961  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] "The Getaway” - 24 x 48 Painting (Acrylic on Board Canvas) on: March 25, 2018, 05:41:12 PM
Does the artist have any other works / paintings for comparison to this one?

Do they have a website to view?

And possible to have an auction and not a sale?

Thanks

You can see his other artwork here. http://www.andrewkingstudio.com/

Sadly, not able to do an Auction for this as it's from a local gallery.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blockport BETA release!! 29th of March on: March 24, 2018, 08:58:35 PM
I am super excited for this launch and the Beta will only support market orders, which means that you buy or sell cryptocurrency based on market prices. Europ support with SEPA (EEA), iDEAL (the Netherlands) and SOFORT (Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Spain & France).

They seem to really care about their community and quality of their product. Super excited for March 29th.

Still available.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should invest in CyberMiles or Ripples? on: March 24, 2018, 12:12:15 AM
My insight is as follows:

Ripple (XRP) $25,263,237,000 USD Current Market Cap
Has limited space to grow besides back to peek $147,000,000,000 USD.
Ripple has proven itself on a global scale and has mass bank adoption.

CyberMiles (CMT) $60,186,025 USD Current Market Cap
Has lots of room to grow and peak was $265,000,000.
CyberMiles has limited market usage and limited adoption.

If I were to invest for higher chance percentage increase it would be CMT as it has way more room to grow at this day in age. However, both projects have its positives and negatives. Disclaimer: I am not too familiar with CMT outside of the quick review of their platform and website.
965  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What is HardFork, SoftFork? on: March 23, 2018, 09:14:13 PM

What is 'Hard Fork'
A hard fork (or sometimes hardfork), as it relates to blockchain technology, is a radical change to the protocol that makes previously invalid blocks/transactions valid (or vice-versa). This requires all nodes or users to upgrade to the latest version of the protocol software. Put differently, a hard fork is a permanent divergence from the previous version of the blockchain, and nodes running previous versions will no longer be accepted by the newest version. This essentially creates a fork in the blockchain: one path follows the new, upgraded blockchain, and the other path continues along the old path. Generally, after a short period of time, those on the old chain will realize that their version of the blockchain is outdated or irrelevant and quickly upgrade to the latest version.

What is 'Soft Fork'
In terms of blockchain technology, a soft fork (or sometimes softfork) is a change to the software protocol where only previously valid blocks/transactions are made invalid. Since old nodes will recognize the new blocks as valid, a softfork is backward-compatible. This kind of fork requires only a majority of the miners upgrading to enforce the new rules, as opposed to a hard fork which requires all nodes to upgrade and agree on the new version.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best way to keep my crypto investments secure? on: March 23, 2018, 08:09:10 PM
Hardware Wallet is the best way to keep your crypto investments secure.

The top 3 Hardware wallets in the scene are
Ledger Wallets https://www.ledgerwallet.com
KeepKey https://www.keepkey.com
Trezor https://trezor.io

There are about 8 other hardware wallets in the scene: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3066531.0

As well as a hardware wallet follow normal good security measures on your computer or use an offline computer just for your cryptocurrency.
967  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: G20 Sets July Deadline for Crypto Regulation Talk on: March 23, 2018, 04:56:54 AM
The G20 deadlines might seem unrealistic I agree but there are multiple variables. Countries like France and United Kingdom are subject to very tight trading regulations as does the United States. Each country has its own agenda right now and there are definitely bigger problems right now so the pushback on regulation is not surprising. We will see something happen it's just a matter of when.
968  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is facing regulatory pressure on: March 23, 2018, 04:51:19 AM
CZ (CEO of Binance) stated that they are indeed talks with the Japenese regulators, but nothing has been confirmed at this time. This obviously is bad news for Binance. The last thing you really want is a governance staring down at you and assessing your every move and operations. Binance is one of the biggest players in the scene with volume and their impact would be noticed.

I agree with comments above and I would not panic yet as realistically Japan has biases towards their own exchanges. The demographics of Binance are as they state international. It would really suck to loose the Japanese users, but I think Bitflyer and other exchanges will pick up the load.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the most trusted and profitable ICO in 2018? on: March 23, 2018, 04:46:33 AM
I think the most profitable ICO is just under way. Wanchain.org just got listed on Binance and is it's own protocol similar to Ethereum and NEO. It was sold at roughly .34$ and should compete with Ripple/NEO in value sometime soon.

This is my own opinion, but outside of this closed ICO I don't see any other major value at this time. I would recommend checking out these lists of ICO done by community members: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2552575.0
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Child porn links could make Bitcoin blockchain illegal on: March 22, 2018, 04:41:15 PM
This is just FUD to attack Bitcoin on yet another angel. This is because the "terrorist and drug money" has been proven by the masses to be used more by fiat currency. Now they are targeting a different angel. This will blow over as well, but its a really sensitive topic for most which is why its making the major news outlets.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Help] What are the popular casinos for cryptocurrency? on: March 22, 2018, 04:36:24 PM
Thanks for the feedback. I will look into the suggested and make some changes to my list.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 15 Crypto News Sites on: March 21, 2018, 09:32:35 PM
Thank you for the list. One of my favourite news aggregators is https://coinspectator.com which is better looking verison of https://cryptopanic.com/ which kills my inside front end designer.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best Cryptocurrency to Invest? on: March 21, 2018, 07:44:59 PM
I personally believe people approach investment in the space the wrong way. Not saying that it's bad investments, but its usually been guided on the token itself.

I strongly suggest people investing in cryptocurrency on the protocol level. What I mean by this is invest in the main three Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO. If you are investing on tokens on those protocols great, but technically speaking if either of those protocols die so does those tokens.

I think NEO is the best option right now as if the market recovers it will head back towards $168, current $74.
974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: Do you believe the MtGox trustee is saying the truth? on: March 21, 2018, 06:42:47 PM
Of course he's telling the truth, he's a professional with the backing of the court.

He's also acting on the orders of the judge in the case and taking every precaution required to shield him from liability.

This I don't think he would be lying about selling especially as a trustee of an official settlement for Mtgox bankruptcy claim. Think of the legality it would open if he actually sold and lied. These things are governed by rather big entities and he would be following the courts decisions and following it to the letter.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Woah will this ever happen? Twitter banning crypto? on: March 21, 2018, 05:56:58 PM
Facebook
Google
Twitter
Snapchat

next Instagram?

I am not surprised with the ban of cryptocurrency related to ICO as it's probably hit their legal team in some aspects with the recent legality actions taken again content creators.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Help] What are the popular casinos for cryptocurrency? on: March 20, 2018, 09:19:24 PM
Hey all,

I am not a gambler nor do I use any of the casino services besides maybe the occasional dice game.

Question: I wanted to get some feedback on what you believe are the top 5 casinos (in your opinion) in the scene.
Note: I would prefer if they have affiliate programs, but it seems most casinos do by default.

The reason for the feedback is I've created a list of top affiliate programs and I wanted to see what I am missing. You can see the original thread about Crypto Trust here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3041716

I've skimmed most of the thread related to casinos as well as the announcements from the casinos. However, I feel like I might be missing some major ones.

Any feedback would be appreciated and This is what I have so far:

977  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Is Now Talking About Crypto, and It's Not so Good on: March 20, 2018, 05:25:03 PM
The most recent development is that Russia has secretly helped Venezuela launch a cryptocurrency to evade U.S. sanctions.

"President Donald Trump may not have realized on Monday that his executive order would step on Russia’s toes. Its official target was Venezuela, specifically the country’s plan to create the world’s first state-backed cryptocurrency, the petro, which went on sale Tuesday."

It would be interesting to see if this was the plan all along or if it just Russia backing ways to create money for itself and it's allies.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is not people selling, it is people are not buying on: March 20, 2018, 03:07:25 AM
I think we are in a situation where most people either can't afford to make moves or are waiting for those moves to happen before committing.

There are good signs today that the market is starting to grow, but until we see a constant time period with positive growth there won't be much happening. The market moves dramatically when people panic sell or buy.
979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Unconfirmed Transactions where does The Money Go on: March 19, 2018, 11:27:58 PM
From my knowledge the longest unconfirmed transaction was 27 days. All transactions will eventually get confirmed unless canceled or returned. I've never heard of a transaction getting lost or money disappearing.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Useless top 25 Cryptos which will not be there in 2019 on: March 19, 2018, 08:50:00 PM
I think there is going to be a lot of movement in ranks, but I think most top 25 coins are going to be here come 2019.

Just a reminder that these top crypto are centralized. Which is suppose to be trustless.
Ripple
NEO
Cardano
Stellar
IOTA
NEM
