I accept the argument that bitcoin can not be controlled by a government, but I do not agree that all the kind of cryptocurrencies will never be controlled by a government.
A government can decide to make it's own cryptocurrency , and they are going to be the only miners which makes them to have a control over the currency.

Our country is also looking in this direction where they can create their own coin and which will be controlled and governed by them. So that they can easily keep a track of it and might ban all other cypto currencies. Thus through this they will can use the blockchain technology and also keep a tab on things.

If you think that fork which is going to happen and create a new coin will have a good value then prior is better as you will get the new coin for free and it will have some worth in the market. So after the fork if btc price keep rising you will have a double benefit and good profits as well.

Yes it was a minor correction and it was good because it helps in stabilizing the prices and overall the demand and supply can be meet else it can happen that there are only sellers or only buyers in which either the price will steep rise or fall back badly. Though currently btc price is almost at 6k now. So good upward movement happening now.

Indians played well to the position in which they are today. they took NZ wickets at regular intervals and due to which they could not build a big score. I do not feel so that any coin can takeover btc in coming next 5 years. May be their demand may increase as the btc price becomes more expensive people might switch to altocins so that its affordable to them as well. This may result in a better chance of some of the good coins to march towards the highness of btc but beating them will be a tough ask.

I will also agree to you and not recommend any one to put all their saving under one basket. Ideally depending upon the risk appetite and age factor and earnings accordingly you should be putting the money in their volatile cypto currency. We have seen how badly the rates fall and it can be a huge loss in such cases.

I do not know what will happen when even if it crosses above 20000$ in coming next year or even by 2019. But I think that it would be more on a unrealistic not to compare the price of $10 million which would be insane if it happens anytime. I wish it to happen but somehow also thinking that it won't.

OP - This is the truth that btc prices are so volatile that it can just make or break i you do have so many btc. Just you had lost 700 - 800 $ on per btc. Though at present the btc prices have fallen to 5350$. Another thing you could have done is sold partial coins at regular interval spread across multiple days which could have helped you to make an average of all.

So far so good with your prediction. How is it that you can analyze the correct more than loose. Is it based on your experience that you can draw a conclusion or you using some sort of tools to analyze the winning prediction of some team? Hopefully your good future prediction can help many who bet on the sporting events.

Both can make profits.
