The prototype is done. As pictured, the case is $90. Subtract $12.50 if you only want one support beam and another $18 if you don't want the twelve metal tabs to attach fans to the case. I'll create a For Sale thread in a couple of days. In the mean time, feel free to PM if you are interested. Awesome! that looks better than I had anticipated! are you located in the USA?

Is ASICminer still making the blades? I'd hate to not be able to finish filling up the backplanes
holding a coin is no fun.... buy a backplane and some blades

Jones Gear at Amazon did have have the rev 2 asicminer blades for $187, now are $248. Price of btc effects the price of the blade. I see the 333mhs miners are back up to $25+ on evilbay. Two weeks ago they had some for $7. The crazy btc prices has me seeing my roi in 6 weeks not 6 months Plus my mines are worth more, win win. So much for all they nah sayers claiming I would never see roi back in September when I started this. nothing like the personal satisfaction of mining to a profit in 60 days or so..... when the naysayers said they would never even break even! Welcome to the Profit Club!

Update 22/11:
DHL are really being a problem now they have only just went and told me they will not due to these devices containing capacitors. New delivery agent is being appointed as we speak and still stock should be here for the Tuesday.
Nothing ever runs smoothly these days
Cheers
Edit: Looks like it's not DHL Fault, China Customs apparently are on high alert looking out for Miners as they know the value and what they can produce. Hopefully will clear customs soon
Thanks
YiFu?

Lots if deliveries today, including the delivery of my newborn son! I'll respond to all PMs later tonight, and any blades/backplanes ordered up to 1 am will be shipped tomorrow. I've got plenty left.
Congratulations on the baby! Better start saving bitcoins for college!

If this is the case, then there should be a DHL tracking number available. Do you have it? China has no reason to do what you say. There maybe an import tax at the destination country but I've never heard of one on the export side in China. This is all very strange to say the least. Glad to live in Canary's country! its nice ordering mining equipment and having it 2 days later

Hi Canary, From a UK AM Cube group buy: Looks like it's not DHL Fault, China Customs apparently are on high alert looking out for Miners as they know the value and what they can produce. Hopefully will clear customs soon. Is this also going to be a problem for your orders? Any status update on the shipment from friedcat? Thanks. that sucks if its true.....

just trying to help..... and i had read it somewhere else before... happy mining!
only if you connect the fans to the blades themselves... there is a connector on them for that....
that power supply just plugs into the backplane.... you cant hook anything extra to the power supply itself
its my understanding you can swap the top panel with the bottom one... and make it whatever color you want...
if you look at the blue ones.... the bottom is red....
and on the red ones.... the bottom is blue
I got the power supply connected and switched on, but how do I "turn it on"?
put a fuse in it?
hoping i have btc on hand when these are back in stock!

For those of you getting backplanes, this is the PSU you want: DPS-800GBA HP POWER SUPPLY
You can find them for around $30 on Amazon and ebay
I would also recommend some nylon standoffs to put between the board and blades, board/PSU, and board/resting surface.
these come in a 850w and a 1000w variety...... id suggest the 1000w just to be safe... you dont want to have the psu constantly running at max capacity.... this is the one I use http://amzn.to/1a9cGua
