The team is not interested in launching a "coin" so you can quickly profit. They are interested in launching a "product". A product that can be used by the masses. I for one am extremely excited about that! What coin in your portfolio has a use case right out of the gate?
Oh really? And you are not concerned by the fact that crypto is a field that is developing really fast? The use-case of the product is still nice, but a couple months down the road, it will be an "also ran", competitors are shaping up to conquer the field (not least: DASH).

Crypto Bridge is a decentralize exange... is it safe to let the coins there?
What can happen if the exange goes shut down but I still have the cryptobridge private keys ?
It's much harder to shut down a decentralized exchange, I wouldn't worry about it. A DEX is basically a P2P network like Bittorrent or Bitcoin - you would need to shut down the whole Bitshares network to strangle Cryptobridge. And most likely that would be the end of most crypto-coins if it can be shown that shutting down one blockchain is easy. Personally, I try to use Cryptobridge or IDEX or other DEX wherever possible and feel way more comfortable leaving the coins in my DEX-wallet.

Personally, I think the devs are doing a really bad job and have gone into hiding.
If your coins are on the wrong chain in an exchange, this is a high-priority task to fix it. People might not be aware of this thread and buy on Yobit - or, if it ever comes back, on coinsmarkets which might also be on the wrong chain - and see their coins simply vanish once the chains merge.
After the hard-fork disaster, I am not sure I still will keep my coins, even if they are on the right chain. My trust in the developers is shattered, I must say.

Thanks for posting, @KarmaShart. However, we are neither faithful nor patient at this point, we (or better: our coins) are simply held hostage by you. And it's not so much the delay that is frustrating, it's the complete lack of any substantial updates.
- what tasks are you working on - how many devs are actually working - is there any members to the Helium Alliance except the team - does aligning with a DASH fork in April mean we'll see a release in May at the earliest
Answers to this would hurt none of your NDA's or endanger the project in any way. Simply withdrawing from BCT because people get angry is the surest way to make the situation worse - I'd rather not unload on you in Slack, so I realistically cannot join there.
I am a developer in agile projects and you are violating the rules of agile development in the worst way possible - going radio silent, not checking in with customer's needs, hiding WiP, not showing PoC's and prototypes.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy COSS
|
on: January 15, 2018, 03:09:25 PM

One month ago, COSS was at $0.15, now it is at $1.6 - has COSS (the exchange) now 10x the volume? No, they don't.
If the bull market continues and COSS is able to grow 10x or more, the current price might be good, but what happens if we are in for another 2 years of a bear market? The token might go back to < $1, or the exchange might even go bust.
Personally, I think all exchange tokens are way overvalued right now, including COSS. CEFS seems to me the best of the bunch, because Cryptopia has been around for years, is growing steadily and they are based in New Zealand, not China.

But I am no lier, or deliberate fud agent. So I have returned to report I have sources in the industry (from which I work in ) that this coin is being developed.
Halleluja, if that is true. Still, considering how it is developed, I can imagine how it is advertized later. Or not at all. I want to fucking dump this, there are so many masternode-coins with high ROI now, HLM is too little, too late. Oh look, another DASH clone...

So, when will this PoS trade so I can dump it before the price falls through the floor?
I bet it will be release exactly right for the next alt-coin winter and a year-long bear market in crypto. It's not like crypto is the field with the most explosive development, or something. A quarter makes all the difference between being early and having your lunch eaten by the competition - XRP of all coins is now moving into the enterprise payment market. BTC is getting its lvl2-scaling solution soon, as will ETH - good luck competing. Privacy coins pop up left and right and with ZCash, one big privacy masternode coin is already there.
In such an environment, perfectionism kills you.

Do you need someone to call you? How would u be aware unless you looked at their news. SPREADS announced a new secure node and swap system that will bring revenues and have multiple coins listed per wallet. Amazing they didn’t call you and tell you this. It prob will go back to 1$+
That was in 2016.

CMC needs to fix their incorrect data on BTX , period, there are other forks that are counting the coins as they should. There is a Token called XNN and they have done airdrop and all their coins are counted as in circulation. There is absolutely no need for CMC to be holding back BTX unless they have an agenda to keep BTX down because they know adding correct amount of coins in circulation will sky rocket BTX to the top 25 and and A LOT more people will take notice and BTX will be in direct competition with BTG and BCH (ScamCash). I really do think this is the reason why they have not fixed it all this time. They say they are waiting on the devs, but yet the devs have given CMC all the information they need.
Come on, that's getting out of hand here. Why would CMC have an agenda against BTX?

Hey guys what news on Sonohub? I tried to accumulate some more ALTCOM during this great dip, holding well now dunno know if there will be more dips. Anyway sonohub was what drew me to this coin, sounded pretty cool
I am still waiting - the downtrend has not yet been broken and currently, other coins get all the spotlight. It is still rather expensive at $2.40 - I think it will find a bottom around $1.50 and $2. There's buying too late and buying too early- I was too soon and happy I got out before losses got too big. I am sure that the way back up will take some time - even once Sonohub is announced, it will take time till word gets around. And the mn feature needs to be implemented as well. So, there's no reason for despair, but I would not say it's a great buying opportunity right now - both fundamental and technical analysis does not point to the coin having found a bottom yet.

Can someone explain this to me. How can the blockchain be ' high-performance' when it's written in Java ? Isn't that a contradiction ? If someone told me it's written in C, i might believe them when they claim high performance. Or what is high-performance when not the code? Someone care to elaborate ?
On modern systems, there's hardly a big performance difference between C++ and Java. Java gobbles a lot of RAM, but due to its JIT, it can optimize speed.
