I shut down winminer on the rig I was running today. I've observed a couple of times that every time the program updates, a miner keeps running on both of the GPU's -- Even though the miner was "stopped" it kept mining away. My last post a few days ago was when the balance was $6.25 when it should have been near $12 -- now it sits after another ~3 days of mining at $13.45 The thing that really bothers me was the fact the miner kept mining for something after I stopped it. I also noticed there were 3 instances of Winminer icons in taskbar during this same timeframe. I'll wait a long while before I return to using this product, perhaps after a major version release if I go back. Yes! Totally agreed.

New to the forum & mining in general, I am in the process of building my 1st rig and have been experimenting with my GPU for the past couple weeks... while mining my closest pool with the vertcoin 1 click miner I have gotten absolutely nothing in nearly 24 hours. This is what I see on my stats on the pool.. Wallet Hashrate rejected difficulty time to share predicted payout predicted daily 3BM1DJw1CvoGhVtsVARqz6EhARhSfrKbK6 165.39 MH/s 10.69 MH/s (6.46%) 0.000 (0) 0h 0m 0s no shares yet 2.30134172 VTC http://45.76.249.234:9171/static/ is the pool address, Could it possibly just take a long time before I get anything? I'm one of the only ones with no difficulty, time to share, etc. Any input would be helpful, I feel like a bit of a moron but I have gotten normal mining pools to work just fine... just not this one. iMis I'm in the exact same boat as you. I ran at 156 MH/s for nearly 14 H and I have absolutely nothing to show for it. Very crappy experience

The price dropped so fast, but I guess at least it did moon even for a bit and that's something most altcoins aren't doing right now.
You aren't kidding. What in the hell happened?

Someone reported their display went crazy while running winminer. I can report running 2x GTX 1070 that it has gone nutty running 1.95.
That was me! Glad I'm not alone. I'm not re-opening until there's another update.

TRexMcStubyArms you might want to give givemecoins a crack as a pool. Also here's my config that I'm running for my 1070 in case you're interested: ccminer-x64 -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://ftc-neo.give-me-coins.com:3366 -u username -p x obviously replace the username and password with the worker stats from the pool account. I'm also overclocking my 1070 using MSI afterburner - Core clock +107, Mem Clock +845 (actually very stable which surprised me). From this I'm getting about 785 kH/s. My 1060 in comparison I get about 360 kH/s so less than half that. Red-My results were from givemecoins. I'm using the identical batch file overclocking with MSI afterburner. This makes me sad...I'll bumb up my core clock. I normally see 2.84 M/H on there as I am with (4) MSI 1070s

Whats the best mining software for this coin with nvidia 1060 cant seem to find any working miner???
I use CCminer with my 1070s Hi, How many FTC do you earn with one GTX 1070 on 12h ? OK I have an answer! In 81 minutes I mined 0.69 coins. Divide that out by 4 cards convert to 12 hours and bam, you get 1.53 coins/card/12 hours. Redbackbone I have absolutely no idea how you're getting almost 3X as many as me. Either my pool sucks or your numbers are off

Having trouble finding a pool that wills stay connected reliably.
altminer.net disconnects and then will not reconnect. dutch pool says they are not making payouts. Aikapool appears to have dropped off to very small hashrates, making it not really much of a pool.
Looks like I go back to mining ETH...
Join http://tzcpool.xyz it's solid. Agreed

Does anyone else's WinMiner make their screens go crazy?
You sure they aren't artifacts from your GPU overheating. Uhhh no. My GPU temps are just fine. I've seen other wonky screen issues but were gone until I started using this and BetterHash.

I have tried winminer for about a day now. It keeps locking up on all my computers. Basically wasted a few hours while sleeping last night.
Same here. GPU fans running but nothing being made. Every time I opened it the program would lock up and turn my screen into a pixelated confetti. Frankly I like this concept a lot more than NiceHash so I hope this all gets sorted out.

I guess the only good news is Im only out 5 days worth of mining revenue? The climb in bitcoin certainly offsets that but, man, thats a kick in the teeth.
Ditto All my mining work is gone too

I use CCminer with my 1070s Hi, How many FTC do you earn with one GTX 1070 on 12h ? That's a good question. I'll run FTC tonight for 24H and will let you know what the average is for 12H.

Correct which somewhat defeats the purpose of Maximum Power Point Tracking. The battery will store the energy that otherwise just turns into heat. If you're not utilizing the potential of the panel at all times, you're wrecking your ROI versus what you get off the grid.
Also if you're doing this off a 12 volt panel and using it at a 12v power supply, you're artificially dragging the voltage down using the MPPT (unless your input tolerance is way higher). This makes cabling costs and voltage drop an even bigger factor and a full stop for anything larger than 1000W.
If you make sure the load is always at least what the solar panels are capable of producing, then the full power generated by the panels can be used. The remainder will be pulled from the mains. You can even have just some of the panels supplying the hacked PSUs with the remainder supplying an inverter as is usually done. In that configuration, the required inverter will be quite a bit smaller, since those aren't cheap. (The idea of hacking a hybrid car inverter into a solar inverter/rectifier is an interesting one since those are dirt cheap for their power capacity, but requires a very expert level of electronics knowledge.) Man if you have the time, knowledge, and parts to make a hybrid inverter into a solar one, more power to you! Yea that's totally a pun, but truly a very fun idea.
