201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETF Decision make a negative impact? on: January 08, 2019, 10:22:46 AM
If we think about the price, then it will surely help to increase the price of Bitcoin and maybe also other altcoins will grow.
But it will bring more big investors, more whales to the market and market will become more centralized, I think.

Many people do not realize this when they talk about the ETF. They forget the good it will eventually do the crypto business once it is put in place. I know for sure it will stabilize the market and make more investors come into cryptos. More.money will find its way into this business just like it did with gold etf.

Well, as far as the market is concerned, it will be beneficial for everybody. But what more good will it bring after that?

We can only speculate, look at it and do nothing about it.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PreICO] Secure Swap - DEX without compromise on: January 08, 2019, 01:06:56 AM
Anything about this DEX that somehow will get me into opening this as a DEX?

We all entirely know how people get scammed after trusting one unknown exchange and then lost all their money. Any good traits we can really be sure you guys are not like the others?
203  Economy / Economics / Re: When the tide goes out on: January 07, 2019, 11:56:40 PM
this year the waves will soon be extinguished, and the sharks will begin to move again, then the pump will start soon. I say this because I see a market situation that has now started to increase, and there has been no drastic decline.

indeed the current increase is taking place. but the increase certainly occurred slowly. so we have to be patient in waiting for the increase in bitcoin. because every success is not done in a hurry, everything needs a process.
with a slow but sure process, I think it will produce a good ending. therefore we must maintain psychology so as not to panic, to help the market get back on track. the spread of good news certainly can strengthen the psychology of investors, so that it can change the situation. as is the case with the news and ETF news that will take place soon
Supposedly we've been looking for this last year but it turns out nothing happen with the market.  We're on the track again and we do hope that it will continue to rise even reaching into 20% high.
May this year will be a good year for crypto and people will turn back into investing again.

Or it might be another disappointing year. Nobody really can say. Just pure speculations on anyone's part and still the market will go on like any of us matters to it.

I agree. Madami nyan lalo ung may sarili talagang use. Nakakainis man, tipong pera na naging bato pa.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Tokenization of real-world assets on: January 07, 2019, 06:21:54 AM
This is a bad news for banks because they are the one who hold funds for this kind of activity and they get commission for every transaction done weather its a loss or a profit. Now, if tokenization would be materialized, people will now have an access to these exchanges without giving much information and restriction and it would do great to exchanges because more investors means healthier profit.

It will also encourage terrorist funding to which banks are always minded to follow a country's Anti-Money Laundering laws.

We should also expect more manipulation for the market if this happens.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: When the tide goes out on: January 06, 2019, 12:49:58 AM
Okay, well just so you know, your expression isn't clear and isn't commonly used in English, so you should probably expect future misunderstandings. You're referring to "bagholders" and "permabulls" (people who always believe price will rise and refuse to sell at a loss). "Marrying an asset" doesn't actually specify what side you're trading (long or short) so it's not a useful expression

I don't know about English (actually, there is a phrase about "marrying an asset, not a liability") but it is a well-established term or concept in trading (investing) meaning exactly what I put into it.

The phrase about "marrying an asset, not a liability" is literally about choosing a spouse. Maybe you could link to a source that explains the investing concept?

Yes, and I wholeheartedly concur with it. So is it common or what?

Regarding its use in investing or trading contexts, now I recall that I often met this expression in the commodities section of investing.com (in the crude oil part, more specifically). But as you were trying to search it on Google, now I'm seriously doubting that it is me who is to expect future misunderstandings. Maybe, you are not as knowledgeable as you think you are, both trading and English language wise? No need to get all defensive, just in case

I couldn't find anything on Google

Kidding aside, searching the forum would suffice:

As i said earlier, i love BTC (and most of my tiny investment is on BTC), but ppl really need to NOT MARRY AN ASSET
I bought BTC to sell it to make money not to marry with it like you guys
Read the news, watch the charts, don't marry your investment
I don't marry my tokens, I date them

As you can see, the meaning is pretty straightforward in trading and investment contexts. To me, it doesn't look like uncommon, either. Maybe, you should learn how to use the search button?

Either way, I don't marry my bitcoins, I date them
So the secret is really dating them not marrying it? I have read somewhere he still  has the same amount of bitcoin since this began.

And I presumably think he has not sold any of it.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - ICO] CGCX: First Hybrid Crypto Platform In Singapore on: January 05, 2019, 03:13:13 AM
I think so too. It will also avoid people on Telegram pretending to be admins of CGCX. Less mistakes, more credibility on your part especially if people who have problems can easily chat someone on your site about their problem.
maybe you can add an online chat service on CGCX exchange, so when someone has a problem or complaint on CGCX exchange, he can directly communicate with the admin on the website, I think that would be a good feature.

Guys, thanks a lot for taking your time to talk about CGCX exchange and expressing your opinions. It means much for us! Smiley We can see our strong sides and not quite, this will help us to improve our exchange and services.

About account verification.
Normally it takes 4 hours to pass KYC, but sometimes it may take a couple of days. This will happen if our automatic system won't be able to read your documents due to one of the folowing reasons:

  • Invalid ID: use passport \ driving license for faster KYC;
  • Edges are not visible: make sure they are visible Smiley
  • Low resolution: make sure you use a good cam;
  • Expired document: please, make sure documents are up to date.

Also, feel free to chat with us about your KYC or any other topic in our telegram chat room:
https://t.me/CGCXio
Or simply ask any question using our support e-mail address:
support@cgcx.io.

Wish you all of the best on 2019!

208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revolution or a new start? on: January 04, 2019, 09:37:51 PM
Paying tax with bitcoin? Then what will the government do when its prices hike up? How about its accounting?

It is indeed a revolution. But how will they cope up with the excess gains and losses?
209  Local / Pilipinas / Re: It's a bear market. Are you ready to go full time? Ano ang magandang gawin? on: January 04, 2019, 02:41:55 PM

210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 10th birthday, Bitcoin! on: January 04, 2019, 01:10:12 AM
As its 10th birthday and a new year for new future of this tech. Maybe you can share your experiences for the past months/years.

• When and where you encountered bitcoin.
• Lowest and highest price you bought bitcoin.
• Your highest loss and gain.
• Knowledge you get.
• Wallet and exchange you're using.
• 10 altcoin/token you have besides bitcoin.

Happy new year btw.

Happy new year too.

> Saw it before on an app. Tried installing it, find ways to have it and learn about it.
> Bought? I think I haven't bought any BTC related. I would rather have alts.
> $2500 USD as gain. $3000 USD loss.
> A lot. That this industry needs more people to understand what blockchain really does and that its not all about the money.
> I have a lot of wallets. MEW, Coins.ph, NEO Wallet. As long as I need to make it, I will make it.
> I have sold all of them. Kept those which I can't really sell. Bitdegree, Coinlancer, Etainpower.
211  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Local Board: Pilipinas on: January 03, 2019, 08:57:38 AM
Nakita ko ito last time pa.

I think this is fair enough for us too.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to sell for cryptocurrency? on: January 03, 2019, 08:55:15 AM
You will sell your land which appreciates its value every time with something that every little news can obliterate or appreciate its price? My friend. Don't do that.

I would rather have a land rather than gamble in this market like seriously.
213  Local / Pilipinas / Re: IGNORANCE OF THE LAW EXCUSES NO ONE on: January 02, 2019, 11:31:55 AM

Lakas makahype. Aminin nyo man o hindi.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is a bitcoin shopping cart realistic? on: January 02, 2019, 12:10:19 AM
There are a lot of projects offering this bitcoin shopping cart. Its realistic since one of the alts are already doing it.

Check out this site: https://megaxstore.com/blogs/news/electroneum-now-accepted-at-megaxstore

Check this directory of businesses which accepts ETN too : https://electroneum101.com/spend-electroneum/
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the real price? on: January 01, 2019, 02:29:01 AM
The answer always relies on which exchanges are having the most trades I guess? Since most of the money will go in and go out of there simultaneously.

But really, it won't be any different to other people who are trading since you can actually have gains despite the difference in prices of BTC.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in 2018 December. on: December 30, 2018, 11:38:09 PM
I haven't paid too much attention to ico since November, because of the market conditions like this.
we know that even though in this kind of market condition there must be a successful ico but the chances are very small.
almost all of the new ico coins listed have experienced a very severe decline in value.

Well I haven't really focused on any ICO right now because the market is down ever since the year started.

It will be yet another question to ask if we will see another bull run or another bull trap in the making.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ANXIOUS ABOUT BITCOIN PRICE? on: December 30, 2018, 11:00:48 PM
I consider myself a true believer in bitcoin, so of course I recommend you in no way sell your coins. If you and your father are also confident in the prospects of bitcoin, then do not hurry with the sale. I think that bitcoin will recover and you will still be able to get your profit.

I think you're still in profit if you bought it at ICO price, $100, even at $1000. They all just want big profits from out of nowhere investing here. We all know this bear market won't recover soon enough for everyone to be actually into it 'again'. Maybe in another year or so but not soon enough.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan Approves Self-Regulation for Cryptocurrency Industry on: December 30, 2018, 10:55:38 PM
The Japanese government is a lot more open-minded than most of the other countries in the world. They were the first government to accept Bitcoin as a currency, when other countries defined Bitcoin as a commodity.

Now they approve self-regulation with a currency that has the potential to be used for money laundering and also criminal activities and capital flight. We should applaud them for this and support them in this endeavor. Create mechanisms that would help to prevent this and also counter measures to catch the criminals that misuse this technology.  Angry

I really think they indeed looked up into something about countermeasures about money laundering and criminal activities when accepting this self-regulation since they all want to play safe, just like what South Korea did with its legislation on cryptocurrency. In fact, if we haven't actually read their self regulation entirely, we should not be that sad since we are talking about these Japanese people.
219  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NO coins.ph na sa CEBUANA!!! XRP may pasabog! on: December 29, 2018, 07:35:03 AM
Check out their official facebook page. Whatever they do, sguro mas okay yun. May iba pa namang cash out options sa Coins.ph na mas better sa Cebuana. LBC Peso Padala, instant.Sobrang instant talaga.
220  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Local community manager wanted!!! on: December 29, 2018, 05:59:26 AM
Any good information about the job? A telegram group perhaps? Since you were talking about 'community management'?

I would like to inquire about the job since I saw the site isn't open yet and there's only disclaimer on the front page?
