101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason hunters dump reward as soon as received. Trust Exchange etc on: August 07, 2020, 04:44:25 PM
I was going through meditation on why hunters sell (I don't like the word dump because you can sell and buy again  Grin Roll Eyes ) their reward token as soon as it is distributed and listed. I came to realise some factors, they are :

1. The technology behind the project , whether new or old.

2. Trusting the project to compete favourable with other protects if any was existing.

3. If the project already has an existing mother project backing it.

4. If there is a partnership with a trusted, company, outfit, conglomerate etc.

5. A good project with low maximum supply.

6. Speculated exchanges to be listed

7. And exchange(s) where the coin gets listed eventually.

These are some factors I think determines the mind of hunters to sell immediately or to hodl for a while.

Many say when it is handled by a known bounty manager but I don't totally agree with that view because we have seen so many coin that became trash after distribution, some never got listed, some ended up being scam.

Edit: There is another point while hunters can decide to hodl though, if the reward value or the unit received is worthless  Grin Shocked

Just to add to these lists, 'failure of the project team to keep their promises'. This is a very strong factor that makes hunters to lose hope in the project and sell immediately the reward is distributed.  Some projects team will promise hunters few weeks after IEO, they add another weeks, add another months.  With this kind of attitude, hunters will think that such project cannot be trusted and can even run away at any time.  The moment the rewards are being distributed like this, they sell it off immediately.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do i get scammed? he want my encrypted wallet hash? on: August 06, 2020, 07:50:24 PM
Never heard about such thing as an "encrypted wallet hash". But a cryptographic hash won't help his investigate anything. Maybe he tries to trick you into giving your seed or private key, because a hash and a private key have the same format. Either way, don't tell him anything. Ask him to explain what is the problem. Look at Metamask's github or social profile to see if there's a warning about some ongoing bug.

Your instincts are correct, this does look like a typical scam.

Exactly, I'm thinking the same way.  You need to be very careful. I don't think a support centre can request for seed phrase/private key to your wallet address.  Any request like that looks more of scam than real.  Be careful of giving encrypted information about your wallet out, especially if you have lots of valuables in there.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New exchange tokens worth investing on??? on: August 06, 2020, 07:42:32 PM
I will like to drop my likes for few altcoin projects for some minutes and talk about one particular use case in crypto space today that hardly goes wrong unless the team have bad intent from scratch, that's Exchange Platform, most new exchanges are 99% bad but I will like to give a try, I'm looking or seeking for a fresh new exchange token that I can invest little money on, I think it's worth the risk after seeing how successful some people turned after investing in the follow exchanges

1. Binance (BNB Token)
2. OKEX  (OKB token)
3. Huobi token

Once upon a time these exchange tokens are dirty cheap and look how amazing they are today, now if you don't mind please fill me with some information

I will love to invest in Binance Token (BNB) because I have really studied it for some time now and I can see it's a good token to spend money on. Moreover Binance is the best exchange for now.  Furthermore, I also want to invest in Probit token and stake it so that I can earn interest on my staking
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: August 05, 2020, 08:45:57 AM
Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.

Though there is a kind of rest of mind or assurance when you see a project announced by an high ranked forum member, with the thinking that, they are experienced and must have found necessary information about the project and certified it good before delivering it to the community.  But at times, it is not the fault of the bounty manager when a project failed to deliver, they can only try their best, they are not the owner or the controller of the project.  All the same, projects announced by a legendary still get some assurance than those announced by newbie or Jr member.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Brave browser reaches 16.7 million monthly active users. on: August 05, 2020, 08:16:23 AM
Brave recently released their MAU statistics which has reached a rather impressive 16.7M: https://mobile.twitter.com/BrendanEich/status/1290312177182621696?s=19

It's a subject of debate, but Brave which uses BAT as it's token, is somewhat of a 'sleeping giant'. Personally, I can see Brave being very popular with millennials and Gen Z, particularly with gamers as the browser could potentially be used as a way to pay for gaming memberships with BAT. I'm also looking forward to their ad platform which is due to be released and other applications in the works.

That's a very good thing to hear.  I know Brave browser is very popular because of the potential to earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) and some gaming activities.  I once used the browser sometimes ago, but uninstall it because my phone was malfunctioning. I love the app and will get it back.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: August 04, 2020, 10:58:31 AM
Ratings are much dependent on the the one rating at times.  Personally I don't depend on many of these ratings because it's only few of them that are reliable to some extent. I rather look out for some information on any project I intend to invest in.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: August 04, 2020, 10:40:21 AM
Definitely altcoins are not getting boycotted.  I was asking myself why is the price of only BTC and ETH are skyrocketing at the expense of other altcoins.  Then it was done on me that investors are actually selling other altcoins they have gotten in order to buy either BTC or ETH, that's probable reasons why the price of other altcoins are dropping.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunting tips for newbie in joining bounty campaign. on: August 03, 2020, 01:05:57 PM
Most of the project nowadays are fraud or scam if I am not wrong. Others may not agree with because they earn that much. Yes, there are really few good project to join with and this is why there things you need to consider. Here are my few cents of things I know in bounty hunting.

1. Join a bounty project promoted by reputable bounty managers here. You can try to search a thread here in the forum for them and there are quite few results of them in a list form.
2. Do not be greedy and put too much trust on the project. If you can earn then good if not then let it be. As long as you get a reward then that would do already. If you try to join all of the bounty in that project then it will be a load of work and if ain't pay you then that is really a waste of time and resources.
3. If the team offering the bounty hunters to pay a small amount for the bounty hunters to process the rewards then pretty sure they are scam. They just trying to scam even the bounty hunters.
4. Join an organized group or team handling bounty projects scrutinizing the project before accepting will likely to be legit.
5. You can search google for incoming good projects but some of these projects are not offer here in bct instead they just use other platforms to promote the project. However some offer the project has offer it here in BCT so it will be a  good chance to join that kind of project.

Then do not forget the rules and regulations of bitcointalk forum. Plagirism is the most reason getting ban in this forum. You would not likely to get ban especiay if you get ank up already. Many here likes to report and investigate copy and paste post.

It's just somehow hard to get good paying bounties nowadays, that's why if it is only one or two projects someone will promote per month, it must be good ones.  In addition to above hints and others by those that have commented.  Try and study if the idea or concept of the project is achievable, some projects do give white papers full of ideas similar to building castle in the air.  Also, be careful of projects that promises heaven and earth as reward; you know what I mean by that, because at the end of the day, you might not likely to get anything.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 03, 2020, 12:40:29 PM

What if, for example - like after that twitter hack - the President wakes up (in a bad mood) and decides with an executive order to make all crypto illegal in the USA?

Of course this probably will never happen in today's world, as the there is big money is invested into crypto currencies; but do you ever think that it is even remotely possible...

Or the next elected president is so "old school" and decides that crypto needs to go?

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?

There is nothing to fear again about that one.  In the first instance, crypto has never been declared legal before in my country and we have many adopters of crypto.  There was a time my country's government declared that individual phones should be checked by security personnel and anyone with crypto related documents should be arrested, still people were not discouraged.  No matter what my country's government does, I cannot be discouraged or worried.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still sleeping? on: August 01, 2020, 09:23:33 AM
The title sound funny right. It is not news that the crypto market is booming now, I hope you are already putting every necessary things in place to maximize the state of the market now and the state to come. If you are yet to start investing in one or two promising project by now, it means you are still sleeping. Wake up and do something. I have seen a lot of post complaining about how they missed out of 2017, are you sure you are not going to miss out of this? Hmmmm.

Sincerely, this is the same thought that was done on me some days ago now.  This is just an investment opportunity, which we must make use of now.  However, we need to be very careful.  That we want to invest doesn't mean we could just choose any useless project.  Let's trade with adequate research and caution. Wishing everyone a profitable trading.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down on: July 31, 2020, 03:42:12 PM
I notice that when there the price is going up so many people are joining the train and they also buy because the price is going up and they are going to make a profit, why people are not buying when it is down when the price will eventually go up and they can make a lot of profit.  Huh

Trading (buying and selling) is an everyday thing.  There is no time buying and selling cannot take place in crypto, it all depend on your purpose and when you have the financial ability to invest.  Apart from that, some think that, bull run is on the way, that could probably one of the reasons why behind their investment.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pump DeFi projects are on fire! on: July 31, 2020, 03:14:44 PM
We saw bitcoin surpassed the $11,000 level and saw a massive moonshot of DeFi projects. I hope you guys diversify your portfolio to some defi projects to earn a passive income while waiting for the bull market.

As popular as DeFi projects are nowadays, I still want to advice that you invest with cautious, it's not all of them that are actually good.  I think DeFi projects are being surrounded with a lot of hypes for now, some of them cannot still be trusted. As you are eager to make some quick profit from DeFi, remember to trade with caution!
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Become Universal Money? on: July 30, 2020, 03:17:08 PM
It is possible that  someday all country accept Crypto Currency and it will become Universal Money?

There is absolutely nothing that is impossible in life, that is what science and technology believe.  It may not be possible now but it might be in the future.  There have been different eras of means of exchange from time immemorial of different countries; started from trade by barter, to cowries, to goldsmith issued coin and so on, so there is possibility that crypto becomes universal means of exchange.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: July 29, 2020, 07:07:10 PM
Hi guys

I believe that the recent movement by Ethereum is good , because it shows the strength even though the 2.0 launch was delayed. If you missed out on buying when it was $133 ( in Jan ) its not too late - its still a great investment in my view. Obviously there will be other altcoins that COULD have a much bigger return from now , but also with much higher risk. I made a more detailed video of my thoughts here : https://youtu.be/gencUwUpwrM

In crypto trading, one of the slogans I have got to understand is that "you can neither sell/buy too low nor buy/sell too high".  If someone invest in ETH now, we never can tell if the price will reach $500 in the coming days, so it's not too early or late to invest in Cryptos.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi here Defi There post your favorite Defi reviews on: July 29, 2020, 07:01:43 PM
For you not to fall on DeFi traps you should know the general concept on how these Defis  works, are their goals in general and what are their purpose including red flags on these Defi's
This is a good resource to find anything and everything about Defi's you can add your here

https://defirate.com/projects/

https://101blockchains.com/top-defi-projects/

https://defi.dapp.review/

Very well said.  Decentralized Finance Projects are really getting lots of attention in the space now.  As we have good ones among them, so we have bad ones.  We need to be careful not to be swept away by waves of the hypes.  Scammers can even use this opportunity of the hype to create their own DeFi.  At least as of now, one of the good DeFis I can highly recommend is Oikos cash.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: July 28, 2020, 02:33:49 PM
Selling off is complicated i must say, and if we are being realistic; there is no faulting anyone that picks up profits in this time.
Because during the last deep dip when bitcoin went to 3700$, those who bought and invested are now in over 100% profits; if they decide to sell off the profit and hodl the initials, do you think it is because of the period ?

There are several reasons why profits are taken; and sometimes when we sell in loss; there are potential valid reasons too.

Yeah...period to sell off for individual at times might not primarily depend on the market situation on ground.  Some sell off not at their best desire but they needed to get some things done with money, so they don't have another choice and some don't really stand on having much profit before selling off, they believe in making little profit and sell it to reinvest.  There are just lots of things that surrounds selling off.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Firms Collaborate With Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Yuan on: July 28, 2020, 02:07:59 PM
Well, it's a good news actually.  We just want to hope it becomes reality because numerous similar news like this we have read and heard and at the end of the day, it remains at the level of the news.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Investors Rejoice As Bitcoin Price Surges Above $10,000 on: July 27, 2020, 03:40:58 PM
What's there to rejoice about? What about those who invested when Bitcoin was at 19000$ in 2017? It's not time to start rejoicing yet, right now we need better an stronger market support, DeFi success I believe is at work here, new money flow into crypto through DeFi, I'm hoping more will come

Well that is life for you friend, everybody cannot rejoice at the same time.  At least it's something to rejoice for those that invested when BTC was $3700 or thereabout.  Yes, we also hope for improved market so that others can also rejoice but we could only hope for bull run
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: .:: I have 11 ETH transactions stuck ! ::. on: July 27, 2020, 03:09:19 PM
Hello guys, I have 11 etherium transactions stuck for over one week !

I'm the receiver, not the sender

so what can i do to push this or get my money ?? I feel that I won't get them and they will keep stuck forever

estimated confirmation time always change never done at the estimated time, no single confirmation for 11 transactions !

he used Gas Price:
0.000000025 Ether (25 Gwei)

for all transactions

Please advice

With the look of things, I don't think the transaction can be successful because of that ridiculous gas price.  ETH transactions is very high now, let alone using this little amount of ether to send such an amount of ETH.  The gas setting would have probably been done by the sender theirself.  If there is no auto reversal for some time, you can contact ethereum support centre.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: July 24, 2020, 09:10:09 PM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

At least $1.5k is a good amount to invest.  My candid advice is just that, don't use the whole amount to invest on only one project, try and spread your risk across more than one.  You are also advised to invest in top 10 coins on cmc, like btc, ETH, xrp, xlm...at least for a start and you can do this relatively when market is red.
