This as been a question running through my mind always. All ICOs have their ICO price and sales price. The ICO price is usually lesser than the market price (that is why people invest to make profit when its listed).
But this days when coin is listed the price drop drastically much more than ICO price which left the investors of no profit.
What could cause this drop when listed?

Well, that's so simple. There are more people that are dumping the coins than those people who wants to buy. It's just simple economic rule: law of supply and law of demand. |

Well, I think when the price of the Bitcoin starts rising the altcoins will follow. And I think the altcoins' price are somewhat dependent on the Bitcoin's price too. |

Bitcoin is on the run for some months now and it has significantly increased from $3700 bottom to over $13k but the price of altcoins is dragging and its not really following the trend. My question is that when will altcoins join the current rally in crypto market?

I joined crypto last year as a noob, then started learning how to trade & do airdrops. I kept learning until I decided to start trading myself. I got rekt on several occasions yet I kept the fire burning. I became tired of the hustle after buying into a coin which was delisted causing a massive dip, I had put in 5000$ in that coin and it turned 600$ overnight. Then I decided to take a bow.
I was encouraged by my mentor not to give up, I took it as a cock and bull story initially, I created a bitcointalk account later, scrolling through some forums just reading and learning from pro in crypto space. I decided to give it a second one try.
I added a few coins to my portfolio and abandoned them. Recently I got sacked from my job for no justifiable reason, then the only thing I could think about is crypto. I checked my portfolio yesterday, my 600$ then turned 7200$. Please always be patient. Buy into coins with great future , give it time, never panic sell. I hope you learn from my experience.
Well, that's what happened to me. Although it was a little different because I didn't got sacked on my regular job but still it was a great surprise that I saw my altcoin gets high in no time. So the lesson here is just to be patient at all times and don't give up especially when you know your altcoins has a good qualities on give you huge profits someday. |

I am not 100% sure about alt season will come , as per past trends that happened. but we can not guarantee and crypto market condition. it always fluctuate. i have invested on ziliqa , now very bad performing. its great project even-though

With the recent changes in BTC price, altcoin is getting weaker against BTC, so, this is a good time to pick and fill the bag. Another important part is, after BTC bullrun, once BTC get stable, altcoin follow the bullish trend.

Well, I'm not a fan of Bitcoin. But I think the time for Bitcoin has begun and I also think Ethereum will follow so I'll still hold my altcoins and wait for the Ethereum's price to rise up then I'll trade them all for Ethereum. |

I'm just ranting. I have participated in three consecutive ICO bounty campaigns: the first one was finished along with the ICO but then the ICO changed heads and then they stiffed the bounty participants and just completely ignored everyone. The second campaign was just blah, nothing. No communication, there's even no ICO scheduled to happen! The third one just completely shut down in one day, they removed their LinkedIn page too.
Things were indeed a lot different before the massive bullrun of 2017.
Anyone thinking of joining bounties, don't rely on them.
Well, not all bounty programs are like that. Maybe you lack on reviewing things about the bounties before you participated in. There's still bounties out there that also gives legit rewards. |

It's a very delicate venture investing in cryptocurrency. It's something one should be careful about and make a dedicated effort to research well before going into it. Most people just hear of successes made by others in crypto and because of that, they feel its an easy stuff and just dive into it.
One thing I can say is that cryptocurrency is a business for the strong in heart and determined. Also, patience, much of it is required when treading the part of cryptocurrency. Its best to start small, at least with established projects, Bitcoin and Ethereum before moving to upcoming projects like Veil, Harmony, etc.
Like I earlier said, research is of uttermost importance when choosing to invest in cryptocurrency.

It is really hard to trade especially if the market is so bearish. It's more safe to hold than to trade but if you know all of your stuffs when trading then you're good. Just be smart at all times and be prepared. |

The fact is its always a bad idea to dump all your tokens you get from bounties unless you promoted a not too good project ,I've seen few bounty projects that hunters dumped and later the token price surge in value for example Gowithme bounty ,so how many of you dump gowithme token? The token did 10x already
I think it is their own decision whether they dump it early or whether they hold their altcoins. You can't blame them that it was a bad idea for dumping it early. Maybe they needed the money or what. Just be grateful if you hold until the token's price increase 10 times and make huge profits from it. |

Gone are the days when hunters receive huge sums as rewards in fiat value when exchanged. There were cases of someone making as much as over $10000 in a single campaign and it happened that such coins have dumped drastically by now, so the hunter would have lost huge if he never exchanged and then it was the period of receive and dump quickly.
Right now the trend has changed, it is now the period of receive and hold, anyone that dumps will be dumping for a very cheap amount, may end up regretting when such tokens have pumped several amounts higher than how much was sold. Imagine working for three months and receiving $10 in token exchange value and dumping at such amount where it would be worth about $100 waiting for some months being favored with the impending bull run.
Well, at this moment it is is all about perfect timing on when you are going to sell your altcoins. If you worked hard for three months and your token's value is only $10 then it is better to hold it until it rises high. Just be patient and you'll be rewarded for your efforts. |

As per my experience , this is not fake bull run. this will be bull run , but do not expect 50000$ per BTC. BTC double ,means from 4000$ to 8000$ went in a short time , last 2 month it drastically moved up. Now BTC will pump , after wards all the money will go to the ALT coins, they will pump up soon too.  Do not invest without research , your money your dedication. AS per my research Ziliqa Nano is good for investment. Well, as of now the Bitcoin's price is at $10,000 and it is still continuously rising. I think it is really bull run and right now I'm preparing to sell at the right time for huge profits. |

I've been holding my altcoins for years now and waiting for bullrun to make a better come back but I'm yet to be confused that this is the real bullrun since many altcoins don't bother favouring from the bullrun,what is going on?  Just be patient and hold your altcoins. Bull run will surely happen again but no one can predict when. Its just that this market condition right now is at recovering stage. |
