101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange HACKED, $500,000,000+ of XEM stolen? (Japan) on: January 27, 2018, 12:31:09 AM
I don't get why hackers do this shit.  If we want to destroy the trust of crypto which I'd have to imagine most of them are FOR, why do something as short sighted and selfish as this?  Maybe it was NK? Huh

How naive are you? Hackers don't care about the future or trust of crypto; they care about their profit.

I doubt if the wallet was frozen, all the reports I have seen is that the NEM was already sent to an outside wallet. Was probably an inside job by someone paid off. I doubt if will affect the long-term price of NEM. BTC has experienced many hacks in the past and the price declines have always been temporary.

I'm not naive; it's a duh that even intelligent people can be selfish assholes.  It's stupid as hell and annoying when the overall digital community is pushing for mainstream adoption and this happens, especially from people who must be fairly intelligent.  It's completely counter intuitive and shortsighted to screw something up like this.

And yet Coinexchange.io keeps people in the light of what's going on via multiple channels.  That's how you do business and keep trust.

This is becoming a straight of case of theft; if even they aren't.  They are withholding peoples money, how don't people get this?

Coinexchange is back up at Coinexchange2.com

Even better.  Props CE

Guys-

Started mining TZC again on the official pool using KlausT CCminer and I'm seeing an error I've never seen before.  Sometimes it pops up once and sometimes hundreds of them scroll by but always on my second GPU.  Any thoughts on:

GPU #2: Nonce $67F4CD9A (the nonce # change's obviously) does not validate on CPU!

I've also seen it occur on GBX mining as well.

Try hsrminer, it's even faster and stable for me

https://github.com/palginpav/hsrminer/tree/master/Neoscrypt%20algo/Windows

I'll check that out, thanks!

I bought a fair amount of this coin out on a whim and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with its functional performance.  It's extremely fast and cheap to transfer.  Keep it up guys...looking forward to this moving forward.

Thank you devs.

I just bought thousands of TZC on CM within hours of it going dark, so that's always neato.  Roll Eyes  If CM and Crypt are both down, where the hell are these coins being exchanged?
110  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinsMarkets.com IS DOWN! on: January 11, 2018, 03:09:36 PM
I think people need to learn to calm down. As soon as something happens everyone panics and then starts spreading negativity. People who have been around in the crypto world know that wallets crash, servers are rebuilt, sites go down and things of that nature. These are electronic/mechanical devices and can go bad anytime. Just because something is down, doesn't mean its fake.

Please hold on to your conclusions and fake accusations. The site will be back up soon and the people who are spreading false news are the ones who will fill their bags for many will want to withdraw their funds and will sell cheap. These are all tricks of crypto world and I hope people open their eyes and realize what's happening.

Do not pay attention to any negative comments about "coinsmarkets" ,  there is motive behind this and I am sure you all know what it is.

I think "calm down" is 100% the INCORRECT repsonse when 100% lose control over your funds.  The correct response should be, "users we will give you 2 weeks to withdraw all your coins so we can prepare for an upgrade.  Rather than lock you out our system without warning and locking your wallets, this ensures we have your best interest in hand and sincere about upgrading our systems to provide a better user experience"

Novaexchange did the same thing and guess what, they "calm" warning left every in a "calm exit" and nothing to so called FUD about.  On the other hands, Coinsexchange basically gave us the middle finger.  And for that why would someone ever be calm about getting the middle finger after losing your investment.

Maybe I'm tool old school

+5  Could you imagine a bank shutting down ATMs and checking account withdrawals without warning users first?

Between Cryptopia and CM being in the dumps, it's pretty hard to trade this coin!

the Groestlcoin Easyminer 2018 cant be downloaded because window explorer detects a virus. how do you go on fixing it?

Pretty much every miner is considered a virus.

So how do I bypass it?

They are almost entirely false positives.  You need to mark it safe or as an exception within your antivirus program and make sure it doesn't get quarantined or outright deleted.  I had that issue often with MalwareBytes and Webroot when I first started.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Congestion on: January 08, 2018, 02:23:35 AM
There are lots of people who ran into the same problem at cex.io. Just give a visit to reddit.com/r/cexio and take a look at the front page. I am also on the same boat. Hope this will get fixed ASAP. I think the problem is the exchange websites being greedy and setting low gas fees which prolong the transactions.

Do any of you know when an ETH transaction gets cancelled? Because right now it does not even show up on the blockchain. Thx.

My issue right now is Bittrex and Nanopool, places I've NEVER had issues with before.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Congestion on: January 08, 2018, 02:22:30 AM
I've been having great success with ZEC, LTC, MUSIC, FTC, and TZC.  But that doesn't help me when most of the exchanges only work with BTC/LTC/and ETH.  I hope someday there will be many more pairs or a simplified way of exchanging.

If I had to guess, a lot of the BTC and ETH issues probably stem from fiat coming and going from CB/GDAX.
116  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinsMarkets.com IS DOWN! on: January 08, 2018, 02:14:06 AM
I see on the CoinsMarkets Tweeter, and they get some massive connections, the servers were overloaded.

Please, don't FUD !!!

CoinsMarkets is a new exchange with great future !!!

It would sure be nice if they did an email blast with some updates.  This is what happens when you don't communicate with your customers.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Congestion on: January 08, 2018, 12:05:17 AM
Anyone else having issues moving ETH?  I'm still waiting for .1 from Nanopool from 3 AM this morning (4:30 PM now) and I withdrew another .1 from a server at 9 PM last night.  Both are still pending  Angry

There is nothing wrong with the eth network right now, it is congested, but it is normal anyways.

What can you expect from an altcoin that increased by more than 40% in just a week? Obviously that more people are now using the network, the usage is increasing too.

At some point, it is going to happen the same as it is happening on the bitcoin blockchain right now, and it is just starting.

Huge fees, large waitings, and so on.

I didn't think there was anything seriously wrong with the network, I'm just not used to seeing take nearly 24 hours to move it.  As I'm sure you already know, a lot can happen in 24 hours in this game.  The higher the price goes, the more issues we're going to have Sad

Glad it's just not me

Are you seeing any hash improvements using the all in one say over CCminer?

For Nvidia this actually uses CCminer in the background. The easyminer is more of a GUI, it makes setup and everything easier, but it's not a completely new miner.

Good to know.   In that case I'll just stick with CCMiner then.
