Can someone post a link to the person who is promoting this coin? We need a youtube video of the CEO being interviewed, and meeting other well known figures in crypto - this ensures it is less of a scam

WARNING DO NOT SEND ANY BTS TO BEOS THAT YOU WANT BACK BEFORE RAINFALL STARTS ON APRIL 9TH. YOU'LL NEED SOME OF THAT RAINFALL TO POWER THE RETURN PATH.

Thanks for the fair warning, id rather keep my BTS Cheesy Why in the world i would want to exchange BTS for your worthless BEOS  Tongue

an old scammer trick in the book, Only a real fool would fall for this..

It is NOT an exchange of one coin for another. You merely stake BTS for the length of time you want them to be "rained upon" with the new BEOS token. When you are tired of receiving free token, unstake your BTS and you are free to use them any way you want again. You still retain all of the BEOS tokens that you accumulated while staking your BTS even after you unstake the bitshares.

Also, keep in mind that this is NOT an ICO. The opportunity was paid for and this middle blockchain between EOS and bitshares, BEOS, was released through private funding from VERY LONG TERM bitshares holders in order to bring a new level of opportunity to the bitshares platform (and therefore more value for bitshares tokens).

Since BEOS is not trying to raise funds through a token offering, if you don't want to participate, then don't. All the more raindrops for us who do participate to catch for ourselves. We thank you LoL

Of all the ico's floating around the crypto scene these days, VIVA and the VIVAconomy are what excite me the most. The vision is vast and sweeping, but an incremental and achievable road map appears to be already in place. I am a buy, hold, and support type of investor, not a day trader. Many of the pieces for the vision are already in place. The core team members have been working together for years and share common values. So the potential for conflict appears small. They have been extremely responsive to all inquiries on their chat: https://chat.vivaco.in

This project is for me!

75% of coins distributed in a few months

And another one, throwing around false numbers and showing that he has no idea what he's talking about. When you want to argue against something, use facts that withstand a short check (in this example: a look at the inflation rate.)

Yeah, and no one sees a problem with a fucking whitepaper earning $9 THOUSAND imaginary shit-dollars because someone upvotes it?

I could tell you that you're missing some more facts again, but i assume you don't care anyway.

He seems to think that vulgarity and crude language can somehow take the place of reasoned argument. Unfortunately, for some it does.

I saw this in bitshares are you guys related to BTS?

From the OP:

Steemit is a new social media platform built on the Steem blockchain where the community rewards individuals for their posts, comments and votes, co-founded by Ned Scott, CEO, and Daniel Larimer, CTO of Steemit and founder of Bitshares.

I have been involved with cryptocurrency since 2011. I was a very early contributor to such projects as Trezor and Armory. I attended the first London Bitcoin Conference in 2012 and I still have my original Bitcoin Magazine Issue 1 (May 2012) (now selling for $149).

steemit.io and steemit.com is the number one most exciting and most likely to go viral blockchain project that I have ever seen.

Hey, no more self-moderated thread, now you can't delete my post:

I guess you'll probably lock this thread in the not too distant future and move on to the fourth or fifth thread for this, right? Gotta keep the information spread out and difficult to cobble together how you launched this "currency" I guess. Maybe you should try changing the name too, I hear that's a common tactic of worthless penny stocks and crypto snake oil to lure in more sucker...err...investors.

Are you a juvenile delinquent by any chance?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STEEM][POW] - NO IPO | NO PREMINE | NO INSTAMINE (relaunch) on: April 24, 2016, 11:55:43 PM
...
Everyone had a fair chance to mine this. Just because a lot of people could not figure out how to do it, does not mean they could not have with a little work. All it took was reading the thread.

Didn't the dev(s) basically admit that the whole reason they relaunched was because they were unsuccessful in instamining to the degree that they intended to avoid an IPO (for legal reasons)?

No, they did not admit that, though it was alleged.

You are starting to lose your credibility here smooth. Everything was managed so most people can not mine from the early high reward blocks, most coins were instamined by the developers with no proper instructions on how to mine, without a windows wallets oh and POW is over aswell (1 block out of 21 is literally nothing). Staking favors the early bigger holders aswell. Feels like you are supporting the new DASH.

I never disagreed that it was managed to achieve the outcome they wanted (controlling most of the coins). I simply took issue with the specific claim they admitted relaunching for that reason. I never saw such an admission.

Quote
Oh.... wait, now that you are a big holder here it's suddenly ok. I'm happy you show your true colors, RIP altcoin police.

Hold on there, I never said it was 'okay', but the reality is that I solved the puzzle they presented and got some coins for doing so. I don't see how was my problem how the devs decided to launch their coin as a puzzle, or that some other people didn't solve it. I never said it was fair either, and, no, I don't like the 'NO PREMINE, NO INSTAMINE' stuff in the header. I already said it should be replaced with 'NO FAIRNESS'.

I appreciate your wording, though, stating that I am "starting" to lose my credibility. Thank you for the endorsement. It'd be a while before my credibility is much affected by having mined a coin and correcting the facts on what the devs admitted or didn't admit.

You are clearly supporting a project where the devs control 80% of the supply with using certain unfair methods and their holding is the biggest staking holding aswell. Not sure how you have to face to support this after all the altcoin police level shit you pulled of in certain threads, specially DASH's.

Nothing you bullshit will help you out on this.

Traditionally when entrepreneurs start a new venture, they initially own 100% of the equity, not 80%, and then they sell off portions of this equity to fund development of their vision. The devs behind STEEM have been up front about what they are doing and have said that their stake will go down to 20% as they do giveaways to attract users and development.

The fact that STEEM developers have hit upon "mining" as a way to legally acquire development funds for their venture seems to offend the purists - AS THEY KNEW IT WOULD. The rest of us can surely look beyond this to what they are setting out to accomplish. Mining is a tool, not a sacred right.
