Well I am not taking any big risk here, I collect all I can, but when you think about it a lot of people thought BTC was a joke, LTC, CNC, FTC, well people are making money off of them, I can vouch, I made quite a bit off these coins people thought were "junk". this is very true. when I saw litecoin last year I thought it was a joke. People in Bitcoin community also thought it was joke, but look at what it is now. Same things being seen in many other area: semiconductor, hard-drive, dot-com, now social media. The alt coins are still in the hype phase, of course I am pretty certain, at some point it will fall, but who cares. People ride the waves, and when it collapse, they will just find another one to hype.

It looks like you are not saying different than what I said. The issue is not junkcoin. The owner created it with this name to buy his car? you got to be kidding! Look at what other alt coins did, FTC, CNC, BBQ, or all the other garbages there, you don't blame them?? This junkcoin looks to me is one of the honest coins in the alt coin family! If people wish all these garbages to die, I am with them. But if they just want the junkcoin to die, in hope to eliminate "competitions" and pushing other junk alt coins, then it is complete crap.
More and more junkcoins come out, will eventually eliminate this insane hype in the alt coin space.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What will be the next alt coin?

A week ago, most messages here are about FTC, now that FTC suddenly disappeared, probably because it trades now in BTC-E, so no one cares about it here anymore. Now the messages become CNC, JKC, BTB, or who know what coins. What will be the next alt coins? If BTC-E accepts all these coins, it will soon become more crowded than NASDAQ, this may actually reflects the new type of economy - create nothing from nothing
