I think bitcoin main goal is to make all the transactions without intermediaries at all, make all transactions transparent is very necessary for the time being even later.
Goal is that their should be no regulation or any middle intermediaries existing while transferring from one place to another. Also to cut short the time that this institutions or different banks used to take it now with the help of bitcoin can be delivered quickly and with less fees. |

"Bitcoin $500,000 in three years" is a very low predictions to Me. Having seeing that the current growth if sustain by 2020 we should be above $500,000. Bitcoin get great potential for growth in future and we cannot underestimate this potential as 2017 has proof to all of us that Bitcoin can progress without the help or adoption of governments and financial expert who has been predicting doom for Bitcoin and has been saying Bitcoin is a bubbles.$500,000 must be cross in 3 years to come. We should cross our hand and see what is going to happen in future. Well for me its a very high prediction because it may not be possible for every year to have this high returns especially when we have now so many other coins which is very easy for transfers and low network fees. The markets are getting very volatile might be the fall in place it seems. It has reached to 15k levels and may be before Christmas big players might sell and the btc prices may fall to 10k levels. Holding may be a little risk I think now since form 17k we have already seen it coming back to 15. if it rises from 15k its fine else the crash might be coming soon. |

I am still holding. The fall in Bitcoin's price is due to the surge in BCH . It's quite obvious that they are pumping BCH again. Am just waiting to see how hard they dump it this time. Bitcoin will grow stronger when BCH dumps it.  I am aslo hodling. I am sure that the price will rise up again. So no worries The fall yesterday went till 16k and in evening was back to 17500. then again it started to fell to 16400$ approx and again in few hours it started to rise and at present it has reached 17200$. From last 2 days the price is falling and rising up and many are getting panic and possible would be doing a panic sell. But as usual holding will earn you back your profits like before. |

It is very hard to decide and suggest of which ico will succeed,but as for me, you better look for an ICO that are willing to return back your investment in case of ICO failure.
This is important point and I do look at it also. Because if its a genuine project ICO may return back your money if they do not meet the criteria. But now if we see daily new ICO are coming and it is not possible to keep track of so much . its getting difficult to identify the good project where to invest. You mentioned that Coinbase had some high fees but do you need to pay less fee now yu have a desktop wallet? Or did you switch to another buying/selling site?
At present same goes with the blockchain wallet too. their fees are sky high and also along with the fees you have to pay additional fees which goes to miner. And above that for days your transaction will remain unconfirmed. This is going crazy will need to check some other wallet now which have faster transaction done and lesser fees. |

Controversial because of criminal activities??? I dont think so. I think bitcoin and other forms of cryptocurrencies are controversial because of its price and how many people or businesses are using it. It grows rapidly and its price continues to rise. Its price increases because a lot used to trade and are investing on it, even the rich ones. Theres a wider adoptation of crypto now compared before, and more people are becoming aware of the crypto thing, and thats what i think it becomes controversial.
It is said to be controversial by some of them is due to the fact that its all virtual. So their is no physical form like gold or other stuff which help you know the value of it. The reason why it is said to be bubble is also that price is just pumping without have anything concrete as per the authorities. If bitcoin is a bubble then maybe that 1-4 in your list should not be in the same name. If that is true then bitcoin would have been dead by now, so how come it is still alive up until now? All i can say is only the competitors of bitcoin says that it is a bubble so that investors would have second thought in their minds whether or not they continue to invest on bitcoin or change the plan and invest on other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin price has shocked many experts of the industries in their respective fields. Infact CEO of JPM, Warren Buffet and many top notch people are considering bitcoin as a bubble and nothing more. But why is it so they are not changing their statements even after seeing that btc has being becoming stronger day by day and its price is also rising. I recommend you to buy iota because IOTA has recently become the 4th biggest crypto coin after a massive increase in price. But ripple xrp is also good, so you can buy some of iota and some of ripple xrp. Suddenly I have started to read that IOTA have gained too much of the attention and its price is continuously rising. Now thinking is this a good option for short term say 1 month to hold? Also Ripple is another good coin which should be bought or kept holding it for 2018 as the real price surge has started now and will provide very good returns in coming years. |

If you could still afford to lose some of your money you can try again but there's no assurance that you can win back all your loss because it will just based on your luck. It is your decision and you should follow your instinct.

I really don't care for XRP, but I like to follow the money. I'm betting on banks/Ripple to take a huge chunk of the cryptocurrency marketcap in 2018.
