Im having the same trouble but i gave up about a week ago to focus on bigger and better things like NXT. Im fairly confident that it has to do with the amount of nodes. I only have these ones myself. Im about to hunt for some more, ill make sure to post them whenever i get around to it. Juggling a lot right this moment.
addnode=199.71.215.196 addnode=103.28.44.181
EDIT: After running for a few hours, i synced up with just having those two in my config, you will find more as you wait.
Although with all the feedback on this, i doubt i will take time to mine this.

Yeah CGminer doesn't support quark algorithm coins
Sorry to be a pain, but can you point me in the direction of a decent miner that supports quark? Please and thank you!

Join the 300MH/s and counting Pool 1% fee and 100% working http://altcryptomining.comPort 8112. minerd -a quark -o p2pool.altcryptomining.com:8112 -u (yout btq wallet address) -p (anything you like) -note due to the hitches with the initial launch there is a 120 confirmation requirement. Just be patient. The coins will be confirmed in your wallet. Im trying to mine using cgminer, but obviously cgminer wont recognize "-a quark" so im attempting to use the command below. cgminer --scrypt -o p2pool.altcryptomining.com:8112 -u <my btq address> -p pass (and more options specific to my GPU) It does mine, but im getting thousands of HW errors within seconds. Does anyone have experience using cgminer with a p2pool? If need be, i will give minerd a shot but id prefer sticking with good old cgminer 3.7.2.

Thanks for the reply BitQuark! I had a feeling it was just bad luck. Guess ill try my hand at pool mining, seeing as how the difficulty doubled last night.

So this has been my first ever chance to solo mine a coin. Last night i was mining with 309 kh/sec and everything was configured correctly. In the off chance that i did get a share that was above the solo mining difficulty, it would get rejected. I wish i took a screenshot.. I did find this image online, and this correctly displays what i was going through. Third line from the bottom. Rejected <blocknumber> Diff <sharediff> Block! GPU 0 What does it take to make the the shares you hash with a high enough difficulty to become accepted?

This is from the faq on the wiki. Do I have to leave the client open in order to forge coins? No. Once your server is running, simply leave your account "unlocked", and then you can close your web browser. How do i visually know that my account will stay unlocked? The server window doesnt show any information that had anything to do with accounts? Probably for security reasons, but id like some way of knowing that forging is going on in the background. I am still waiting for 1440 confirmations, and that brings up another question. That should take about two days right? In the local view of my transactions it shows the 10+ next to confirmations (i realize that it will show this as the confirmations continue to grow) and after two days it should hit about 1440. The thing i dont understand is the blockchain explorer, it only shows 4 confirmations for the transaction and its been a day and a half. What does that mean?

Are we stuck on block 69524 or is my server just not working correctly?

Im interested, but im a little cautious as the website displays no contact details or information about who is running it. Ill hold off on investing, but for the sake of everyone else im hoping this is legitimate.

Im new to dogecoin and after pool mining for a day i was very confused about share difficulty vs network difficulty. My accepted shares were much higher than the network difficulty of 1.7K yet i hadnt found any blocks for the pool. So i figured i would try an hour of solo mining to help understand what was really going on here. So if im seeing this correctly, whoever is finding the blocks is getting a best share of over 112M? https://www.dropbox.com/s/yzd7udc5c4px4me/dogecoindiff.pngPlease and thank you to any insight on this topic.

I would like to explore the refund option while the price of bitcoin is still so low. That way we can get as close to 95% of our refunds back as possible.
Thank you for the update waldy!

So basically they are giving the option to not ship the Neptunes, but offer waldohoover a hashing power worth the amount of Neptunes he currently "owns"?
|
|

Im interested, but people bring up some good points. Also your room on freenode.. Whoever "lmfsthefounder" is, needs to be in the room and set a topic.

A refund is starting to look pretty appealing right about now. Whats everyone else in Neptune #3 thinking?
|
|
|
Hmm.. Decisions decisions.
If we refund, i personally would get ~ 0.4 BTC back, meaning i would be at a loss of 0.1 BTC.
If we stay the course, theres a lot that could happen. -On time Q1 delivery, suppose the difficulty is at 3.5 billion by then (and that is probably being optimistic). We would receive ~ 0.05029065 BTC per share per week. Then when everyone starts up their Neptunes, the difficulty would go sky high.. I wish i could get a rough estimate at what that might be. I want to get an idea about what ~ 0.05 BTC /week decaying over time would be like once the hashrate explodes.
-Late delivery, even worse odds of a return of investment than an on time delivery.
Anyone have a crystal ball know how much hash power will hit the network once KnC delivers the Neptunes / to see the difficulty in late march / mid april?

If the third neptune is still going to ship during Q1, i will buy two shares.
Yes, still Q1 - I have you down for 2. I am in for two shares because on Neptune #3 because it was supposed to ship Q1. Has this changed?

Thanks got mine. Do you plan to sell this machine at some point?
Not sure- we'll take it day by day for now. Maybe in the future KnCMiner may offer a trade-in option for new machines.. who knows. That would be something to look forward to. Personally though id rather keep it and run it into the ground. We might not be getting much of a payout now, but thats relative to the exchange rate. I dont mind holding my payouts until they are worth more.
