81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New normal world will make crypto better on: August 22, 2020, 11:20:28 AM
Popular Cryptos are doing better than traditional investment. Whole crypto market is doing improvement during covid pandemic where traditional businesses are suffering a lot. So large companies, banks found crypto as better field of investment and thereby most of the giants have separate arms to handle crypto assets. They are adding cryptos mainly btc, eth, defi into investment portfolio. Good days are coming if we survive through Covid19

This is a welcome development honestly.  I think the outbreak of this virus, though very pathetic, gave some unusual attention and popularity to the Cryptos.  Because cryptos trading do not involve physical contact, but block chain based, this has given it upper hand over some physical establishment whose workers were forced to stay at home.  This in turn has opened the eyes of many to the undisturbed potential in the crypto industry.  We are very much optimistic for a better adoption.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the deal with OmiseGo? on: August 22, 2020, 07:41:23 AM
Omisego is really making lots of waves now.  I once invested in it in 2017. Sold some amount in 2019.  However, it's unfortunate that I have sold all when I was in urgent financial need.  OMG is a good project to invest in.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will Grow? on: August 22, 2020, 07:37:12 AM
Hey.

I researched very much in the net. I read numerous comments in the blogs. I saw to much messages in the telegram groups. and discord forums

and I found that most of the people really don't know why they chose their coin/token. just they know their coin is good and the future is belongs to them.

The Question Is: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will grow? (based on what?)

That is why you need to choose your coin and/or token very carefully.  For example if you choose from the top coins that already have use case, for example ETH or XLM, the sure thing is that, even if the price fall, it will still rise or grow back because these projects have already been established and many institutions are based on their block chain.  Unlike choosing the dead or some new incoming projects that you don't really know much about.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: August 20, 2020, 11:07:24 AM
as a project investor you must be wiser before investing in a project and will never open your wallet for any project without thinking about it 10 times or even 20 times. At that time or precisely in 2017, almost all ICOs were seen as potentially profitable companies and people assumed that there would never be an end to the boom that occurred in the entire cryptocurrency market. And then reality struck.

Today, the landscape has changed a lot and those who are burning leave the market completely or they continue but with a different mindset emerging from an unforgettable and sometimes regrettable experience. Investors demand more information and they want to be given real facts only because of the inclusion of the IEO project in a leading exchange. In 2019, it might be rather difficult to distinguish trends in knowing which types of projects might be a big success because there are many factors that need to be considered, but we hope that above all investors are more mature, more demanding and more discriminatory. Once again consider before investing in a project and don't give bait to the scamers out there!

One thing that is inevitable in life is 'change'. In the era of 2017 where even shit projects attract investors, those times are gone.  Many investors then have lost a lot of capital and many have gone out of business completely.  Nowadays, you have to look very well before you leap.  Investing now takes a lot of findings and cautions.  No matter how excellent your idea or concept on any project is, investors are just so afraid to invest.  Now it's the era of DeFi projects, all the same scammers have also entered the DeFis now.  Always remember to trade with caution!!!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: August 20, 2020, 11:00:55 AM
I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.
My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?

I think the era of deflationary tokens have gone.  We thought these tokens will actually bring lots of revolutions to the crypto industry especially, in the area of limited supply and burning of tokens on every transaction.  But the concept didn't really make it.  I still have some of them in my wallet now that as good as dead.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull run is coming? on: August 19, 2020, 03:30:06 PM
According to Binance CEO - CZ, activity on Binance exchange is higher than in December 2017. According to PlanB that created stock-to-flow model, the bull run is here, his claim is based on the value of RSI that is currently on 64 points. And the last positive claim comes from Goldstein that said that Bitcoin already has value more than $100,000 because there are statistically more people that will hold BTC to this level.  Wink

This is pleasant to here.  I think most of us have been expecting this.  The usual expectations from history of bull run is that, after the halving have taken place, either that year of halving or following year comes the bull run, and that was what happens in 2017.  Likewise, we are probably expecting bull run towards the end of this year or 2021.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency is all about Hodling. on: August 18, 2020, 07:45:18 PM
The truth about crypto currency is that it is more about hodling, technically, crypto is hodling.
Most people that has been able to take profit from crypto currency trade or investment are those that have mastered the act of hodling.

Knowing when to hodl, when not to hodl is an important skill you need.

I go with the last line of your post.  However, making it in the crypto space is not about holding alone.  There are some investors that only deal with daily trading.  They study the market, envisage an increase in the price.  They invest in large quantity and at the end of that day, they are able to rake in some thousands of dollars.  At times you can hold and lose everything.  The important thing is the last part of the post.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: August 17, 2020, 05:00:43 PM
If you visit some crypto forum you will see so many upcoming cryptocurrency projects coming into the industry but sometimes I begin to wonder what is their purpose of bringing in New crypto project knowing well that some of them have wrong motion of the project they are bringing, I have participated in so many of them last year but I have not hear from them again some are abandoned on the proccess with a lot of promises they come with just to gain your interest. What do you think?

That is how new projects will continue to come onboard.  Some are scam related while some are improvement on the dead or existing projects.  Some other new projects are also with novel ideals, with lots of sense if developed.  We can't stop the incoming of the new projects but we can carefully select which one to promote or invest in.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very excited at the moment. on: August 17, 2020, 04:29:41 PM
After much speculation the value of bitcoin has been $12,000. Bitcoin is currently priced at $12,000. Bitcoin has actually been able to show that bitcoin is the king of the crypto world. As the price of bitcoin has risen, so have the prices of other cryptocurrencies. Ethereum, Litecoin etc coin prices have risen. What is going to happen in the market. What do you think about all this cryptocurrency? Let's discuss in detail.

Bitcoin has been enjoying some price increase since the halving period, contrary to the decrease in price speculation.  The advent of new ethereum blockchain also contributed to its price  increase.  I guess investors have sold many of their other altcoins to invest in BTC and ETH.  Price of other altcoins will also improve with time.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So every dead project that adding "DeFi" to its name, pumping 100000% ? on: August 16, 2020, 01:50:50 PM
What the hell?

every dead project, with no development team that add's defi to his name, get a 100000% pump?

That's the Defi Hype season?

Lol...that's funny though.  It seems dead projects want to be hiding under the hype and boom the defi projects are experiencing now.  I think we need to be wise and look carefully before choosing some of these defi projects so that we won't fall victim of scammers.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can enjoy crypto currency on: August 16, 2020, 01:29:07 PM
To enjoy crypto currency trading, you need to have a good inflow of cash. Because as a trader, the fastest route to profit is trading with huge capitals.
Advantage of small capital: With small capital, you get to practice alot, you get to learn and not feel at loss, but you cannot be a million over night.
Advantage of big capital. With huge capital, you can become a millionaire overnight if you trade right, with well skilled knowledge, but also you can become very rekt too.

This is why you need consistency in knowledge, patience and emotional balance.

Yes you're correct.  Investing with huge capital brings in much more profit than little capital, though it could also be in another negative side.  Recently I planned investing in ETH with just $200, I now sat down and think that even if one ETH is sold for $500, that time it was close to $300/ETH then, the profit on my investment will be negligible, compare to someone that invest like $50,000
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If someone mistakenly sent you 1 ETH, what would you do? on: August 16, 2020, 01:14:42 PM
Ethereum is becoming extremely popular nowadays with the rise of "De-Fi" apps and stablecoins. Most people are just into it in order to make a lot of money in the shortest time possible. Since they're newcomers into crypto, they can easily make mistakes when sending coins from one address to another. Now, imagine if you check your wallet and it has 1 ETH sent to you by a mysterious address. At current rates, that would be an average of $400 (USD) in your pocket.

What will you do if someone accidentally or mistakenly sent you 1 ETH? Will you donate it to a charity? Will you send it back to its original owner? If it were me, I'd return it back to its original owner as long as he/she is able to provide a signed message with the address' private key proving the coin's ownership. But since crypto is widely unregulated, anyone can do as they please.

Thoughts? Huh

Well, for me I would rather return it, provided the ownership can be proved as you have rightly said.  I don't have interest in taking what another has acquired with sweat.  Anybody can make mistake whether accidental or thereabout and we should know that what goes around also comes around.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 13, 2020, 06:34:41 AM
Both of them have a lot of dapps and they could both go to the sky.
Vitalik and Justin work hard to make their coins better too so i am not sure which one could be better in the future. What do You think about this ?

Well, I will go for ETH, or better still I have already gone for ETH, lol... Because the use case of ETH has far outweighed that of TRX and the development has gotten lots of attention. However, I love the low transaction fees on Tronix blockchain more than that of ETH, but notwithstanding, my investment has been in ETH.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zero Transaction Fees: What's the catch? on: August 13, 2020, 06:23:39 AM
I've been enjoying cryptocurrencies with zero transaction fees like Nano and EOS, as they prove to be economically feasible for cross-border payments. While their level of adoption is not as comparable as Bitcoin or Ethereum, they're still a great option for digital payments. Zero fees and near-instant transaction confirmation times, seem to be the way of the future. Or is it? I mean, what's the catch with cryptocurrencies that don't charge fees to their users? Will they be able to survive for a very long time? Or will they turn into an idea that will fade into oblivion?

Whatever the case may be, cryptocurrencies with zero fees could eventually replace DASH or Bitcoin Cash's place as "digital cash". This greatly contributes towards the adoption of crypto and Blockchain technology in general. The only limitation would be price volatility. But imagine a stablecoin built on a Blockchain network with zero fees. It will be completely revolutionary, in my own opinion. Thoughts Huh

Well I still don't know where they actually get their maintenance fees since they are not charging transaction fees?  But let's see it this way, in the case of EOS, you can't just get their wallet for free, there is a particular charge accruing to that, may be that's part of the area they cover up for their non-transaction fees charges.  Whichever way, it's a nice thing and I hope they get more adoptions like ETH and BTC.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (DEFI) YAM! YAM! YAM! a scam? on: August 13, 2020, 06:15:35 AM
Honestly I'm not really surprised about this.  I know the pumping of DeDi projects prices recently will definitely attract lots of scam projects too, that's why we need to be conscious of the type we will put our investment in.  Have been able able to identity couples of these scam defi projects and I'm still doing that. We can't be too careful when it comes to investment, don't be totally carried away with the many hypes on DeFis.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 11, 2020, 07:14:18 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?

Success of crypto projects do not depend on names.  Names are just means of identification and also to give a glance of the area the project is focusing on.  One of the most important things is utility.  What problem does the project aim to solve? How realisable is their plans and so on? These and many more are more important than just names.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new drama has started in Altcoin on: August 11, 2020, 06:58:58 PM
AS for many days, the crypto market is now in good conduction as compare from the last three to four months. But now a new thing in coming to altcoin, that the prices of all altcoins are fluctuating very badly and not able to stable in a single position for at least an hour. So, what should we do in this dramatic conduction of altcoin?

The market force is natural, we don't really have control over it since there are transactions on every seconds.  Lots of investors are probably selling off their altcoins except ETH in order to invest in BTC and ETH whose price is skyrocketing.  This is one of the causes of the price instability for other altcoins I guess.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Compare Withdrawal Fees before you trade on a Exchange on: August 10, 2020, 07:11:36 PM
Today I came across a page by chance where you can compare how much exchanges charge for withdrawal for a certain coin. This is really helpful because especially small and medium coins have partly really high withdrawal fees which you usually only find out when you are about to request a withdrawal and then have no choice but to accept it.

In my case I wanted to know where the cheapest place to trade and withdraw OCEAN token is. The comparison showed me four exchanges, where the cheapest one charges just $0.42 (1 OCEAN token) and the most expensive one $4 (9.5 OCEAN tokens). What an immense difference.

Check out https://withdrawalfees.com

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the service. I just found it by chance and find it super helpful.

This is quite really fantastic findings I must say.  Times in the past, I have both spent and wasted lots of gas fees on meagre transactions.  Since then I have been trying to look out for exchange where I can trade conveniently with minimal gas fees, especially if the coin I want to trade is listed on more than one exchanges. I tried to find the exchange with most favourable trading price as well as low trading fees, but I've not really come across a site that will do multilateral comparison.  This is good and I will definitely check it out.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most of The DEFI coins are 50% up in last 7days!! on: August 10, 2020, 06:59:41 PM
I was checking the Defi coins list on Coingecko. I saw that most of the Defi coins got a huge boost in last 7 days.  Maximum of those are already 50%+ up in the last 7 days. Is it because Bitcoin becomes stable in a new price range?
Or there is any other reason behind it?
What your thoughts about this?

Check the list here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/defi

The DeFi projects are actually enjoying price boost recently and this could probably due to increase in the interest of the investors in the decentralized financial crypto projects because of the tendency to make quick profit from it.  Well, we hope this price increase will be maintained for a while, especially that of our very own OKS...lol.

Russia’s Biggest Bank Considers Launching Its Own Stablecoin

Quote
Shortly after Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, signed the country’s recent cryptocurrency law, the country’s largest bank voiced its considerations.

Sberbank, a state-owned company and the largest bank in Russia, is considering the possibility of issuing its own token, according to its key executives.

Sergey Popov, director of the transaction business at Sberbank, says that Russia’s banking giant is thinking of issuing its own stablecoin that could be pegged one-to-one to the Russian ruble, local news agency Kommersant reported on Tuesday.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/russias-biggest-bank-hypothesizes-its-crypto-token

I still in the grey area as far as Russia is concern, but with all the central banks around the world creating their own stable coins, perhaps Sberbank thinks is the best move for them to join the bandwagon. So it will be a Stablecoin (what else), I don't know what will be the impact as others are still in the experimental phase and we haven't heard any success on a crypto back up by government. So let's wait and see.

It's going to be a welcome development if this is implemented or come true.  At least it will also give some boost to more crypto adoption.  But my concern is that, this will not remain just at the level of news alone but a reality. As you have rightly said, let's wait and see.
