241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] Yenten [YTN] on: October 28, 2017, 08:12:47 PM
Waiting for a pool so I can get some actual coins Sad

Even if there were a pool, wouldn't we need software that can mine this?  I don't know what "YescryptR16" is, is that the same as yescrypt generally?\

Edit if this is a new, cpu-only algo with no pre-mine, this thing is going to be HUGE.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] Yenten [YTN] on: October 28, 2017, 07:35:09 PM
CPU: I7,  0.26KH/S

is this normal Huh

How do you actually check that?  Is it in the QT?  I dunno how to use minerd so im using QT.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoW][Scrypt] Twitch Coin - Streamer Support Currency on: October 28, 2017, 07:33:51 PM
Lol did you make ANOTHER coin without a difficulty re-target?  Why do you keep doing that?

difficulty adjusts every 2016 blocks

Oh I see, thanks for the answer.

Good luck then, huge potential if you can close a deal with Twitch to let people pay TwitchCoin during live streams.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoW][Scrypt] Twitch Coin - Streamer Support Currency on: October 28, 2017, 07:28:41 PM
Lol did you make ANOTHER coin without a difficulty re-target?  Why do you keep doing that?

Edit: he answered my question, it apparently just has a slow re-target.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NO ICO] Monero Lite (XMRL) - Anonymous Transactions, Secure and Fast. on: October 28, 2017, 06:50:44 PM
How will be the money, collected during the ICO be spent?

Lambo, heli, bitches..

Personally I find this IMO interesting, but the whole setup pretty bad. Code zipped somewhere, nonworking pool, very bad communication with community - potential is lost. I don't see anything "lite" about this, except the approach of coin creators.
Wish there would be professional xmr like coin less resource hungry and more user friendly.

Next one plz.

Dev has a choice:

1) He can work hard to make a serious competitor to Monero.  This means (a) transparency: give the full list of accounts who signed up for the early-mining, with a full record of what they paid and how it will be spend, (b) engage the community seriously with more updates and ways to connect with dev and each other, and (c) give a serious try to coding out the problems and pool issues.  Make this coin to Monero what Litecoin became to Bitcoin.  Immortalize a place the history of cryptocurrencies, when they write in a hundred years about the legends that were born on this forum.

2) Take the few thousand dollars and run away, spend it on booze, wake up a few months from now just as poor and just as unfulfilled, and work on the next scam.

I think dev has shown potential for #1, but he needs to do a lot more to be transparent.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NO ICO] Monero Lite (XMRL) - Anonymous Transactions, Secure and Fast. on: October 26, 2017, 09:48:49 AM
Graymines operator: you need to reduce minimum payout.  1 XMRL may seem like a small number, but that represents 7 whole blocks.  This is the equivalent of setting a minimum of 42 Monero for payout on a Monero pool, it's just stupid.  Especially once our hash reaches 200+ KH/s, many miners may not even get a block in a day.  You should make the payout at 0.1, not 1.

This is one of the best devs I've seen in terms of patiently explaining things.  For those who didn't see, dev did a whole Windows MN tutorial on page 17, and answered several follow-up questions.  I was able to launch my first MN ever this way.  Thanks dev!
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PUZ] Puzcoin - Secure | POW CPU mining | MasterNode | Airdrop on: October 24, 2017, 08:59:14 AM
Dev account: "Last Active:   October 17, 2017, 10:12:46 AM"  Undecided

Anyone have news from any discord/slack/telegram or anything?  Is dev still working, just not focused on forums?
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PIONEER COIN (PCOIN) X11 SOCIAL COIN on: October 23, 2017, 06:19:01 PM
Yeah, i cant install the wallet, too. Seems like there are a lot of trojans in it...

First week of NOV we are starting PCOIN web wallet you can store your PCOINS there, We will resolve window wallet asap.
DEV project is dead, I do not see more info on Pcoin

it will not dead, very soon you will see web wallets, and in Exchange we are developing own Currency exchange , In December you will see some major development with Contributor program, right now we are on Phase 1, every body should mine and be ready for rock and roll. don't worried regarding developments, we are working behind the scene.

Good, glad to  hear focus is on development.  It doesn't hurt to say high every 1-2 days, otherwise people on forum get very cranky.  But if your focus is on development, we will all be happy in the long run.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [CHEE] Cheese Coin | Mining | PoW | PoS | |Swap coin for MICE | Airdrops on: October 23, 2017, 06:08:08 PM
Had a thought

1 MICE = 1 DOGE

15 BILLION MICE = 15 BILLION DOGE
15 BILLION MICE = 1 CHEEZE

Therefore,

1 CHEESE = 15 BILLION DOGE = over 14 (american) cents per cheese

Now, I think that's probably a bit of an overestimate because 1 Mice is worth less than 1 Doge, 1 Doge is just the minimum price.  But even if we say 1 Cheeze = 5 cents, that's still an amazing deal.

But of course we need to wait and see if there's anything to this project beyond a novelty swap.  Good luck!
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUXCoin — New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid Algorithm — Parallel Masternodes on: October 23, 2017, 08:22:01 AM
if you, guys want to know why you didn't get you staking coins just look here:
http://explorer.luxcore.io/address/LXSsNxTggw9FbupMFQZaF5sGFaZvKEGQWE
http://45.76.118.90/address/Lf4Ai5tNMwZF7rLnZrwXRLRfvLXK7vufnX
thats because dev's "don't staking"

LOL of course the devs are staking, even though they promised not to stake.  It's not enough that they want to dump their giant pre-mines, they also want to lie and take all the staking rewards first.  Greed truly knows no bounds.

The sad thing is, it's probably still worth it to mine this coin because most miners will be able to sell before dev dump, and it's the investors who will get screwed.

Edit: even if that's masternode instead of staking, they're still raking in all the good rewards while everyone else fights for scraps.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ISRO] Isroil (Scrypt) POW - POS Jewish crypto on: October 22, 2017, 08:29:07 PM
Looks like massive pre-mine (already at block 8000ish) and walletbuilders coin.  I'm sitting this one out because this seems like a potential scam, but good luck.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [CHEE] Cheese Coin | Mining | PoW | PoS | Airdrops on: October 22, 2017, 12:14:32 PM
Yeah I hate pre-mines as much as the next guy, but devs are saying pre-mine is for swap and then burn.  If devs aren't keeping for themselves, I don't see the problem.  That being said, I hope devs will be careful not to stake the pre-mine while we wait for swap.  Even if you're not keeping the gains, you should let the rest of us share PoS rewards because yours will be burned anyways.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEDUZA - Development for the management of crypto-technologies on: October 19, 2017, 01:58:45 PM
novaexchange remove the vote?

Yes, novaexchange no added our coin because of the technology of creating coins, so it was decided to do the swap of coins. This will happen very soon. And all the owners of Meduza will be able to exchange for the new coin

when for the swap

Hello we will soon let you know.

hi dev any news here?  I hope you will not increase block speed or reward on new algo.  Those of us who mined for long time on CryptoNight should be rewarded with a big share in the new chain, because we support you from the start.  If you make rewards bigger and faster on new chain, then you will be hurting your oldest supporters.  Please consider this, thanks!
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XUN] UltraNote Release TODAY instead of 20th of October 2017 \o/ on: October 13, 2017, 12:55:55 AM
I have just gotten word from one of our devs that we might be able to restart the blockchain. I’ll keep you guys informed.

Guys honestly, I was pitchforking against devs with the rest of you, but he already said he will consider restarting.  At this point, let's just wait for an update.  If they restart, let's support the coin and make it greater than XDN.  If they don't, then continue shitposting and let 6 people mine it until it gets listed on CoinMarkets, bid down to 0.752 sats, and dies.

But let's give them a break while they decide, eh?  If they do the right thing it will show a dev team that really went against everything they wanted for the good of the community.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XUN] UltraNote Release TODAY instead of 20th of October 2017 \o/ on: October 12, 2017, 10:46:58 PM
Things that worry me:

1) It's not that you don't want to re-launch.  It's that you're saying you can't.  You have an 8-member dev team that doesn't know how to re-launch a coin?  This suggests to me you don't have any dev plans for it because you don't know how to run a coin.  If you knew how to run it, you'd know how to re-launch it.

2) You haven't answered the clear evidence that you mined up to block 454 well before today.  So whoever "ninja mined" this coin may have started at 455, but why did you lie about mining blocks 1-454?  If you want a pre-mine, take one.  But don't take 454 blocks then lie to our faces.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Explanation of XUN’s unexpected early launch. on: October 12, 2017, 10:03:52 PM
Mining pool has no ports listed.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUXCoin — New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid Algorithm — Parallel Masternodes on: October 11, 2017, 09:36:56 PM
Looks like another coin designed to make dev instarich in the first week of exchange, so tired of that.

But why there is a 150GH/s network for shitcoin?
I will try to keep my rig there for a while as the most i can lose in my electricity is like 30EUR/month with 650W draw from the wall and another 150$ of coins value that i will not mine in this time. But if dev will come with all the news (roadmap, whitepaper etc.) and coin will go to the moon then i will not lose my 30EUR and get some value out of LUX Smiley

I think you answer your own question.  There is 150 GH/s for a shitcoin because in crypto, people always want to try, just in case it works out.

Could LUX work out?  Maybe, of course there is a chance.  But when we look at 3 million dev pre-mine, dev staking the pre-mins for huge returns, and dev moving his coins around a lot, and the sheer difficulty of mining with long (3 min) blocktimes, you have to ask yourself - what are the chances this project will be worth more than $1/Lux?  You need a market cap of over $6 million USD after one year for that to happen.  I think the chances are very very low.

So I think this is a riskier gamble.  But everyone is allowed to gamble their hash.  As long as you know the risks, then roll the dice.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NO ICO] Monero Lite (XMRL) - Anonymous Transactions, Secure and Fast. on: October 10, 2017, 10:31:46 PM
•No Pre-Mining ?
Blockchain Height: 4579
we were running tests on the network, we get only 150 coins that will be to finance the project. (common mining)

What is the block reward? 150 coins per block?
currently the reward for finding a block is 0.141600 XMRL.

the tendency is that it is more difficult to find a block if compared to Monero, so we are confident that it can be worth more than the monero itself, obviously if there is a public adherence to the project.

Here are the problems.  I'm trying to give you honest feedback, not FUD.  This is why you feel like a bad project:

1) You admit to a 4000+ block pre-mine, but you insist on leaving "No Pre-Mining" in your ANN.  This is dishonest.  What does it matter whether you got the coins from the genesis block or from mining yourself? Does that affect the economics of the coin AT ALL?  No.

2) You claim "No ICO", but you are collecting money in return for early access to coins.  Even if the early access is mining-based, not a token distribution, this is still an ICO.  Does the fact that you are selling rights to mine instead of coins themselves affect the economics AT ALL?  no.

3) You keep treating the number of coins as a relevant unit of measure.  The number of coins does not define the value of a project.  If you think less coins = more value, why not just make a project with one coin?  Then as long as you have $90 invested, boom, you are priced higher than Monero.  The reason this is stupid is that value is defined by MARKET CAP, not PRICE.  So you can make your block reward as small as you want, but your PROJECT is what needs high value, not individual coins.  You seem to fail to understand this with your pre-mine too.  The level of pre-mine is defined by how many blocks it is, not how many coins it is.  Otherwise, you could make the block reward 0.00000001, pre-mine 100 MILLION blocks, and then say "we only pre-mined one coin".  Do you see how stupid it is to think in terms of # of coins, and not in terms of # of blocks and total supply?

Edit: In fact, you said it's harder to find a block than in Monero.  So you have pre-mined over 4000 of something that will be very hard for others to catch up to.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XSH] TOR/i2p integrated SHIELD Fast transaction times, fully anonymous. on: October 10, 2017, 09:57:17 PM
Hey everyone,

we just wanted to announce that we're working on multiple Medium post that will explain our project a little better and a article about PoS coming soon!
We're also talking to some exchanges at the moment and could be added any day now (Can't say much more sorry!)

Electrum wallets will also be fixed before Friday but getting integrated into exchanges will get some priority.

The SHIELD team.

get your wallets for users and pools sorted out first. this entire project is barely alive and you are already throwing around exchanges.

Our pool operator has been trying to get a scrypt pool working but compiling always fails. this guy has added so many coins without a issue but SHIELD just keeps on failing and failing.

sorry if I am being harsh but it's just kinda urgh

I just want to echo this.  This project has SO much potential.  The lack of a pre-mine is incredible, and the vision you've laid out is quite spectacular.  Obviously we need to see you deliver on these promises, but in my opinion this is far from a shitcoin.

That being said, part of what's amazing about this is you're trying to pull off multi-algo.  It's not easy.  It's what makes your coin great, but it's hard to do.  So you must get those basics right before rushing to exchanges.  Get all 5 chains working, get all 5 algos each a pool, and get a wallet going for Windows (I think Linux is enough for a launch/mining, but for exchanges you need buyers, which means you need Windows users).

Please, please get this core development right.  You have worked hard to open an opportunity for yourselves here.  Don't turn it into a cash grab for miners to quickly dump an underdeveloped coin.
