What are your thoughts on: BitcoinX [Futures]
What do you mean about this? is this about the futures contract of bitcoin or just another bitcoin fork. if this related to another bitcoin fork of the bitcoin and it should be useless. How so many unknown developers are making a useless fork to the bitcoin just to gain a lot of money through the traders. But sounds like you are talking about the bitcoinx fork coin. It seems like two uninformed questions rolled in to one so let's try answer both. Futures are generally regarded as a good thing for bitcoin as it bring more interest and exposure, although there is some debate because they never actually use bitcoin whatsoever and so how will that really have an influence on the price, and what influence will that be. BTCx as I understand does not currently have futures but can be a very worthwhile coin out of the many not so good bitcoin alternatives. |

Will it be $100 in 2018?
$100 is too much, the utility people get from it isn't great enough to justify such a cost, think about how big binance is already and assume that the token can only grow in line with the exchange. That would mean it's probably got a limit of about $10. |

MANA on bittrex is more gambling than trading, but it's looking like it might go a bit. Percentage wise, huge gains or possible huge losses ..
You're right, I think with gains like the ones we've seen there's bound to be some pump and dump behind it and it's like playing with fire. There was a 30% difference in the price between liquid and bittrex, a arbitragers dream! |

I do not understand what is happening?? Altcoins bleeding in the market cap, does it really because of the Bitcoin that keeps pumping? I'm going crazy..
It's because bitcoin is raising so the value against bitcoin is down while it maintains the value against fiat. This is not the first time it happens and as you can see there still a lot of alt that's green in coinmarketcap. We've seen worse when bitcoin crash and all coins in the market is red. Well actually I think you'll find a lot will lose some value against fiat, especially the bigger currencies is more money is in the which will then flow out and in to bitcoin. But yes it's important for alt coin investors to not get caught up on btc price and consider fiat price also. |

Xlm become Xrp version 2. That's why it rise too much, bitcoin rise make investors to Xlm have double profit.  This is the one link I have yet to fully uncover or understand, why is it that there seems to be a link between bitcoins success and lumens success? Every time bitcoin is up it seems lumens are up also. |

Lumen has had a great second half to the year and it seems to very closely mirror bitcoins price in that when bitcoin is up, lumens is up. Based on that I would say that it's in for another great year and we could see it reach $1 before long.

I deposited to Bittrex without reading carefully about the withdrawn rule (verification issue), so now I cannot withdraw my money. So I decided to use this amount as a long-term investment and don't care about it until everything is ok.
So now, I want to choose a coin to put money in. Any suggestion? Which coin do you think it's potential? Thank you for your sharing.
I don't really understand your logic. If you can't get verified now that won't change in the future so what's the point in putting your investment in to something that will one day be worth even more money and make you even more annoyed when you can't access it? |

IOTA is awesome. It deserves 3rd place by market cap and I think it's gonna get there very soon. It had a gain very similar to Bitcoin. IOTA price went up 10x this year:  While I agree a lot of what IOTA promises is very awesome I'm still a little skeptical and concerned by its size given it's still a new technlogy. I think that we will probably see the price climb down a little in the next weeks and it won't challenge bitcoin cash in number 3 spot for quite some time. |

Everyone has a different opinion on which alts are best but ultimately you will have to decide yourself. A good strategy is to start with the main alts which are more stable before looking into the smaller and newer ones which bear a lot more risk.
It's so important to ultimately make your own decisions as then you are responsible for them and you can't blame others if things don't work out. It also then encourages you to really look in to things yourself. I would say starting out check out the ANN threads as well as looking up some of the responses people have listed here. Make sure you take your time to read about the projects and understand them and where they fit in to the crypto space. |

If you are secure in your practices and your PC is secure then you shouldn't have any problems. If you plan to invest more in the future then sure buy the wallet now instead of later, but if you only ever plan to have those investments then I would say it isn't necessary. While $1k is a good amount of money you won't be the number one target for any hackers, scammers etc

The project can be a overwhelming success but it is a long way to go to begin comparing it to Ethereum neo or waves, it can be a success for investors without ever getting close to those levels. The ICO has raised around $20m which means for investors there's a lot of space for the price to increase and for them to profit before it is even close to the 3 aforementioned.

There are so many because it is a booming space right now and most are new ideas and so many people with the same idea are competing to be the one that becomes dominant. There is a lot of money in altcoins right now and so there are more and more new coins each day trying to get a slice of the pie so to speak. |

More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.
It's inevitable that many airdropped coins will be a waste of time, the whole idea is pretty fundamentally flawed given that you are getting something for nothing and then you're expecting that to have a significant value over time. Small airdrops can be useful to gain interest in the market but those which offer almost all their supply are normally money grabs. |

Right now with ETH back to 400 usd then it's not a good time to sell, arguably at 500 it was and to look to reenter at a lower price but that's easily said right now. I would hold now and wait for a price around 600 usd before we see the next big correction.

I noticed a strange stuff in my altcoin portfolio, though BTC jumped from 7K to 11K very quickly my alt coin portfolio has not taken much beating with this rise. Few % loses in sats and big increase in USD. This was not the case with other BTC bull runs, usually money spins between BTC and Altcoin. My inferences wiht this situation - 1) Volume should be too low, so there was no big impact to many altcoins. 2) I chose very strong coins 3) Huge new money got pumped into market in last 10 days The whole market is so bullish right now that actually it's quite worrying, because surely a bear run will come eventually. It's great because many of us have profited nicely. I think there's certainly been some new investment and some people taking things seriously has helped pump the whole market instead of just bitcoin. |

Hello, folks! Do you ever pay attention how cool and large can be your profits if you invest not into the top-10 alts, but to the smaller, less known altcoins? Status, Peercoin and Stellar Lumens jumped so high! And Cardano showed everybody its real force!
You're right that they can offer much better returns but they are very hit and miss, only a small percentage of them will show good returns and many others will fail completely. With the more established bigger alts you know what you're getting and you can still make some really nice returns. I think the smaller alts are much better for those guys trying to turn a small amount in to a fortune and the bigger alts for those guys just looking to earn a little on the side. |

Electroneum once it will be launched will have to recover from this bad position it got from the delay of the launch. This is where Richard can prove himself as beeing the marketing expert se hays he is. I have all my confidence in him and his team and the best intentions of them.
I see this project as a long therm investment and for sure once it will launch the price will go to the ground and below. But once the marketing team steps in the token will moon. 1$ price is not unreacheble for them.
You are right, there first steps are going to be to have to win over investors again and survive a storm and a lot of negativity surrounding an inevitable dump from a portion of investors. If they can navigate all of that and then deliver a working product then although a long shot $1 isn't out of the question. Probably not any time soon but it's achievable. Even a price of 10c which is much more achievable would be a very satisfactory return for any investors. |

The problem is that they've made such promises a few times along the line and they've turned out to be false, they said that things had been completed or approved long before they were and such actions never sit well with investors.
