2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🤔 How do you distribute your portfolio? BTC vs Altcoins on: December 10, 2020, 05:16:08 PM
How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?

Atm I have 35% BTC then a big chunk of ETH and a handfull of other altcoins (see distribution below)

https://altpocket.io/profile/Octular

BTC feels much safer at the same time as I see a big upside in the altcoins compared to historical levels.
I don't want to hold Bitcoin even though I know its value will increase in the future but I want to increase my assets many times, so I usually only speculate on altcoins during bull run.

Since I dont have much capital, it is imperative that I speculate and trade often to increase my assets faster. I know the risks are quite high but don't worry, I have my own trading strategy and always use stop loss.

My portfolio currently only has FTMs, because it just came out with news and their Staking Tools will definitely increase demand for coins. Read the news at the link below:

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is fine to support Bitcoin Cash. on: December 10, 2020, 04:38:54 PM
We don't all like paying high fees. Paying $10 to send a transaction is extremely high especially to people in poor countries..

This forum is filled with a lot of toxic bitcoin maximalists. Bitcoin was created to be a peer to peer currency but we have this narrative pushed by people like michael saylor that its not meant to be a currency.

Remember newbies that Bitcoin Cash has MANY advantages over Bitcoin.
I am completely clear about this and so are everyone here. But you see, no matter how far Bitcoin Cash's technology surpasses Bitcoin, its value cannot match Bitcoin's! Why?

This is the story of Bitcoin uniqueness, everyone is looking at it as one of the best digital assets of all time. In the midst of a serious epidemic and economic downturn in many countries, Bitcoin is the only source of hope, not Bitcoin Cash Smiley

This is why even though Bitcoin transaction fees are expensive, a lot of people buy and hold. Be aware of how the Crypto market works so that we do not make these false comparisons.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 08, 2020, 08:10:07 PM

COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries. But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?
My answer is NEVER!
Why do people have the same absurd view that Bitcoin will be replaced by fiat money? Obviously, you guys don't really understand fiat money yet and guys are underestimating it.

You know that in order to change one currency must be overcome so many barriers of both economic and political? I highly recommend that you read about the meaning of fiat money in the article below and give your own answer.  Smiley

5  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin retirement account on: December 08, 2020, 07:38:21 PM
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with trying to make Bitcoin a retirement plan, I have indeed been running it from 2018.
I always buy Bitcoin every month for $ 50, then I store it in a wallet which I plan to retirement account. It doesn't feel like it has
been running for two years, my target is until 2030. Hopefully I can be consistent and in 2030 I can enjoy the Bitcoin that I have
and hope Bitcoin in 2030 the price is very high.

It's a great plan and I have a similar savings plan and have published it to my college friends. They were really convinced by me because the value of Bitcoin will really be very high in the future.

But to optimize your plan, you should spend about 30 minutes per day analyzing the market and choosing the price to buy bitcoin and hold over the long term. This will reduce the risk of your portfolio as well as when you need money urgently you will sell Bitcoin at a profit, not at a loss.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Is Political, Not Technical on: December 08, 2020, 07:08:14 PM
Good post but I think you are concentrating too much in the way things work now, if you look at the past you will see that the asset which was selected as a form of money was the one that had the best characteristics, this is why in ancient times gold and silver were chosen by many independent cultures as their form of money, but this has been distorted in recent times, bitcoin is just a way to try to go back to those times in which the superior asset became dominant.
I think Dr. Steven Englander's point is correct, money is political and it should not be replaced by Bitcoin or any other asset class.

Not only does fiat money represent the value of each nation, but it also represents political power in countries. If fiat money were meaningless, then there would be no differentiation between currencies across countries. All have its reasons.

Although Bitcoin has the ability to reduce inflation, it is very volatile, which is also one of the factors that makes it impossible to be a universal currency. We are talking about the macro and don't bring the microscopic factors for comparison. Wink
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Valour Launches World's First Fee-Free Bitcoin Exchange Traded Product (ETP) on: December 08, 2020, 06:35:27 PM
In a year where BTC has tripled it's original value. This is a very important move, as his will encourage investors to further make investments and engagement with the Cryptocurrency
It seems that you have not read the article carefully, the below paragraph has been adjusted and management fee is even higher than Grayscale. So reread the article and give your true point of view.

Valor is really confusing the Crypto community at the moment, and this is a big minus to me for Valor's reputation. And be sure not to shill this news unless you are unfamiliar with Valor's plot. Thanks. Wink
8  Economy / Economics / Re: I did some research Biden will make crypto and Usdc coin great on: December 08, 2020, 05:51:58 PM
Biden is Going to make crypto to shine in usa.
And will make the USDC to great.
I did some research USA Economy will in full ethereum and USDC , so USA dollar will be on ethereum platform and vitalic bute will be the most important person about USA dollar.

And the question is how they are going back the USDC and USDT..

The question is?
Where does the Bitcoin stand in this?
Do they need the Bitcoin?

What evidence do you research that can confirm that the US economy will use Ethereum and USDC as the main currencies? I wonder that the major media channels like Cointelegraph, Bitcoinnews have not been able to reach that conclusion yet but you dare to be sure about this. Smiley
I really don't want to talk about it unless you give convincing evidence to people here about your thoughts. Since this to me is unrealistic, I have never heard of any plans for the US government to use Ethereum or USDC as the primary currency or payment method in their home country.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A free land for bitcoin on: December 07, 2020, 06:22:03 PM
I think we have to wait for a long time before we see an acceptance of cryptocurrency in our country, there are already many innovations related to cryptocurrency so it is not impossible that someday it would be accepted in a country, let us just wait for it, if that would happen in the future then there would be many people who will get interested on it, which makes the community bigger.
I don't mean rich and poor, but adopting Bitcoin as a currency in African countries with poor economies won't have much of a positive effect.
They just have no choice but Bitcoin, nor can they use dollars as their primary currency because it belongs to the US government's copyright.  And Bitcoin has to be the only option and it just stops there and there is no other service evolution.  Do you think so? Undecided
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: December 07, 2020, 05:31:27 PM
How anyone who Say Can proof Bitcoin is not ponzi?

There is More proof and evidence that it is ponzi.

I Don't mind If its ponzi but i Don't want to exit too late but not too early so When is best time to exit?

Ponzi?  Bitcoin is ponzi?  Looks like you're pretty negative about Bitcoin.  In fact, Bitcoin has no one to regulate it and its value is decided by the crowd and I've never seen a ponzi pattern like this Smiley
Perhaps you need to read and understand more about what Ponzi really means.  My advice is not to follow the crowd to create meaningless posts like this, peace.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has held bitcoin for more than 5 years? on: December 07, 2020, 01:14:53 PM
Hey Guys,
Just curious to see who has held bitcoin on this forum for more than 5 years?
And also, if you've sold it, when did you got in and when did you sold out?

Cheers!
Why is this important to you?

Because I feel most people has sold out.

Its good to have some understanding of the trading history.
I have understood the purpose of your question. The majority of investors here cannot hold for more than 5 years because the Crypto market is considered a manipulative market and it is ingrained in everyone's subconscious. I believe so.
I was also an early Bitcoin investor investing in it back in 2014 and unfortunately I bought BTC at around $ 800. After I bought Bitcoin, it dropped more and more and I completely lost faith in it and sold all BTC at $ 325 by the end of 2014. From then on, I lost interest in BTC until five 2017.
It can be concluded that there were a lot of investors in BTC early on but not everyone has the patience and confidence to hold it over a 5 year period. And of course, not many of them are now rich Smiley
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Four Years of Living on Bitcoin Alone. Can You Beat That? Is that even possible? on: December 07, 2020, 12:17:22 PM
Just a few hours ago I bumped into this story of a family that has lived on Bitcoin for 4 yrs travelling around 40 countries. That story did not just got me excited and motivated, but it also activated some doubts from within that I started to ask "how?". Was that even possible?

It is very rare to hear this kind of story but the interesting family claimed that this was made feasible after they had liquidated all their assets, from their retirement accounts and cars, to their clothes and toys, and bet it all on #Bitcoin in 2017 when it was valued at $900 per coin. Did you read that? Nine hundred dollars then! May be that could give the claim a kind of credibility after all. What do you think?

This doesn't really make sense for me. It greatly affects our way of life and will lack a lot of basic human needs. Also, this family has invested in Bitcoin at around $ 3500 and now their profits are around x5.
But think, if they were to invest 1/5 of their total assets and find other coins or invest in potential startup then perhaps their money is already x10 or x20. I find that they missed out on other rich opportunities.
In addition, the wandering life will also greatly affect the spirit of their children. So this really doesn't make sense at all.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wrote an app to compare the price evolution for crypto pairs on Binance on: December 06, 2020, 06:10:54 PM
Every time you open the app it downloads the most recent price data. The app uses the 4-hours interval price data (like viewing a candle chart where each candle represents 4 hours). That means you get 6 price points in one day. Logically, the biggest "delay" - compared to the current price can be 4 hours. I tried to make the interval 1 hour, or even 15 minutes, but then the app gets very laggy.
Thanks for your reply Smiley
Anyway, H1 or M15 is not too important for Binanz because your app is only used for long-term analysis, it makes more sense.
I thank you very much for creating such a useful app, and when I use Binanz's images and data to create my content, I will soon donate for your efforts. Wink
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wrote an app to compare the price evolution for crypto pairs on Binance on: December 06, 2020, 05:37:18 PM
Wow, you are a talented person creating an app with this amazing utility. People can easily check prices quickly without having to visit any websites.
My question is when I download price data of crypto pairs will it still automatically update to the nearest exchange rate on Binance? About how many seconds is the delay?
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I study to learn how to trade? on: December 06, 2020, 04:05:35 PM
I try myself to predict the market of the particular cryptocurrency for trading. I don't succeed all the time, because my prediction will be associated of random choice. This means I open up a sell order to get executed for specific price, and if it didn't get executed within the target time I'll change the selling price target cancelling the previous order. Same is being followed at the time of buying. I find it simple as I wasn't completely into day trading.
It's also a pretty good strategy and I guess you're good at buying / selling force analysis. This is also considered a wise way of trading and it helps us get rid of greed, which makes thousands of traders fail.
There was a time when I had a trading strategy similar to yours and it was quite effective against volatile market situations. If the candles formed are not the same as our target then we will cancel the order and lose some fee instead of losing a lot of money. But this strategy is only for those who are patient and have a lot of experience in trading. Am I right, bro?  Grin
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get VIP Signals? on: December 06, 2020, 03:32:20 PM
I have searched a lot. And also watched many videos but still didn't get any legit VIP Signals group.

Some are those which are asking for the fee. I want to submit the fee but afraid they will grab and will not give the correct signals.

Want help If there is anyone who knows any good crypto VIP signals group. So please share.
The signals are legitimate, but the important thing is whether you trust the trader to provide the signal.
Okay, I will give you a signal channel with a very high probability of winning in Vietnam, they are all very experienced traders and they are very good at Spot Trading in Binance. The special thing here is that each signal they give will have about 3 - 4k viewers and trading altcoins will also become easier haha.

17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Looking for bitcoin with good exchange on: December 06, 2020, 02:27:19 PM
Trading, speculation is risky and sometimes you need to accept a loss in your trade, but I have a way to minimize that loss. The first plan will be that you need to buy a lot of USDT to meet everyone's buying and selling needs, when there are people who need to buy your Bitcoin, you will buy it from the exchange and send it directly to their wallet; I recommend you to use Trust Wallet because dep or withdraw fees are very cheap. Therefore, you will receive a higher fee.
Absolutely do not buy and hold Bitcoin now because it will be risky, maybe its price will crash at any moment.
The second plan is that you only offer trading for USDT, XRP or LTC. All have very cheap withdraw or dep fees and very fast transactions, so it is both convenient for transferring coins and also receives a higher fee difference, and less risky when trading Bitcoin (because sometimes transaction fee is suddenly soaring).
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy 5 coins and wait till each of them grows 10%, then sell on: December 06, 2020, 02:00:15 AM
Hey guys,

I am new in the crypto trading and i was analyzing the biggest currencies and I had the following strategy:

Buy 5 coins for 1000EUR each => wait till each of them grows 10% => sell.
If it went down, I still wait until it will go back up +10%. It's ok if it will take weeks.

From my analysis (correct me if I am wrong) it almost always does after a while.
If one of them didn't after a long time, the other 4 should compensate for the loss.

This is a strategy that has never been overestimated. It's too rudimentary and has no security for your portfolio.
Try for example applying your strategy to the Sushiswap token, otherwise luckily you buy at $ 7 and now its price has dropped to $ 2.28. So your assets have been divided 3 times and your capital is still buried for 3 months up to the present time.
Obviously this is a very bad strategy because without a stop loss the market can be very volatile and we will never be sure where its price will be tomorrow. So before a good trade, risk management is very important, spend more time learning it bro Wink
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: good news for bitcoin at the moment on: December 05, 2020, 07:02:40 PM
Well known international restaurant franchise Pizza Hut has started accepting payment via cryptocurrency in Venezuela, South America.  As of now they are accepting Bitcoin, Dash and XPT (CryptoBuyer's * coin).  Soon they will accept more alts.  Which is a great news for all cryptocurrency lovers.  For this reason my personal target for bitcoin on 2021 will be $ 25k at least.  What about yours?

This isn't good news to me. We all know Venezuela is in trouble when their currency is inflationing up to a hundred thousand percent. The majority of their people now have to use Crypto or the dollar as a means of payment, so the fact that Bitcoin and top altcoins are used in the payment method is nothing special.
Right now, I'm just expecting major countries in the world such as the US, Japan, and Mexico to use Bitcoin, which is really good news for Bitcoin holders.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 05, 2020, 11:49:34 AM
On December 1, the Libra Association announced a change in its name. The campaign now has the name " Diem». https://twitter.com/DiemAssociation/status/1333790806314926089 Also when going to the address https://libra.org, redirects to a new address https://www.diem.com The campaign logo remains the same.
https://www.diem.com/en-us/updates/diem-association/

I understand this was done so that the negative that preceded the launch of Libra was not transferred to the project that is being launched in January. How do you explain the reason for this rebranding?

This is quite difficult to understand the purpose of the Libra team. Maybe the old project named Libra has failed, so they want to switch to the new name Diem to have better luck.
Or maybe because there are too many scam capital groups called Libra, they have changed the name of the project. When you search Google, you can also see that there are many calling channels with unclear information and if Libra continues the project, many people may be scammed. So maybe this is their main goal.
