You must have received the ascics from BFL by now. How about anj update on what is going on with our investment?
[/quote]

3 BFL singles were received and have been mining away.

The remaining equipment is about 70% liquidated, the remaining is in process.

I expect to make a liquidation payment on everything but the BFL equipment in October.

[/quote]

Thankyou for the update. Can we reasonably expect that there will soon be dividends from the "3 BFL singles that have been mining away"?

hi YD,

Thx for update.  What is the July 7 BLF payday?

Have you tried scrypt mining at multipool.in or middlecoin?

once you have inventory done maybe Diablo will finally auction our stake, which could help you find the right price for the rest.

For the ASICS I lined up for BTCMC, the paydate is July 7th.

Until they start shipping that pay-date, we are stuck in the mud.

So expected to be wound up "in the next month or two" & reg it is 751 BTC that went to Bitcoinica.

I only heard a rumor that it was 80 btc but I am astonished so much was tied up there. so the 751 if recovered would give us some roi. If anyone involved in the bitcoinica legal battle with mtgox could give us an idea of the realistic prospect for recovery -that would be helpfull

The amount was disclosed months ago on the original thread.

It completely sucks, and is the only reason the company is not profitable at this point (in $ terms)

Mt Gox is our enemy.  They refuse to help the liquidators in any fashion, and obstruct all attempts at recovery.  Mark Kerpeles is a piece of shit who wants to confiscate the thousands of BTC for his own greedy desires.

Apparently Mt Gox had $5 million seized by US regulators and may be in no position to facilitate bitcoinica liquidators.

PLEASE, please distribute the btc from the mining operations up until the time it became unprofitable, meagre as that may be, to we the shareholders. If it is no longer being used to maximize shareholder profit, or for continuing operations, why not distribute it to the shareholders so that they can put it their own uses? Why must we wait months for the liquidation of every last asset before you can distribute btc on hand?

I don't think that is a bad suggestion at all.  Maybe even 60% of what I think the total amount will be, then settle the final balance once everything is sold off.

Do any other shareholders have an opinion on this?

I believe it to be trying to make the best of a bad situation.

Waiting on BFL gear.

I am considering liquidating BTCMC and closing down.  The diff growth rate is going to make keeping up a losing prospect, even with significant ASIC resources.

A bummer for sure.  Losing the barriers to entry that GPU mining gave us really screwed the business model.

Some mistakes have been made (understandably), some bad luck has been encountered, and so my investments havw not paid off as I had hoped. At least I did not invest with any Pirates
 Grin

Would you be so kind as to give a snapshot of the current situation (order dates for BFL ascics, btc and hardware on hand, etc.) so that I can learn from the situation and perhaps be a better investor in the future.

Thanks for giving it a try. Too bad our dreams were not realized.

108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Things are happening behind closed doors, very important for Bitcoin things. on: March 22, 2013, 06:26:41 AM
For what is worth. Based on some information that is not public and that I have no intention to disclose, things are happening behind closed doors. There are some serious projects are being underwritten and financed and negotiated right now. If these projects come to fruition, which is likely to happen within 2 years time frame, the accessibility of Bitcoin investments to general public will be ubiquitous.

Anyone parting with his coins at current silly prices is going to deeply regret it by year 2015.

That's a pretty fucking sleezy post.  It adds absolutely  nothing to the consciousness of the situation, there is no information, only blarney and it is a blatant attempt at manipulating the price for a quick gain. I'm embarrassed for you.

And I'm a bitcoin enthusiast!

You appear to be a manipulating opportunist.

Here are the October numbers:

Income statement for Oct, 2012

Sale of equip.            -
Expenses                  -184.50
Dividends paid           -150.00  (held in trust)
Net income                 295.591

Could you please supply investors with January and February income statements. It would be nice to know what's going on.
110  Economy / Securities / Re: Silver/BTC Price Alert -- Why every investor needs TU.SILVER now! on: February 12, 2013, 04:26:16 AM
Hello, I'd like to issue an emergency price alert. Based on my analysis I've detected a top/reversal in progress.

I also believe an excellent way to play this trade is to buy SILVER -- either physical silver, or a fund like SaltySpitoon's LTC-SILVER, or my own TU.SILVER on BitFunder.

Please read this report.
http://kongzi.ca/silver/20130212TSR.pdf

I urge you to take advantage of this free information. Please let me know what you think of this analysis. I've been watching this situation for a while and it has begin to concern me greatly. This can't go on forever. I believe when the reversal hits it will be violent and without mercy.

Quote from the report:
"In the background we see the rise of ASICS and a massive influx of new BTC, which will almost certainly be sold and are very likely to drive the price down"

What is that? The influx of new bitcoin will remain approximately constant at 25 per 10 minutes until it drops to 12.5 per 10 minutes.
111  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: February 11, 2013, 09:23:12 PM
Balance Sheet: Feb 1, 2013

Short-term Assets
Cash:  BTC 815.51 (majority locked in Bitcoinica liquidation)
  Accounts receivable:  0
  ASIC pre-orders, not delivered:  $8,000
  Total Short-term Assets:  BTC 815.51 + $8,000

Long-term Assets
  Capital Assets (mining equipment):  $25,000

Total assets
  Total Short-term assets:  BTC 815.51
  Total Long-term Assets:  $25,000
  Total Assets:  $25,000 + BTC 815.51 + $8,000 (not in hand)

Would you please break down
"Cash:  BTC 815.51 (majority locked in Bitcoinica liquidation)"

into two lines, "cash locked in Bitcoinica liquidation" and "free cash"

I would find that much more informative.

I would appreciate some update.

So, for anyone reading this who has gotten a double payment, the return address is 1BgPRMk4uaJrohM1T9Cn4Hd9pHaEL6FH5j

It would be better to return the coins without me having to chase you for them.

No need to chase me Nefario. Since I have now received the missing dividends from my assets on GLBSE and can thus confirm that the asset holders have my correct information, I am now willing to return to you the overpayment. Please pm me with an individual bitcoin address to which to send the overpayment (less the 10% which you withheld).

115  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: January 07, 2013, 11:20:23 PM
"Once we hit 80%, accrued dividends will be paid out and the claims process will be closed."

'I have verified 80%+ of shareholders.  On February 1st, the dividends held in trust (150 BTC) will be paid out to verified shareholders to the address submitted with their claims."

So now it's wait another 3 weeks, doesn't really surprise me any more how this is panning out & I still think that Nov & subsequent dividends should not be marked as suspended & zero but actually shown as owed & put aside in a specific public address rather than just deciding unilaterally to hang on to them after they became due.

What is God's name are you talking about?  There were no subsequent dividends after Nov.  Should i just create some?

Dividends have always been on the first of the month, and that will not change.

Oct 2012 due 1st Nov 2012, we have to wait 3 more weeks for, even though you said it would be paid when 80% of the claims were in & they are.
Nov 2012 due 1st Dec 2012, but was cancelled on the 6th Dec without any consultation or vote by the share owners.
Dec 2012 would have been due 1st Jan 2013, but also now just being held by you & not paid out without stating how much was earned/due.

Jan 2013 due 1st Feb 2013, you plan to just hang on to that too it seems.

so it goes...

Edit: the only reason there are no subsequent dividends after Nov is that you just decided unilaterally to stop paying any & instead to hold on to any btc that have been earned.

I own the super majority of the shares.  I do not need to consult or take a vote to make any decision, as I whichever way I vote wins.

The earnings are being retained by the company in order to make the best decision in regards to ASIC and other investment.  Paying out further dividends at this point would be foolish as it would drain capital that could potentially be better utilized once the ASIC picture clears up.

I agree on both points (it is the best decision - and you have the majority vote anyway).

Income statement for Nov, 2012

Production (in BTC)   +539.99
Sale of equip.            -
Expenses                  -196.50
Dividends paid           -0 (suspended until further notice)
Net income                 343.49

Thanks. How about a Balance Sheet?
117  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: December 06, 2012, 07:54:45 PM
Hey all,

I have received a list from Nefario that purports to show all holders of BTCMC.  However, the e-mail has a caveat saying updates may follow, so I am treating it as preliminary.

In order to verify the authenticity of the list, I am instituting a simple process.  For those persons claiming to be a shareholder, you must do 3 things:

1)  Send an e-mail to bitcorpmining@gmail.com from THE E-MAIL ADDRESS YOU USED TO REGISTER FOR GLBSE.
2)  In this e-mail, you must provide the withdrawal address used at GLBSE.
3)  In this e-mail, you must list the amount of shares you are claiming to own

All 3 of these items are mandatory.  No exceptions.

Other items:

- We will be providing November results later on today.
- We are discontinuing dividends as of the Oct. payment to conserve our resources for potential ASIC purchases.
- There is no plan to re-list shares due to the black cloud hanging over the Bitcoin world legally.

Please make clear what is meant by: 2) "withdrawal address used at GLBSE"

I would hate to inadvertently send the wrong info

118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Automatically sweep arriving funds from one or more private keys? on: November 20, 2012, 11:02:23 PM
Assume I have a private key or collection of private keys, and I am afraid they have been compromised by a third party.  I am also expecting payments at an unknown time in the future to arrive to one or more of the private keys.

Is there any trustworthy software or website that automatically forwards any bitcoins received at one or more addresses to a new address, as soon as possible?  Perhaps even by increasing the fee a bit beyond the normal 0.0005 BTC to have a better chance at pushing through a transaction before someone else did?

It must be possible.  I had redeemed some old bitbills by sweeping the private key to my blockchain.info wallet. I then much later tried to temporarily store some coin from my bitcoinspinner app on my android by sending to that private key while I rebooted my phone. Unfortunately, the coin was instantly swept out of that private key at my blockchain.info wallet to some unknown address, and I lost my coin! Another bitter lesson.
