3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: January 21, 2018, 04:20:13 PM
I made a paper wallet for my son and I deposit a smaller amount of Bitcoins there every month. I kept it in a secret place that only me and another person knows.

Yes the intention was great but do you think for everything that have passed Bitcoin will last forever? I dont think so, so for me a better way to save money is to save yes of course but in terms of you your local currency which is more secure than Bitcoins, its just about a spectancy that Bitcoin will not last forever because of the continuous drop of the price.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: how can bitcoin help the community? on: January 15, 2018, 08:08:39 PM
Bitcoin is promising currency, but somehow because of it's volatile value. How can bitcoin help the community? especially the 3rd world country.
Since Bitcoin was giving and providing a virtual income which can be also turned into a real income in terms of converting it into a national currency that can be withdrawn from banks in all over the world, I think Bitcoin can somehow do some help and changes when it comes the life of the people that can turn out to the rise of all over benefits in the community since a population or group of people was making up a whole community living together as one.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: January 15, 2018, 03:55:13 PM
What is the future of cryptocurrencies when all the government need to do is to close the bank accounts of businesses or exchange?

https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-businesses-face-bank-account-closures-in-singapore/
Why do we need to do such thing as eliminating banks all over the world if we can just make it stay on what situation as it is since there is no problem if they will still continue operating for those people who still tend to use real money than virtual money. Added by the fact that despite of the massive usage of cryptocurrencies, we still need banks to turn our virtual moneys into physical money because admit it or not, there will be still instances that we need physical money and that was the role of banks to turn these virtual moneys into real money for real use in the real world.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: January 15, 2018, 03:00:35 PM
given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down?

home internet and mobile internet goes down

do not mean trade bitcoin to buy/sell i mean using it as a way of payment say you wanted to send money to someone abroad for family far away
Well, with that scenario you have stated, I think Bitcoin services and access on it will be abducted and be blocked since Bitcoin was generated and operated online. Maybe the process of transaction will be slow down or the worst thing to happen is that there will be no transactions to be processed since there is no enough access on internet to access your Bitcoin holding in online preference. The services will be temporarily unavailable unless the internet connection will be back into action.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you really make money on Forex? on: January 15, 2018, 02:38:31 PM
Anyone tried or currently trading forex is it possible to make money on it?
I think not just on Forex you can make money through tradings. Because there are also other trading platforms that also do such thing since trading platforms are just like home of currencies so possibly and most likely, you can really make money from these trading platforms aside from Forex. You just really need to be observant and choose wisely on which trading site you will going to trust your trades to come over to make your own income.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 15, 2018, 12:09:56 PM
Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks
If I were you, I will not do such thing as quitting into my physical job im exchange of focusing working into Bitcoin just to obtain higher income. You know why? It is because there is no such assurance that I can earn and obtain an income frequently or in the time when I needed it the most to sustain my daily life expenses. I will still continue to work into my physical job so that I can be sure to obtain and gain an income to support my needs while waiting for my income from Bitcoin. Better to do is to work into both for higher chances of gaining a large income.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: January 15, 2018, 09:32:16 AM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
Actually those what you have heard are just precisely right in some manner and has been applied in different scenario or time because we all do have different ways of using Bitcoin and even altcoins so the term as an asset or currency varies depending on the usage or what we are trying to imply in doing such thing of using Bitcoin. But actually, Bitcoin can be both played as an asset and at the same time as a currency because it do have the characteristics to be those so at the same manner, Bitcoin can be both a currency or an asset.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 15, 2018, 09:19:52 AM
If cryptocurrencies will be the basic mode of exchange in the future, what will happen to the banks then?
We are still not that sure of what will be happening in the future because we are still relying into the present scenario and we are all still just making assumptions and wild guess of what will happen in the future. But I think, as the situation continues of the rise in cryptocurrency usage, I think banks will still the same as it is since people are still needing to have their physical money for much more assurance since Bitcoin and altcoins are built online so there will be still risks associated on it and having a partition in having physical money and virtual money will be a best way to secure your money.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a mode of payment on: January 15, 2018, 09:07:27 AM
Just wondering, who is accumulating Bitcoin via using it as a method of being paid, so instead of being paid in dollars or any other amount you ask client to pay you via Bitcoin especially merchants and freelancers. I think it is cool to be paid via Bitcoin because it appreciates so its like you can earn twice if you sell high.
For me, I have recently been using Bitcoin as a mode of payment when I am paying my friends who are also been using cryptocurrency but that was just sometimes because I would rather been saving it rather than spending it as a term of payment because I do still been into using fiat to pay. Yes it is really cool paying Bitcoin as your mode of payment but when you realize that saving it will be more beneficial rather than spending it for payment, I am sure that you will just tend to use your fiat and keep your Bitcoin instead.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: January 14, 2018, 10:34:11 PM
Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
I think it will not to be literally extinct. But maybe the production and usage will be just lessen since the use of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and other types of cryptocurrencies namely altcoins will be popularized along with the rise of the modern technology which will make it as an easiest way as possible to access this type of cryptocurrency compared to real money..
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: January 01, 2018, 03:27:56 PM
Hello!

If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?
Possibly people will really lose interest into other type of cryptocurrency once Bitcoin will be permanently down or being abolished by the government. But if there will be a great opportunity and observable potential to grow that an altcoin will provide such thing like what Bitcoin have done, possibly, they will just move into other cryptocurrencies and continue the journey of getting along with cryptocurrencies even Bitcoin was gone or without the presence of Bitcoin.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2018, 02:12:13 PM
what makes bitcoin appealing, in other words: what is the "breaking the ice" part about bitcoin that you can tell a newbie in a sentence or two, too pull them into this crypto journey BTC @millzp0
For me, the attractive part about Bitcoin that makes it appealing for many people to keep engaging into this type of currency is the capability and capacity of it to provide an income online which is the main thing that I have saw with Bitcoin that I admit attracts me to go beyond exploring and engaging into it. The price was also literally amazing and attractive and also the large possibility to gain profit from investments is also observable that even you just hold it on a short period of time, you are gaining with it that is why it is coined to be the new era of currency in terms of being virtual.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: each state will create its own token? on: January 01, 2018, 01:00:09 PM
Hello people! As you consider whether each state to create their own tokens? under its currency?
Actually, all states do have their own currency which maybe based from other countries currencies or just made and established by their own government. Well, if each countries or state will be creating their own customized tokens for different purposes or usages, it will be just fine because it has been already made since then that each countries have their own currencies so no matter what happen if they will established their own tokens, it will not be different anymore.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: January 01, 2018, 09:46:38 AM
Anyone bought drugs with bitcoin and what are you thought on the subject ?

i know i have used bitcoin to buy psilocybe cubensis thank you bitcoin i cold have not done this without you now i can trip watching corry & eastenders in the evening its such a sight.
I haven't even try buying drugs with the usage of Bitcoin because although it is a currency used to buy whatever the holder wants, there are still limitations for the usage of this currency. I admit it to myself that I will not be using Bitcoin for such thing as drugs because there are lot more important things that I need to spend and for me, drugs are just a waste of money and can ruin ones life. Also, if the international government will ever discover that Bitcoin was used for easy payment on buying drugs, surely they will destroy and stop the usage of Bitcoin to stop the negative actions done with the presence of it.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: January 01, 2018, 09:24:53 AM
Steam dropped bitcoin support citing "high volatility" as a motive.

When amazon stock jumped from $18 to $1,200 over a period of years, was this high volatility a bad thing?

If bitcoin's value increases from $6,000 to $16,000 over a period of months, and HODL'ers benefit, this high volatility is bad?

Where does the idea of high volatility being an unnecessary evil come from?

Are there good arguments or evidence which support the concept of high volatility being a negative circumstance?

In a sense, volatility simply means the price of something moves a lot, its not that bad if the vast majority of motion is in an upward direction?

 Huh Huh Huh
Actually Bitcoin volatility are constantly observed by many people as a negative thing because it makes dumping and lowering of their initial holdings instead of being risen just what like they have been expecting when they enter this kind of currency. But seeing it as a negative, is a positive thing for the other people because it gives them opportunity to buy more bitcoins for more chances of gaining when the price goes back into a pump so we must do it also looking Bitcoin volatility in a positive outlook.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 31, 2017, 10:16:26 PM
Hi guys! Can you share some tried and tested tricks on making the most out of your buck and also some tips on how to save money more effectively. This will be a heck of a help to our fellow users here. Thank you so much.
In my case, I am saving my money by just simply disciplining myself in lessening my expenditures on those things who are not really in need and focusing on the important things that are needes to really spend of money. By this, I can secure and assure that I am into saving because I need to think of this for my own sake also that saving will be beneficial on my part and too much spending of money will just give me problems in the future especially when time comes that I am in a shortage situation.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Been Scammed? on: December 25, 2017, 05:35:25 PM
I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

Actually being scammed in online platform was now getting a normal scenario nowadays because as people are getting desperate of earning an instant money through working or transacting online, they will give all what they have which is literally wrong because it is what the scammers really seeking for to gain their victims and have their own instant income. This scenario was made easy by the presence of internet because even you do not know the person, you are getting into it even you are just new with it and no one can evenly know whether you got scam or what. What is important thing to do is to assure and seek for further information so that you have tough knowledge out of it to avoid getting scam
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin on webcam sites ? on: December 25, 2017, 05:08:51 PM
Your opinions and thoughts as to whether girls should use Bitcoin on webcam sites:
Maybe. I am not sure if there is any girl who have been using or accepting Bitcoin through webcam site. Even if there is any, is it a big deal? Or does it really matter anyway? Anyway, bitcoin was widely use by any type or kind of people by their own preference or want on how to use their own bitcoin. Whether it is bad or not, because they are the one who is possible of whatever it takes of using it. Also, bitcoin was not only centralized to boys so I bet, girls can also use it on whatever they want. Even using it on webcam sites.
