121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With Chinese New Year at our door, will the price rise? on: February 18, 2018, 06:37:31 AM
Hello everyone!

So, with the new year of dog at our doorspetps, do you expect the price of all the coins to rise? Or at least the major ones? I have written some articles in the past month, where i was pointing out Chinese New Year coming up as one of the factors of the decline. The reason for that was, that Asian people will spent a lot of money in this time, so not really buying crypto, eventually going out from crypto for a while to have some FIAT for spendings and so on.

With the New Year here, we can see increae in the price already. I don't really think that this is a coincidence! What price do you expect now? How fast do you expect everything to rise?

I am expecting slower pace for BTC, which will be really good for the altcoins, as they can increase their ALT/BTC price, which in the end can increase their $ price much faster.
Maybe, for all I know, the Chinese still have very superstitious believe in many things. For example, they buy gold in the new year for good luck from Wealth God. BTC could be a new kind of 'gold' investment in Chinese's way of thinking so we could expect a little increase.

They can and they will have more rules to make sure cryptocurrency won't replace fiat paper money, at least for unofficial cryptocurrency anyway.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][STL] 👾Stellite👾 - private, untraceable, and truly decentralized on: February 04, 2018, 10:46:26 AM
I mined 2000 coins a day on my 6 gtx 1080 card rig not bad at all.
what is your hashrate? 2000 coins/per is very bad, i think at least must be over 50k per day.
Your a liar
guy, please use your brain more frequent than your hand, i'm here help you find out the solution.
If you assume you mined 2000 coins per day you'll lost your electricity bill. So you can buy some STL on discord instead lost your money meanlessly.
Maybe it was because of the diff so less and fewer rewards per day? Or he wasn't mod his rig so hashrate low?
124  Other / Meta / Re: TRUST ABUSE BY NEW DT MEMBERS.. Theymos should review the trust system. on: January 22, 2018, 10:40:56 AM
I know that I shouldn't use this as an excuse or try to justify for my poor grasp of my English but really, able to master one language is very difficult.
It most certainly is not. The word 'master' is very vague and you most certainly do not need to "master" English to post as a regular user.

This is an online forum, not an academic broad where everyone has to post a long wall of text. What are you doing right now only make the trust system lower its standard for the shitposters and not scammers or illegal activity.
Here's a simpler and more elegant solution: Do not posting in a language which you do not know well enough.
Pardon for another quote but this to address your first point.

If I do not need to "master" English to post as a regular user then who going to decide which users have good English and not? The Pharmacist? Then want to ask if he was an expert in assert English or just a racist over the internet with his own standard of what was "good English" and what was"3rd world garbage English".

Look at how many complaints he got up in recent day and don't tell me you could easily dismiss all of that cause "They are just bunch of haters because they receive negative trust from him" or "He did nothing wrong". If you could say that then I will call this broad is governed by a bunch of elitists that so detach from the community.

This is an online forum, not an academic broad where everyone has to post a long wall of text. What are you doing right now only make the trust system lower its standard for the shitposters and not scammers or illegal activity.

You don't need to write a thesis for every post but you don't need to force yourself to just write a hollow sentence of nothingness either. It's clear that you don't actually care about contributing anything here because you don't seem to have made a single constructive post nor one that is more than a sentence. In fact, they're barely more than a handful of words. Why is that? Because you don't need to write anything else so why bother. I'm betting the only reason you post here like 99% of the other users who sign up now is just to earn and in the laziest way possible without putting any thought or effort into their posts whatsoever. This forum has become useless for any sort of discussion as it has been taken over by shitposters and crapcoin ICOs churning out posts just to rank up and/or claim payment and that's why people are fighting back by using the trust system because it's the only weapon they have until theymos finally decides to do something about this issue.

And shitposters are far worse to this community than scammers. Scammers don't pollute every sub board like a cancer spreading. They stick to the Marketplace and if people are stupid enough to send them their money then it's very likely their own fault in 99% of cases.

I know that I shouldn't use this as an excuse or try to justify for my poor grasp of my English but really, able to master one language is very difficult.

Well, better make a sticky banner at the top of bitcointalk say 'English Only' then. Did you know a language in the end just a way to communicate with each person? I feel very disgusted at the sign of a person that takes proud of his English and consider everyone else are inferior to him when his English was his mother tongue language.

Bitcointalk is an English-speaking board. It's also stated in rule number 9:

Quote
9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board. [e]

Anyone who isn't fluent should stick to their local boards.
Just this could show how your blind hatred over for a bunch of shitposters to consider them worst than a scammer. Lucky that is your own opinion anyway. If you want to save the "perfectly English" in here so much then step up the game, hired an English Nazi squad, wear a badge and going around abuse the trust system for your own selfish way of hatred over shitposters or 3rd world English garbage.

Is it really necessary to put an immediate decision upon putting some negative trust on one's account?
Yes.
Remember its hard to rank here
And idiots are ranking up as fast as possible by making bitcointalk a joke of a forum.  Pick any new topic and 75% of it are padded shitposts made for financial gain.
I think neutral trust will be the best way
Um, no.  Neutral trust does nothing, and these people are too manipulative and way outnumber the good guys.  The only way to stamp them out is to 1) Ban them, 2) Nix sig campaigns altogether, or 3) Prevent them from joining campaigns.
Negative trust might help a little with the #3 solution.
Shit posting can be change
Not with people who can't speak English, sorry to say.
Bidding on account sales can be corrected
Yes, if the bidders fear negative trust from DT members.  Change isn't always comfortable.
I see all of your posts were about "much English". Do tell, speak any other language other than your mother tongue language, English?

I know that I shouldn't use this as an excuse or try to justify for my poor grasp of my English but really, able to master one language is very difficult.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to personally attack but you should chill down a bit. This is an online forum, not an academic broad where everyone has to post a long wall of text. What are you doing right now only make the trust system lower its standard for the shitposters and not scammers or illegal activity.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 03:01:33 PM
Like it or not it has become the reserve currency for icos and is slowly displacing btc on exchanges as a trading pair. Moreover, it has the history and brand recognition, a star developer and its platform is used for lts of apps. It’s not perfect, it has bugs. I am actually not a big fan and think there are many up and coming alternatives but we’re obviously not there yet.

So, basically, she's the most popular girl in school ... got it ...
lol OP, I wish ETH could be simple like that.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How big can the whole market grow? on: January 21, 2018, 02:58:15 PM
I mean the total cap of all crypto. Of course no one can know for sure, but it would be interesting to hear any ideas. Btw the global stock market is worth about 80 trillion
Cap base on how lastest bid order so I don't think that is a good way to believe you could liquid all of it at the same bid price.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges and Fees on: January 21, 2018, 02:56:21 PM
Hi

im from the UK and am about to start investing in alt coins. I have a question on fees. I have a Coinbase account.

Can anyone tell me if the below is correct.

Deposit £500 into coinbase acct = No Fees
Buy £500 bitcoin = Fee charged
Transfer Bitcoin to an exchange for eg Binance = Fee charged
On Binance buy alt coin with bitcoin = Fee Charged
If alt coin makes profit transfer it back to bitcoin = Fee charged
Transfer bitcoin back to coinbase = Fee charged
Transfer bitcoin back to £ on coinbase = Fee Charged
WIdthraw £ back to bank account = Fee charged.

Im trying to get my head around exactly where the fees are charged and how high they could be £10, £15?.

Thanks
Do you know how the blockchain work? The fee is for miners to pick up your transaction.

Who believes Ethereum can go 4,000 USD 2018?

Please reply

Yes

Or

No

If there is an overwhelming yes, I am going to buy a mother load!
No, I don't. 4000k sound too unrealistic.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling exact keyword with type in traffic domain on: January 21, 2018, 02:51:28 PM
I am selling
http://bonuscoin.co/

Starting Bid: 1 ETH

Bid increment: .5 ETH

Reserved price: 5 ETH

This gets type in traffic for Alexa ranked 6071 domain
https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bonusbitcoin.co

Free push to your account.
Sound not interesting. Is the domain scene still busy and easy like in the old 2000s age?

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why ADC Audiocoin is going to x5+ shortly on: January 13, 2018, 01:25:10 PM
I want to discuss ADC and its potential. I jumped into ADC a few days ago and after doing a deep dive I wanted to share my findings and why I think it has some serious potential.

First off they have a pretty good track record with real world usage cases. Number one being the partnership deal with Bjork:

https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/6/16611822/bjork-album-utopia-cryptocurrency-audiocoin

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jessedamiani/2017/11/07/what-bjorks-cryptocurrency-paired-album-means-for-the-music-industry/#3f90555a13d8

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/bjork-bitcoin-buy-new-album-utopia-digital-cryptocurrency-iceland-music-litecoin-dash-audiocoin-a8043691.html

This deal has definitely opened the door for Audiocoin and brought it some serious attention from the music/entertainment industry. They have had some huge offers for partnership but as with these things they all come waving NDA’s so they can not name names publicly about them at this time. However what they can talk about is the fact that the ink has dried on a deal done a few days ago and I quote:

“Associated with that we are mere days away from being able to announce a partnership between ADC and one of the largest music studio and equipment sales companies in the world. This is just the beginning; we have many such discussions ongoing.”

Obviously there will be an official press release to announce who and what the partnership is in the very near future. That shows that they are very serious and it doesn’t seem to be the only partnership/deal they have on the table as I quote again:

“We are close to signing contracts with a very large household name organisation to provide blockchain services, and a sidechain coin, which will be a huge announcement when the NDA allows us to tell you all.”

And:

“Further partnerships are in the works with household names in the entertainment industry and we are in talks with multiple festivals and music events who are interested in making use of ADC for both reward and purchase paths.”

They are in talks with major players in the entertainment industry and even festival organisers so ADC could see real world use cases all over the place very soon.

As well as that they also worked with Feargal Sharkey the former Undertones singer recently with Salute Music Makers on this:

http://www.audiocoin.eu/?p=65470

Again giving ADC another real world use case already.

They just stuck up a new roadmap which you can see here:
http://www.audiocoin.eu/?p=65527

They are going to be giving their website and ANN thread a refresh in the very near future and as well as a full rebrand/relaunch by the sounds of things a little bit further down the line. They started a new sub Reddit a few days ago so are putting all that together to help with ADC’s visibility.

If you join their discord channel members of the dev team are always around to answer your questions and are extremely helpful.

Aurovine integration is also another real world use case for ADC and it is expected to be back up and running with the latest version hopefully next week:

“At the time of writing this update Aurovine is very close to coming back online with a new integration into ADC, future proofing it for all the development that we have in line for ADC as a currency. When this process is complete Aurovine will finally be back as a primary usecase for ADC.”

https://www.aurovine.com/

So why do I think ADC is a good investment?

Well it’s obvious to anyone at this point that ADC has already got some tried and tested real world use cases and has many more on the horizon which is a great thing for investors.

From my perspective as an investor at the time of writing it’s marketcap is only $30M which is laughably small in the crypto space so in my eyes could easily shoot to $150M which is a x5 in the short term. In the longer term as these deals and partnerships roll out it could go much higher. This brings me onto the tech side of things as they are moving to be a side chain of Blockpool which is a fork of ARK. This gives the actual tech powering ADC a very solid foundation and also means that staking/pooling will be available which is great for  investors giving them a steady ROI on their holdings.

A quick check on Twitter and you can see it is already gaining some attention in Japan which with my being crypto and music crazy could see a huge surge in momentum continues.

With all of that I don’t see how ADC can fail at this point and getting in on what is essentially the ground level before this very possible explosion of interest seems like a very safe bet for me and I’m not the only one:

https://cryptovest.com/news/cv-market-watch-audiocoin-comes-into-the-spotlight/

As others are also realising the potential returns in ADC as it continues to roll out updates and form new partnerships with industry leaders.

Already few coin try to take up the music direction and if I remember corect, hasn't any cross to 5$ yet.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin lightning network - is it coming this year and impact on alt on: January 13, 2018, 01:23:57 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/atomic-action-will-2018-year-cross-blockchain-swap/

Early examples of atomic swaps technology emerged in various stages in 2017, and while there's disagreement as to the timeline they'll be available to the public, some believe 2018 will be their year.

https://twitter.com/alexbosworth/status/948615162432446464

'The atomic age is coming, what cannot be swapped will be left behind."

https://btcmanager.com/torguard-accepts-lightning-network-payments/

TorGuard, an anonymous VPN and proxy service provider, publicized its acceptance of mainnet Lightning Network bitcoin payments.

c-lightning is not production ready. TorGuard will cover loss of funds when sending us LN payments. Testnet is so boring.

===================

Should we believe that it will come this year?

What will be the impact on ETH and all the smallest alt? I guess everyone will move their money from those to BTC?
Maybe with this could impact BTC.
