Agreed. Not only that, they also don't want their own coin rising too fast in value. Most developers do everything possible to get their coins pumped up and make profit on it themselves. Electroneum want to keep the price stable to help secure more partnerships and bring slower natural growth with less volatility.

I'm really impressed with that. That's one reason why it's not being listed on every exchange yet. They wanted to share the partnership news without it getting pumped then dumped and it worked pretty well.

Exchanges will come, and hopefully natural growth price wise throughout the year and beyond. Happy to see the project comes first for them.

Most exchanges are suffering because of the influx of new people to Crypto. Many are stopping new registrations until they find a solution. Didn't take much to bring Coinsmarkets down though lol. Hopefully COLX can find a new home.

That is exactly why Bitcoin is overly complicated for most. Having so many digits isn't at all convenient for a coin to be used for payments. It works better for trading but that's not what Crypto was created for in the first place.

There are pros and cons for both though, Electroneum picked this system for a reason,  so all we can do is trust in their decision and see how things progress.

It is not too late to buy some. It is still the beginning.

To be fair, they are mostly just overloaded right now. Crytopia already put out a statement about their crazy growth since December. The number of users almost tripled in a month. They have taken steps to provide some stability and they are working on the issues over the next few weeks, as well as taking on more staff. I use that exchange before others as I prefer it for many of my alts.

I am pretty sure it'll be running well again soon. Can't really blame them for the explosive growth and issues that came with it. It is obviously not permanent. It can happen to any exchange and they all have their issues from time to time. There is no perfect exchange and there never will be.

It is actually 5% this month, then 6% next month. It goes up 1% each month until the airdrop wallet funds run out.

They have info in the news section about the exchange issues. They have had explosive growth since the beginning of December, from 500k users to 1.3 million or so today. They closed down certain markets and prevented new registrations to help with the exchange performance while they do the necessary work to fix it.

It is probably related to that. They listed Electroneum in November and it brought a ridiculous number of new signups and volume. Everything was fine before that. Blame them lol.

I managed to withdraw mine yesterday, took much longer than normal though. I am sure they will sort it out soon. Hope you all get your coins asap.

They already tweeted about the wallet issues, they said it was a priority to upgrade the transaction system over the next couple of weeks. We just have to give them time, they are taking a lot on and the growth has been explosive by anyone's standards. All these issues will be left behind and hopefully forgotten soon, then the real fun can begin.

I find your post a bit strange, you surely have not been following the project and it's news updates at all?

It's the other way around. The majority of other top 50 marketcap coins are driven by pure speculation. What is your idea of real value, what adds value? People focus on the blockchain technology too much, security features, new algorithms etc.

To the average person, what does that really mean? Not a lot to be honest. It's a geeks world, and a relatively small world at that.

This is a currency, a currency is meant to be used, not just bought and sold. What value would fiat have if you can't use it in the shops? It would just be some bits of paper wouldn't it?

So a financial institution brings out a new payment/credit card, it's absolutely full of new tech, it's the best of its kind with advanced security features and a stunning futuristic design. The catch is you can't actually use it. Nobody accepts it. That's pretty much what the majority of coins in the market are like, they only serve a purpose of getting traded on the exchanges.

I said before that the market is at risk of becoming a speculative bubble if that scenario goes on. The future of crypto depends on its adoption and how useful it will be going forward.

Electroneum does not have anything new to appease the Crypto geeks among us, it's a fork of Monero. Nothing wrong with that, it's secure and built on a good foundation.

The value is coming from the partnerships that they are making. They secured a payment processing partner, a telecoms industry partner and are working on many more. They said yesterday that these deals are small compared to one they are currently working on. They said its an absolute monster of a partnership.

With more to come, Electroneum could be a very useful currency in the future.

Add to that the viral marketing, the obvious talent they have as marketers, the growing interest and community and of course  the plans they have for mass adoption and you have a potential winner.

I am not a blind supporter of Electroneum. I have investments in quite a few projects and I can see the negatives with ETN too. I just think that Electroneum has a lot of potential and I'm following it closely.

The bigger exchanges will come, Electroneum have no doubt applied for listing. The mining element was delayed but it will be in Beta soon, a select group will get to test it out. You can try and apply for Beta testing if you like. They have the details on their official Facebook page.

Contraband, the community manager from the Ann thread pretty much said the same. They are fully aware of the missing bounty payments and they will be sorted out. Other technical issues too.

Thanks for the update Contraband, maybe you should drop into the bounty thread too, lots of worried bounty hunters in there. I know that is not your role or responsibility though. I am looking forward to seeing what Electroneum can achieve over this year.

Sounds like you had a rough few weeks, hope you manage to get things sorted. I had that issue once with Google Auth and I Never want to experience it again. I would suggest Authy instead as it comes with built-in backup.

They have big plans for 2018 and the price right now means DBIX is very undervalued. There is a lot of room for growth, hopefully, slow steady growth and not an explosion You bought in on a high but I am confident you will make money in the long-term if you hold your coins.
