can anyone tell me how can i monitor dstm console in realtime i have set telemetry but it does not show console i'm use simplemining and i want to have secondery method of monitoring the console
Use the --Logfile feature, then just read the logfile
