Why and how does a node get "stuck"? Didn't know that could happen. Is that something you guys handle on your end at freebitco.in or is it a blockchain issue where all we can do is wait?

I can't give a definitive answer until wetsuit has fixed it and gets back to me but why does any computer stop working from time to time? The possibilities are endless but it could be out of memory, a hardware fault, power failure, internet connection gone down or just someone at the hosting facility pulled the wrong cable out.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. My transaction broadcasted and is getting confirmed. Thank you.

Is something going on with Instant Payouts/Withdrawals now? My most recent one is still pending on my account and it's been more than 1+ hour...

There does seem to be a technical issue. I've messaged wetsuit to get him to take a look. Probably the node has stuck and needs a reboot.

Ok, thank you for looking into it. My Instant Payout still pending for 7.5 hours now, hasn't even broadcasted to the blockchain so I figured it wasn't a fee issue. I hope this gets resolved soon...

4  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment 🎰📈🏀⚾🏈⚽ on: June 10, 2021, 03:38:54 AM
If I have an account at nitrogensports am I allowed to bet on nitrobetting.eu?
You should read the article thoroughly, provided by @Haunebu above and here is the link for that one

https://bitedge.com/blog/everything-you-need-to-know-about-nitro-betting-nitrogen-sports-new-site/

It's state that the both the sites will be operating side by side and Nitrogen have just started a new site where you can have you different account created maybe for only US players only. They have also merited this thread which shows it's their subsidiary casino. But always have a proper look before depositing any funds over there.

(1) I have the same question as the OP and I don't feel the answers have been satisfactory. Could a mod or representative from Nitrobetting.eu please clarify: are we allowed to have and use (deposit/bet/withdraw) both a Nitrogen Sports account AND a Nitrobetting.eu account at the same time without penalty/punishment? I'm mainly asking because the 100% deposit match bonus up to a maximum of 50 mBTC is appealing to me, which is why I'm considering opening an account at Nitrobetting.eu, but I already have a Nitrogen Sports account that I actively use with some pending wagers/futures.

(2) For this 100% deposit match bonus up to a maximum of 50 mBTC as advertised here (https://nitrobetting.eu/promotions/), I just wanted to confirm that the rollover is indeed 30x for this deposit bonus, meaning that if I deposit 50 mBTC and receive a 50 mBTC bonus, I'll have to do 3000 mBTC ([50 + 50] x 30) worth of sports wagers to finish the rollover, is that correct?

(3) What is the timeframe to achieve this rollover or can we take as long as we want? Does the smaller of the risk/win of our wagers count towards our rollover and does it differ if we are wagering on favorites at minus odds or underdogs at plus odds?

Thank you.

The bitcoin mempool is CRAZY right now. Sent out a transaction via my freebitco.in wallet, feels like it may pend till next week if not longer given it only was sent with a fee at ~54 sat/B. Is there any way I could pay freebitco.in to do replace-by-fee (RBF) or some other acceleration method? I'm not the recipient, so I can't do child-pays-for-parent (CPFP).

Anything? Thanks.

We found out what the problem was. We use the average of 3 different fee estimators and one of them (btc.com) has got stuck and not updated for 2 days which meant the average was too low. The good thing about that is that the fees btc.com are charging on their transaction accelerator are also low right now so we got most of the stuck transactions through.

Thanks, TheQuin! My transaction from about 31 hours ago got confirmed sometime recently. I also appreciate the links you shared and you taking the time to explain the situation. Cheers!

Thanks for the explanation @TheQuin. Well, I guess all I can do is....wait. Hopefully it gets at least ONE confirmation in the next few hours? Who knows.

The queue is clearing quite quickly now so if that continues it will be soon now.

Any chance you guys would let us customize our fees in the future to prevent a situation like this? For really urgent transactions (like this one), I would have willingly and intentionally selected an absurdly high transaction fee to ensure it something like this didn't happen.

We have low transaction fees because we consolidate all our deposits and batch together withdrawals making the amount of data for each user's share in each transaction smaller. That does mean that all user's transactions are dependant on each other. To allow individual users to choose fees independently would mean we have to change the entire system resulting in higher fees for everyone. It's a balancing act between faster confirmations and higher fees and we think with the nature of our site the majority would opt for lower fees and the occasional wait.

That makes sense. Thank you for the response/explanation. I appreciate it. My transaction was confirmed so all is good. Thank you.

Anyone else's instant withdrawal been pending for a LONG time? Mine is still unconfirmed after 6+ hours, and normally it's been very fast with freebitco.in (like less than 1 hour to get at least ONE confirmation with an instant withdrawal). Looking at the transaction on the blockchain, it looks like a really low fee was used, like 19-20 sat/Byte. Why is the instant withdrawal this time so much slower and seemingly such a low fee used as opposed to the other 95% of instant withdrawals I've done with freebitco.in in the past?

Can I do anything to speed it up? Feels like I have to wait many more hours, maybe even a day or more?

Thanks.
Better try to reach out support and tell them about this issue or here check if @TheQuin or @freebitco.in PR available then send them message surely they will try to solve your issue and you will able to have your instant withdrawal very quickly.

Hm...ok. I sent them a message. Thanks.

Hello I made a demand for bitcoin withdrawal, although it is 40 minutes, can you provide information that has not been processed yet?

Same with me, it's been almost two hours and I received the email from freebitco.in that it was sent. I checked and am 100% sure it was sent to the right address as well and did an instant withdrawal. What is concerning to me is that the links to show the transaction on the blockchain or to verify it exists don't work/give me an error message.

What happened?

In the same way, I checked the address came in the correct mail. I did a transaction code query, but no such operation was found

That can happen from time to time when there is a long gap between blocks on the Bitcoin network. To help keep fees low we only keep one UTXO in the wallet which means we are always spending the change of a previous transaction. When as just happened there is a gap of nearly an hour shortly followed by another long gap https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h and the network gets congested, we can't broadcast further transactions until the existing ones get confirmed. That's why the TxID we gave you couldn't be found on the network, we had prepared it but had to wait to broadcast it.

I see. Thank you for the thorough explanation. I did eventually get the withdrawal sent to the address I wanted and albeit it took longer than I wanted, I understand.

Reading the comments above: Pending withdrawals for weeks from multiple users (one for seven months!). No response from customer service. No presence on bitcointalk for over one month. Has anyone even been paid out for winning the NFL survivor pools? Think those ended a while ago.

Seems concerning...
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏈Join Nitro NFL Survivor Pools with over 7.7 BTC in GTD Prizes 🏈 No House Cuts on: August 22, 2019, 08:38:12 AM
Hey Nitrogen, are there separate exclusive NFL Survivor Social Pools, one for Facebook, one for Twitter, and one for Bitcointalk? Or is it all the same pool?

Already submitted my information on Twitter and Facebook, not sure if we have to do it here too. Thanks!

~as it is common knowledge amongst bettors that exchanges will often shut down your account permanently if you directly withdrawal from a sportsbook to their exchange (as they don't want to associate themselves with gambling and/or potentially illicit coins).
~

From what I know it only concerns US based exchanges, Coinbase in particular. But, in fact, I doubt that even Coinbase will confiscate your funds in case you you've made a withdrawal from a sportsbook. Yes, I've read stories about "Coinbase blocking accounts that withdraw from gambling sites", but what "blocking" actually means here? They can block you from using their site, but I think they don't have the right to take your coins.

Also, are there other sites like that actually? Because I've managed to find only Coinbase-related stories. Maybe it's better just to not use Coinbase?

Per people I know and other forums (Reddit, SBR, etc), yes, exchanges can and will shut down your account. They will return your funds (I never stated they took/kept your money), but you are not able to use their services again. There are also rumors that this hinders your ability to utilize other exchanges since information like this may be shared between them.

Coinbase is the most often cited one, but it's not the only one. And there seem to be triggers for them or any exchange to even do this, as not all bettors who withdraw directly from a sportsbook to an exchange directly are flagged.

Have talked with numerous other bettors I know on various platforms and forums (not bitcointalk specifically) and I know they are also confused in regards to these two (2) questions, so any clarification here (and especially added to the website itself) would be greatly appreciated. Several year fan of freebitco.in and hope to see you guys and gals continue to grow.

Thanks in advance.

I'll see if we can put more information up.

Thanks for the quick response to my questions, @TheQuin. Much appreciated. Will relay the information to others I know.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: May 29, 2019, 08:08:05 AM
Forgive me if this has been answered before, didn't find anything relevant via the Search bar + Google searches of this particular thread though it seems like others have SOME of the same questions I do.

It's been intriguing to see the growth of freebitco.in over this past year, especially adding their sportsbook/betting platform in recent months. I actually bet a lot on different platforms (fiat books like BetOnline, Bookmaker, Bovada + crypto books like Nitrogen Sports). I've stored a good amount of my BTC with freebitco.in and use it as my personal wallet for the 4.08% interest and intermediary between sportsbooks (like the ones mentioned earlier in my post) and exchanges (Coinbase, etc) as it is common knowledge amongst bettors that exchanges will often shut down your account permanently if you directly withdrawal from a sportsbook to their exchange (as they don't want to associate themselves with gambling and/or potentially illicit coins).

Questions:

1) Given freebitco.in added their sportsbook/betting platform making them not just a faucet/wallet but now also a sportsbook, is it safe to withdraw BTC from freebitco.in directly to an exchange? I'm starting to think no, it's not...

2) The betting seems to be parimutuel (like horse racing) in that odds are not decided until the betting period is closed, is that correct? And I saw the formula for the time weight multiplier in the website and understand the GENERAL concept (earlier wagers are paid out more with a higher weight of the prize pool), but I am still unable to have a good sense of what my wager and therefore payout is potentially worth. I feel some betters like myself really value being able to detect whether or not we have an edge in regards to a specific wager, so if it's unknown to us (because we don't know what odds we are getting or what the ultimate payout will be for our bet), many people will simply not bet to be safe.

Have talked with numerous other bettors I know on various platforms and forums (not bitcointalk specifically) and I know they are also confused in regards to these two (2) questions, so any clarification here (and especially added to the website itself) would be greatly appreciated. Is this pool different than the ones offered on the other social media outlets or exclusive to bitcointalk participants?
