I wasn't lying.  I just didn't know the reasons.

quote from email:

The sentencing hearing in this case, originally scheduled for January 5, 2018, will be continued. As soon as the new date is scheduled, the United States Attorney's Office will make all victims aware.

Court date continued AGAIN!  Merry Christmas Garza family!  I am guessing we will get at least 3 continuances though.

Grin Grin Yes! finally some movement
I hope you are joking.  I bet it will be another year before sentencing.

I am curious. Why doesn't the whole "tell the truth" thing apply both ways? You guys demand GAW is truthful and transparent, yet you guys are not. You have posters literally just making things up. For example, that Scott guy has resorted to just making up facts, without a shred of proof. Most here don't bother to do any real research and present any real facts.
I read that post 5 times and I am completely confused why you are commenting?  Are you family of Garza or something?

They must be having a fire sale at United.  $120 to go to Hartford for the sentencing.  Maybe get a chance to sit next to the big man himself lol.  Price just dropped a bunch out of DFW.

It was a scrap book or photo album of Uncle Stu and his family over the years, and it included many photos of Homero as well as news articles or something. That tidbit came to light when Homero jumped ship and detailed it when he joined Shinner's side and amended complaint. Crowing about how he was included in the family photos and even this book or album Uncle Stu received on his birthday.

Interesting to me is that he refused acceptance of the Tesla. I recall betting that the reason he left the license plates on was because he knew Uncle Stu would not accept it and he would simply drive it home himself. It was clear this was the case because in the emails he went to great lengths to explain to sshh don't tell Elise, that he left the license plates on because he thought that Uncle Stu would want to drive it immediately. He detailed this twice or three times to her unsolicited. She never asked him, she didn't respond when he explained it the first time, and again didn't say a word the second time he said it, thus forcing him to say it a third time.  Very very funny that. Fucking little snake.  Roll Eyes
I wonder how it benefitted Homero to "Crow" about his buddy's involvement in the scam?  Wish there were more details about that.  I'm guessing either he didn't want a judgement against him when he is out of prison or he was trying to whitewash his image before he is sentenced.  Anyone agree or have another opinion?  Interesting about the scrapbook.

39. Fraser admits that Garza attempted to give him a car that Fraser refused to accept,
that he and Garza occasionally socialized with their families and other mutual friends, that he
and Garza communicated by text message, that Fraser encouraged Garza to devote adequate
attention to GAW-HSI, and that Fraser’s wife gave Fraser a book for his 50th birthday, and
Fraser respectfully refers the Court to that book for its contents.
Fraser denies the remaining
allegations in Paragraph 39 as to himself and is without knowledge or information sufficient to
form a belief as to the truth or falsity of the remaining allegations in Paragraph 39 as to Garza or
any other defendant, and for that reason denies them.

Was it this book?  https://www.amazon.com/Ricky-Sticky-Fingers-Julia-Cook/dp/1937870081

Strange and random the mention about the book.  Anyone know what book it was?

He rejected the Tesla? How rude.
Explain, I haven't read it all yet lol.

Might be time to get your tickets to the sentencing? Saw United had a pretty good deal from DFW for $235.  Dropped over $100.  https://www.google.com/flights/?curr=USD#search;f=DFW,DAL;t=BDL;d=2018-01-04;r=2018-01-06;~lcd=CidHdEtSa0JHLS0tLS0tLS0tLXBmZmw2QUFBQUFGb0xMU29HVjU2QUESI2lkX2QyZThmZTgxNjUzZjQ0MzZhMjY0ZGY0MjVmOTc4ZTAx

Give me a sec and I will login to the court system to check what Uncle Stu had to say.

OH I hope they find his dirty little fingers in some cookie jar someday!

He swore under oath, and under penalties of perjury, that he was broke.

That's how he slimed out of the GAWSUIT.

Big Brother WILL be watching him...

...and his victims will still be wanting restitution.
I sure would take 10 years for a few thousand bitcoins.  Let's suppose he has just a few hundred stashed away somewhere.  It wouldn't be that difficult to get someone to exchange them into cash.  I just don't believe the scumbag was that stupid.  I would also like to know where the proceeds went from his $400,000 house that he sold in Brattleboro?  Wouldn't that be fair game to the victims?

Deer Josh Garza's cellmates,

Please don't harm Josh in any way because after his release from prison he will access the tens of millions that he stashed away, whereupon we'll be paid back what is owed us. All he'll need when that times comes is a private key which he possesses. I beg of you to NOT try to beat said key out of him, thus enriching yourselves.

Thank you

Friends of Garza

"I'm gonna like this place. My mates already know my name like they knew I was coming."

You are funny!  I wonder how many ramen soups a bitcoin will get you in prison?  I bet a lot of things have been bought for a lot less than a bitcoin in prison?

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Doft on: November 06, 2017, 11:45:09 AM
Doesn't seem like there is much interest in Doft.  Gee, I wonder why?  Maybe because these reasons.

1. Truckers are not technical people.  They don't care about cryptocurrency.
2.  Every trucker has a smartphone and uses whatever app they find in the market to find loads.
3.  Most truckers don't find their own loads or have their own authority.
4.  Trucking companies don't use brokers because they typically don't pay or they take forever to pay.  If it is a business they are hauling for they have to pass credit checks since most loads are not prepaid.
5.  10% fee?  Where is the savings?
6.  Only 400,000 truckers are independents

The list goes on...

Hey, if you need any help with that letter I found a collection of great examples.

http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/blogs/dealbook/madoff_victims_impact.PDF

"Shhh! Don't tell anybody, but I hope I fucked up some people's life just as badly.
I think I'll wax one of my cars today. Will it be the red sportscar or the red sportscar?"
Here is my version edited for accuracy and relevance.  Feel free to critique:

I am one of the fortunate ones.  My lifestyle is modest with a $50,000 a year salary working in a factory.  At the time I invested $1500 in the GAW Miners Hashlets and Paycoin I was in school.  I decided it was not feasible to mine with real miners in my apartment location.  I made much less than $50,000 working part time and attending school.  Maybe $10,000 a year.  I "invested" in Hashlets with a modest $300 initially.  Over the next few months from October to December I invested a little more and more until I reached $1500 worth in December 2014.  I cannot remember the exact date everything came crashing down but by that time it was too late for me and my investment.  I had a 100% loss.

Now I don't have time to cry or worry about the $1500 I lost.  I got my education in spite of a $1500 loss when I needed that money the most.  That was around 5 bitcoin at the time which would be worth over $25,000 today.  I frequently think how stupid I was to fall for such a simple scam that enriched an individual that did not even have the foresight to hold on to the money that we invested in him.  He used it for wasteful vacations, expensive vehicles and other frivolities.  Supposedly he has nothing left, which may be true, but I hope the court keeps a close eye on this.  I work nearly every day 12 hours a day in a large factory.  I probably will not be able to attend the plea hearing because I am over 1500 miles away in Oklahoma City, OK.   I frequently check the forums online to inform individuals about this case so that their voices are heard also.

My life now consists of working hard and trying to forget about this small mistake.  Hopefully I do not fall victim to a similar scam since I have learned my lesson.  I am a little concerned that Josh Garza is the only one being charged for this crime.  There were certainly many more individuals that cooperated with him and profited from this scam that never alerted anyone to the possibility of this outcome.  The financial aspect is another concern.  While Josh Garza could have borrowed or otherwise acquired the finances to do what he did, the whole scam would not have been possible without the money that was provided to him by Stuart Fraser his close friend and investment partner.  While Stuart Fraser may not be 100% at fault it certainly would never have been possible without his financial support and lending credibility to this scam.  There was a Wall Street Journal article written about this that spelled out that his support came directly from Stuart Fraser and Cantor Fitzgerald.

The sentencing hearing for defendant, Homero Joshua Garza, has been set for January 5, 2018, 10:00 AM at North Courtroom, 450 Main St., Hartford, CT before Judge Robert Chatigny.

can someone attend? are you allowed to take videos in court?
I've never been to this particular court.  Last time I went to Federal court here in Oklahoma they took all your electronics.  The lawyers had their electronics.  I had to lock mine up in a lock box by the security station.  I would totally book me a ticket and go, but I just got a feeling this judge is going to be wishy washy about sentencing. I bet that isn't even the actual date he gets sentenced.

I wonder what disorder Josh Garza suffers from?(Judge likes to diagnose his people he sentences) I'm not too confident in this judge Chatigny.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMHjr9NBCm4&t=136

Why is Uncle Stu on the board of directors for a 911 memorial video documentary project?  Maybe a little irony?  http://www.projectrebirth.org/

Can we do a little friendly betting on how much Stuart will have to pay or not pay at all?  Maybe bet how many months Homero will get after sentencing?  Everyone chip in $5 and really donate to a 911 charity?

Wish Bob Audette had some real news or opinions on this matter.  He has definitely been better in the past.
