i hold shares on bitfunder and normally get them on friday,
nice to see every week same ol story - where my divs@

At what point in time one has to have BitFunder Pass Through shares to get divs? Is it when dividends are paid from AM or when dividents are paid inside of BitFunder?

You assume that lowering the price will result in the same amount of sales. In reality lowering price usually increases sales as demand and supply match again after changes. Selling 200 blades at 30BTC is more than 100 blades at 50BTC. Another point here is better ROI for buyers, as they are more likely to buy more hardware in the future if they manage to make some BTC. At current prices it's very likely some buyers may not get back their investment which will be disappointing for them and will kill the desire to buy more hardware in the future.
But you also have to consider that the more chips you sell, the more the difficulty will rise, so there are pretty strong diminishing returns in increasing sales...

With today's hashrate even hundreds of blades won't add much difficulty. It's very uncertain what other players will bring during the summer, except maybe for Avalon chips that will start hashing in July/August. But if hash rate will go to 200-300 TH/s one Blade will be a drop in the ocean. At that point they'll have to lower the price a lot, and increase sales a lot too.

Sometimes I got up and I think it would be nice to dump like 250 shares on btct just to see the reaction, I will do it on of these days.

Doing this can push the price down to 2.0 BTC per share as of now (Wed Jun  5 12:27:59 UTC 2013). No one knows how the market would react.

Nothing will happen to the price. There were 500 share walls many times on Pass Throughs that were eaten off rather quickly. In addition thousands of direct and PT shares moved privately during last few weeks.

I don't think it's sensible to reduce prices now if people are paying 50 BTC per Blade. Wait until demand has dried out at that price and adjust prices quickly and aggressively.

Lowering price in steps dynamically can increase total revenues as opposed to waiting for demand to "dry out". In case of waiting for it to dry out total revenues may plunge to a point where only a handful of blades are sold per week.

Taking into account that producing hardware costs very little, lowering price dynamically in steps according to competition and price trends results in better total revenues.

I'm not saying when and what should be done, I believe they at AM know what to do, this is just a comment for thread readers who speculate AM strategies.

Bitfunder has over PT 18,000 shares, and my understanding is that all dividends are paid in one transfer, but you don't have that payment in your list. Or am I wrong?
107  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 03, 2013, 05:40:08 PM
So keep in mind that this only tracks actual holders of AM shares. Any PT or micro-PT shares won't show dividend transactions since that's up to the original AM share owner to distribute.

There should be 400,000 shares visible from dividends, then the fact that some are used for PT (and therefore dividends are transfered to other persons) does not change anything here.

How do you know when and how much of Bitfountain's shares get paid? It could be different from the rest.

Now the second dividend pay is gone, but the balance of the wallet still has the bitcoins.

I have a quick question.
What is AM hashing power per share?

MH/s per share =
Thanks.

Here it says over 50% is not that bad and the attack is not worthwhile.

Sorry Jutarul,

My minimum purchase is 4000 shares  Angry

You can easily get 4000 shares total with three private deals at 2.45-2.5 right now.

I believe that was sarcasm.  I feel as if a story is unfolding out of the novel "Reminiscenses of a Stock Operator".  The first bitcoin stock "bubble".  A "bubble" within a "bubble".  We're making history.

The OP is selling 2000, there is another 1000 here, there was more when I wrote the message. There were another 400 on BF when I wrote the message.

So, at the time I wrote the message one could get around 3500 with three deals. Not so much far off 4000.

Is friedcat really doing these errand boy tasks himself? It's obvious there should be someone else who does these kinds of things, or automate it.

Sending out a million dollars 8k btc worth of dividends doesn't exactly register as "errand boy" to me .. if friedcat doesn't do it,  some other C level exec has too.

That is not what I was talking about. Checking the number of confirmations of a 25 btc transfer is an errand boy task. That's the reason for delay.

By the way, I got the dividends for TAT shares.

I love waking up to 20 BTC's in the mail Smiley.

Did postman bring 20 shiny coins to your house?

Hello,

My understanding is that this pass through will receive mining hardware, ASICMINER mining board, because it has over 5,000 shares, therefore a board member seat. But since this pass through has over 15,000 shares, does that mean it will receive 3 of those mining boards?

How soon the hardware will be delivered and start mining? How many boards the pass through will have?

What time it is when they tell the devidend of the week? And does it always happen here first?

This is a noob question...

How does transfer of shares happen? I understand the owners of shares are in your database, but how can I see when someone transferred shares to another owner, me?

Onko kukaan käyttänyt localbitcoins.com? Siis ostanut tai myynyt bitcoineja?
