I'm not going to pitchfork, but watch how much FUD is going to come from others if you don't re-launch.  What exactly do you see as the downside of re-launch?

See, you might be right or you might not be, but this anonymous mine will always hand over the coin's head.  Many will blame devs and think devs are lying and mined for themselves.  Many others will be afraid of dump on exchange.  This will hurt devs long term even if its not their fault, and poison the ecosystem.

Do the smart thing and re-launch.

Wait, you want us to just let go that someone out there has 980+ blocks?  That's ridiculous.  Why would I want to invest in a coin where some anonymous guy is going to dump the second we hit an exchange?  Please make a new genesis block and re-launch.  You want your legacy to be a stutter-start launch with an anonymous pre-mine?

Edit: for the record I don't think anyone's scamming, and this is up to the devs.  But I don't understand why they're okay with someone stealing their hard work.  Re-launch, to punish the one who stole your mining early.

Hooray for listing!  If you look at the exchange's chat box history, they were definitely testing wallet earlier.  So it's really happening!

Some early dumpers may try to get out early, but I'm curious to see what happens when more people find out about the solar project and other commercial plans.

Congrats dev!  Edit your post title to say "[Listed at CCEX]".  Interest will grow.  Then if you actually close this loyalty rewards deal, this thing will skyrocket.  Of course its just promises until we have proof, but I'm rooting for you.

This is such an excellent point, I want to emphasize it.  If the top wallets move right after an exchange launches, then dev is moving coins to dump.  If the top wallets do not move right after exchange, then dev can be trusted.  We should trust dev for now, because he had explorer at launch so he is being transparent (but never make investments you cannot afford to lose).

A few people should note this down.

@mi6ee I didn't say he has no right to comment.  I even said "I am not saying you should be silent".  But he is posting the same complaint over and over.  It is not useful to anyone, and it makes him sound like a bad person to do business with because not every project succeeds.  If you feel like a project has failed, you should express your opinion and warn others, but that is different from repeatedly attacking it, which is what dany is doing.  I would never hire dany because I would be so scared he would attack me if he didn't get 100% his way.

Think of it this way.  You run a restaurant.  A customer comes and is unhappy.  He leaves a bad review on Yelp.  He is allowed to leave bad review of course, that's okay.  Then he leaves 20 more bad reviews on Yelp from same visit.  Then he leaves 5 more bad reviews on Yelp.  All without going to the restaurant again.  It's just pointless, and it makes no one want to invite you to a restaurant ever again.

Dev can you please let us know:

1) The logic behind the 5000 threshold?  It seems quite high.  If you have a good justification we are open to listen, but if this is not rooted in sound economics I would urge you to reconsider.  You should look at projects like DASH and PIVX to figure out block-to-node ratios as raised by the quoted comment.  You need to encourage holding by making the reward threshold large, but you should not leave smaller miners in the dust.  Remember your vision: reward miners.  Do not only reward whales.

2) Will you exclude your pre-mines from the threshold?  It seems like those shouldn't be rewarded, right?  That would be unfair to everyone else, as no one can compete with millions of SHAFT and you will get all the token.

Dany, I don't think it's literally true it won't be listed by anyone without a block explorer.  Can I ask you something?  I understand you had a bad experience with this project, and have moved on to other projects/clients.  But should you really be so negative against a former client?  If I was a future business partner of yours, and I saw this, I would be very worried that the second something went wrong, you would start bad-mouthing my business.  Why should anyone work with you if there is risk that you will just bad-mouth them if you are unhappy.  If you want business partners to trust you, they must trust you can be mature even if a project doesn't work out how you want it to.

You don't have to agree with CharnaCoin, and I am not saying you should be silent.  But you have already said a lot.  Yet you keep coming back over and over, as if to hurt the project with malice.  This will make future clients very scared to do business with you.  You are damaging your brand right now.

Be a professional: express your opinion once, and let the people decide.  


Edit: It sounds like most people here want to wait and see how development unfolds.  With so much promise and good PR releases, one cannot blame them.  Your opinions are well documented and people will take them into account, but they will also take into account all of the positive news from devs.  There is no harm in waiting for now.  If you are worried, don't mine, that simple.

Just a rough attempt to gauge value, don't take this as gospel:

We have 15365 Blocks at an average of 92 IRD/block (started at ~95/block, currently ~89/block).  Product = 1413580 IRD.  What will that 1.4 million IRD be worth?

If you think we can do half as well as SIGT – the only other mainstream no-premine altcoin in the last couple quarters (I think it’s fair to call us mainstream at 50+ forum pages) – then we would get a market cap of US$1.3 million in the short term.  That means price will eventually be close to $1/IRD, but it won’t launch like that.  Expect it to launch much lower (maybe 50 cents/ IRD) especially if it launches on a low volume exchange like SouthXchange, and build up to $1/IRD over a few months.

I think this is reasonable because we don't have any of the drama around SIGT and we definitely have as-strong or stronger community, but we don't have a flashy new algo.  So saying we can do half their market cap in a few months seems like a reasonable way to get low-end estimate of potential (and I'm suggesting we will launch at half of that potential, so 50 cents/IRD).

ANN says "Premine :25% Mined in 1st block".  Dev says he needs it for use with the loyalty industry companies he will make deals with.  We can only hope it's true until we see proof of these deals, but it makes sense that the dev needs something to offer partners.  I am optimistic, but always remember to invest hash in new coins at your own risk.

Agree with this.  What's the last CryptoNote anyone saw get listed?  Probably XLC on Cryptopia, which is having massive issues (read the last few pages of ther threads, tons of people's wallets won't work and the dev is absent for several weeks now).  So it is not easy at all, at least devs are trying.

You can't just announce it to your living room and call that a public launch.  If you're actively trying to prevent people from picking up on it (like this, the largest forum) then you're pre-mining.
