1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: May 21, 2013, 01:30:47 AM
hash rate at 3.46Gh/s, many people jumped on bandwagon probably because of the profitability.
Absolutely for sure, but we knew it was going to happen the second WDC got listed on an exchange so the profitability comparison sites could finally publish a figure for it.

What I am looking forward to seeing is when the difficulty gets over 100 and people start to churn mining something new and shiny, how the WDC difficulty reset handles the drop in hash rate. Do we end up with another FTC/CNC basket case, or does WDC handle it gracefully?

Difficulty retargets based on time, instead of blocks, so, it should retarget better then FTC, because it's not reliant on the number of people mining it
1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW] [WDC] Pool! on: May 21, 2013, 01:29:05 AM
id love to add hash, but i cant find the wallet for mac... Sad is there an online one anywhere?

You could always send you WDC directly to mcxNow, or BTER
1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CNC - What would it take to fall off BTC-e? on: May 21, 2013, 01:27:04 AM
Now this isn't about CNC specifically.
It's just an example of an alt coin that has absolutely no community support, no dev and no speculative future.. but yet remains on an exchange.

So two scenarios:
1.
An exchange can leave an alt coin on their site forever.
It gets pumped/dumped between .0005 - .0015 until the end of time.
Yet too many coins clutter their site and make them look greedy and unprofessional.

2.
I haven't seen a second scenario yet since I am unaware of any alt coin that has been removed from a bigger exchange such as BTC-e.

Please enlighten me; your thoughts?

They have no reason to remove it, tbh. It's not costing them anything to keep it on there, and as long as people continue to trade it, they continue to make $$ off the fees they charge. If people stopped trading it, then they would probably remove it
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co || Instant | Stable | Reliable || LAUNCHED on: May 21, 2013, 01:18:06 AM

If you do a bit of research, lowering the diff of shares in a P2Pool, doesn't do anything. Your mining client will show you sending shares, but the pool will automatically ignore shares, lower then the diff level it's looking for.
Trust me, you need a real pool, or your coin will stagnate.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co || Instant | Stable | Reliable || LAUNCHED on: May 21, 2013, 01:15:16 AM
baritus 16 hours in and there isn't any decent pool yet, this is a big problem.
p2pool is working bad (not paying shares), german pool is overloaded

P2Pool, is only good as an early measure, until a stable, actual pool is in place. Once diff starts to rise, small miners, stop getting shares fast enough, and stop getting paid. FC2, had the same problem.

hydroponica, the block time needs to be long enough so that everyone in the network can get notified of new blocks. if the block time isn't long enough, then nodes will start to have inconsistent views of the blockchain

An upcoming problem, that has been predicted for WDC. Has Digicoin taken this into account, and if so, what has been done to mitigate this?

*Edit* not trolling, btw, this is an honest question.

ehm, this has been answered already many times, search it.
and good luck with wdc diff 8 sub .001 ahahaha

The diff is time based, so, if people network hashrate drops, difficulty will drop. I'm not concerned about that yet.
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Same calculations with all other alt coins? on: May 21, 2013, 01:00:41 AM
https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc

Would work for all other altcoins for probabilities of finding a solo block?

Sure. Just change the difficulty, to match the coin your mining

I saw someone mention an upcoming blockchain problem with WDC. Anyone know any details on that?
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTS 25k RYC only 250L TOTAL on: May 21, 2013, 12:40:13 AM
You know, RYC is only worth like, .000001 BTC, or something stupid like that Roll Eyes
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][Stratum]worldcoinpool.com - 0% fee on: May 21, 2013, 12:39:10 AM
Hmm.

I am only seeing about 60% payout vs the estimate based on hashrate. Kinda sucks. Anyone else experiencing this?

PPLNS, takes time to ramp up to full earning...Kind of redundant, considering the 15 sec block rate...but what can you do
1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][WDC][Stratum]worldcoinpool.com - 0% fee on: May 21, 2013, 12:37:59 AM
glad to hear it All of Vern's pools are great. I think he has 9 or 10 now and of course his Cryptsy.com exchange project.

I do love his pools...His exchange, not so much. Just seems like a trading place for RYC...If it could build up some BTC volume, it might work out, but right now, just too many fees involved, in switching around exchanges
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / World Coin Confusion on: May 21, 2013, 12:31:33 AM
So, um, if it has already been proven that people are willing to pay a certain price, than why sell for less than that? And if there's a sell order for .03 WDC, why the hell would you bother undercutting that?
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 21, 2013, 12:10:59 AM
Fixed.  Sorry about that (my fault).

1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WorldCoin is a SCAM -- Pre MINED to the EXTREME ** Virus Detected in Client on: May 20, 2013, 11:58:33 PM
This is getting old... people claim virus with no proof, seems to happen with every coin so far.

He's just doing this, because of the threads trashing his precious GLD coin
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help. on: May 20, 2013, 11:57:45 PM
Probably need to use a different port?
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling 30 WDCs for 1.5 LTCs on: May 20, 2013, 11:56:45 PM
Seriously, is everybody at the exchanges?

Probably. Why wouldn't you just sell there?
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WorldCoin is a SCAM -- Pre MINED to the EXTREME ** Virus Detected in Client on: May 20, 2013, 11:56:00 PM
be careful folks, my coins were stolen!..

1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DGC Google Docs Exchange for ALL Currencies on: May 20, 2013, 11:52:02 PM
WTS 8k @ 1.5 BTC per 1k

Are you on glue?

You are not interested in this coin (based on your previous posts) then WTF are you doing here? Looks like little girl is scared that DGC will dilute her WDC??

I monitor prices and values of all Crypto Currencies. Really? So, you think 1.5 BTC per 1K, is a good price?
