1043  Economy / Marketplace / [Question] Bitcoin Quilts would you buy one? on: March 09, 2018, 11:48:19 AM
Question: Looking to see if there is interest in Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency quilts/throws.

I have access to a local community of quilters that raise money for their quilt guild, breast cancer and other charities. I was going to pitch them the idea of creating some quilts related to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. I would than Auction/Sell them off here on the forums.

Some of the ideas:
Custom QR Codes
Bitcoin (Ethereum, Neo etc) Quilt
They can range in size, but I felt like a Throw (Lap Quilt) 60'x60' (153x153cm) would be the size of most interest.

Let me know if you would be interested in buying a quilt or throw.
or
If you have any ideas or suggestions of what they could make.

Not to make anyone jealous, but here is one of the quilts they created for me when I was a kid.

1046  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: March 09, 2018, 03:33:55 AM
As mentioned throughout this thread stand alone loans are super risky. You need some form of collateral to cover the loans.

I would be interested to see the data of defaulting on loans from a company focused on loans like SaltLending.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: March 09, 2018, 03:32:01 AM
I think a lot of people got into the market in late 2017 thinking money is easy to earn and they can just buy any crypto and get rich.

This attracted too much attention and now the market is sold down by all these new investors who are getting burnt and getting out of

I think this holds most of the truth. I also think it has to do with early investors taking their first payouts and people being very hesitant to re-invest with the scam and ponzis that have been going on in the scene.
1048  Other / Off-topic / Amazon FBA Pictures? on: March 08, 2018, 06:43:11 AM
Off-topc is off-topic.

Question for people involved in Amazon FBA scene. What photography company or services can you recommend?

Looking for someone that does all the necessary photos of a product for private label.

Prefer if they are in North America (United States or Canada) and have experience accepting shipped products and taking photos that meet Amazon Terms of Service.

1049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is the best? on: March 08, 2018, 06:34:54 AM
I personally use Jaxx and BreadWallet for iOS. I use Ledger Nano S for cold storage. I think it comes down to preference as most wallets function the same besides the software.

Here is list of Hardware wallets I've put together. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3066531
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tell Me Trusted Site About Cryptocurrency News on: March 08, 2018, 05:59:27 AM
https://coinspectator.com has a better layout than most crypto aggregators and has some interesting ICO information.

https://www.facebook.com/Cryptocurrency-News-282846878896256 If you want a good Facebook feed (as I like scrolling through Facebook and seeing news) which has the best news selection I've seen. Most of the other Facebook groups are biased or spammed with advertisement.

r/cryptocurrency you can't go wrong here, there is a lot of spam, FUD and Shilling but I find most of it gets sorted through.
1051  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets? on: March 08, 2018, 03:18:49 AM
of the many hardware wallets you say, which do you think are most convenient and safe to use?
currently i have used nano ledger, but is there any better than him?
As a hardware wallet user we do have our own preferred convenience, some liked trezor, keepkey and the others nano s. To say if there is better on the current hardware wallet you are using, what makes you inconvenient of using it? You need to read reviews from different people about their wallet so that can give you an idea on which is better.
It's just that the screen and its buttons are too small and sometimes troubles me. I've read some reviews from the keepkey and maybe I'll consider it.

Thank you for the Merit. I've not personally used a Keepkey, but I've held one in my hands and I really liked it. The only reason I've always used Ledger is it being one of the first, most commonly used and it's small to store away. I feel like the Keepkey size would keep me paranoid as it's more like a small phone where as in my eyes than Ledger style is like a 'USD'.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mt. Gox has been dumping on us. on: March 07, 2018, 06:41:22 PM
What do people think of Mt. Gox supposedly dumping on us for the last 2 months.

From what I could find over 35,841 BTC (now BCH also) was from the "hack" and could be the main reason for everything crashing over and over again since December.

Does anyone know of any wallets or data outside of this?
1053  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets? on: March 07, 2018, 01:34:04 AM

Ledger Nano s and Trezor are my favourite wallets. I have merited for you just before. Since you are a newbie you need to learn but you are helping people to make learn something, that is obviously good.
If you are getting more income more than expected value we can go with the hardware wallet else I do not think it is needed.

Thank you for the Merit. I agree though Ledger Nano S is my preferred wallet to date. I'm excited to see what the projects like Archos, Casa, Waves and Cryptonex plan to bring to the table.
1054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if the prices down again? on: March 06, 2018, 07:30:29 AM
Bitcoin user adoption is currently at 0.95%. You are still part of the Innovator phase if you have invested to date.

Now with that said it's important to know that as people flood into and out of the market it very volatile.

My own prediction is that we will see another bull run market in 6-9 months.

Taking that information into account you can than assess where you want to be. I strongly am against selling anything at a loss, but its better than selling it at zero.

Know your projects and invest in foundations such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Neo.

Profit. As always only invest what you are willing and can afford to loose.

1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which casino site is the best on: March 06, 2018, 06:59:18 AM
I really like www.stake.com. The only negative it has is that the games "instant result" has not been working. This is only a problem for someone like me who hates waiting  Grin

Some of the benefits is built in faucet.
Really active chat community. (sorted by region)
Wide variety of games.
Open sourced coding.
1056  Economy / Currency exchange / Recommend Member+ Selling Cryptocurrency on: March 06, 2018, 06:54:44 AM
Hey all,

Can anyone recommend someone Member+ that has a public thread that is selling Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) etc.
Payment: Open to anything.

I've gone through several threads and reached out to a few people, but have not heard anything back.
There also seems to be a lot of big threads that are either abandoned now or the users have been labeled as hacked or sold their accounts.
Note: I can assume some of it has to do with my 'Newbie' rank.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uber co-founder Garrett Camp is launching new cryptocurrency - Eco on: March 06, 2018, 06:25:48 AM
Here are some of the important information.

The white paper talks about three ‘core’ issues related to cryptocurrency and the project aims to improve and incorporate the following:
1) forming a verified network, where universities run nodes,
2) increasing overall token supply, and creating simple web and mobile apps, and
3) designing a system with more energy-efficient and coordinated token generation, to reduce overall power consumption.”

Uber co-founder Garrett Camp, Naval Ravikant founder AngelList and Adam Bain COO Twitter is launching new cryptocurrency Eco. Source
Eco will not be controlled by any one individual, organization, or nation. University partners will play a key role in the development and helping to guide development of the Eco protocol. Source
No ICO which means no money will be raised for the project. This means any potential legal issues that are currently running rampant in the ICO market can be further avoided.
ECO will issue 1,000,000,000,000 (1 Trillion) tokens of which 50% will be given away. 20% will go to the universities running trusted nodes, 10% will go to advisors, 10% will go to strategic partners, and 10% will go to a newly formed Eco Foundation.
ECO wants to offer pre-mined coins to push the industry in a more “Green” direction and leave less of a carbon footprint than coins currently on the market such as BTC.
ECO plans to have a fully operational test net running by early 2019.

It was just announced March 2018, so we’ll see what really happens with this. The big take away is not a means-of-exchange, speculation-driven, not eco-sustainable and most importantly not equality-minded.

1058  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets? on: March 06, 2018, 12:00:13 AM
I've always wondered if there was a better solution than a hardware wallet or paper wallet. Is there going to be some sort of development where individual users are protected without a physical item being the key to secure assets. I think this would be the only time I would be in favour of brain implants  Grin

1060  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT SCAM ! on: March 05, 2018, 10:02:03 AM
I've had 2-3 major problems with YoBit over the last year. Reached out to their support staff and they fixed the problem quickly. I would recommend reaching out to them and being consistent and hopefully the problem is fixed.
