1  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Macbook Pro 13" 2.5Ghz, 500gb hd or 128gb SSD, 4gb ram on: February 07, 2015, 04:05:56 AM
I have for sale a Mid 2012 Apple Macbook Pro 13" 2.5Ghz, 500gb hd, 4gb ram. It is upgradeable.

I can switch the hard drive to a 128GB SSD if you like as an option (it drastically makes things faster at the cost of space). Geekbench score with SSD is nearly identical to my Late 2013 MBP retina.

Downsides: dings, scratches, etc. I can take pictures for serious buyers.

I would rate condition as acceptable/good.

$SOLD

8  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping this week!) on: September 03, 2013, 05:27:51 PM
This isn't about price comparisons, it's about ROI

At best your unit will return 35 BTC

You are charging 57 BTC (at today's rate)

but you are being a nice guy, letting people finance it a little for 10% interest a week. Look at my avatar picture, did you learn your interest compounding from someone like that?

Terms are as follows:
1) 25% of total once per week on agreed set date.
2) 1 BTC interest per week
3) If you fail to make payments or no longer can make payments, you will forfeit whatever you have paid and the machine. I am very understanding about 1-2 day delay if given prior notice, however don't make it a habit.

4) or you send Rocco over to see me???

I wish you well but no one with a calculator is going to bite I am afraid.
I understand you have $2500-3000 in chips in each one of these but I can't justify $7500 there is just no ROI unless BTC goes to $225 then I just break even.

WRONG WRONG WRONG.

WTF do you get your numbers? This machine will mine close to 0.9 BTC per day to start or 27 BTC in 30 days. Yes difficulty increases, but to say it has 35 BTC life is fucking ridiculous. Go sit in the corner; you're a retard. Even my BFL Single thats been mining for about a month now has mined 25ish coins and its half the power.

First of all, the chip cost is almost 28 BTC ALONE. That ain't 2500-3000. Its closer to $4k for ONLY chips. Now add assembly of tons of those 16 chip units. That's probably another $2k right there...so now we're closer to 6k.

Second of all, the interest is to create an incentive to pay off sooner. Which has worked already three times. Do you think I want to be paid over a long term? Hell no.

Third, wtf is up with all the trolls. I am going to create a new thread and will just moderate it.  I don't need your commentary. Your goal is to only bring the price down.

It will make close to the chip cost in ONE month alone.

Obviously, you did not use a calculator. Shucks, maybe you'll only make 200-300% return in a year and thats just too damn low huh?

Price updated to reflect what I am seeking in USD. This actually comes out much lower in BTC (so long as price of BTC is high; the quicker you buy the better)
11  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL ASIC Single 60GH/s 40 BTC on: August 28, 2013, 08:11:12 PM
For 40 BTC you can buy 11 Asicminer blades that will output 143 G\Hash for the same price. Good luck with sales.

Blades cost more than 10 BTC each... wtf are you talking about. This forum is filled with idiots. 40 BTC buys you close to 4 blades.
12  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping next week!) on: August 28, 2013, 06:52:53 PM
Well even at those rates... Thats 105 BTC (10.5 BTC x 10 blades) and 110 BTC (5 BTC x 22 Jalapenos) for equivalent hash rate... so I should be raising my price Smiley This is one machine. I think the math is very clear here. Thanks.

YEP the Math IS Clear.

ASICMINER Blades are now 3.5  BTC:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=282867.0

So 35BTC.

Sure...its sold out and you have to buy 100+. So either buy 100+ or you can pay at ASICMiners normal cost....let me calculate that.... the price is now 105 BTC for you.

Why dont you try that trick on any other company out there and see how far you get. Hey <insert name>! You sell these for $500 cheaper when I buy 100+ so give it to me for $500 less for just one!

And if you didn't know, that is how the world operates. Every manufacturer sells to their distributors at very low prices; does that entitle you to their prices? NO

I find it strange that when I say I am going to moderate the thread, not even one ridiculous comment is posted and the fear of that prevents people from wasting their time. Yet when I don't, well, you see what happens. Its unfortunate there are so many trolls.

THIS THREAD IS FOR SERIOUS BUYERS. GO TROLL ELSEWHERE.
13  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping next week!) on: August 28, 2013, 06:56:55 AM
Comparisons:

(ASICminer USB STICKS) 115,000 / 333 = 345 USB sticks * 0.4 BTC each = *drum roll* 138 BTC for equivalent hash rate.

(ASICminer Blades) 115,000 / 11000 (avg) = 10.45 blades * 12.5 BTC = 130 BTC

(BFL Singles 60 GH x 2) 55GH (they average 55; I have two) = 90-100 BTC total

(BFL Jalapenos) 110,000 / 5000 = 22 jalapenos = 220 BTC

Besides the ASIC block erupters your math is completely off due to your pricing per machine...

1. ASIC blades are currently 10.5 BTC brand new
2. BFL Singles are 35 BTC used (and very tough to sell at that price)
3. Jalapenos are closer to 5-6 BTC, and there are many people trying to sell their jalapeno at 6 BTC with no luck.

I'm actually really surprised you tried to pass off a jalapeno for 10 BTC each.

Anyways, I offer $2,500 USD cash and local pickup in southern callifornia.

I just looked at a couple links on the first page and those were the prices shown. You're also wrong. First page of For Sale section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246020.msg2608792#msg2608792

Price for block eruptor is 12 BTC now. Went down 0.5 BTC. And only scam singles are 35. Why dont you go buy one and let us know Smiley

Also stop wasting my time. Why don't you just place an order right now for batch #3 for $6k.

The post you looked up is from June when they were 12 BTC and that guy sells to europeans for higher price than they cost in the US.

Check Canaryinthemine (US based ASICMiner distributor), they are going for 10.5 BTC each, they are in stock and ship super fast: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=277332.0

And when you can get 11GH/s for 10.5BTC brand new, not many people are dumb enough to pay 10BTC for just 5GH/s on an old jalapeno. I'm not trying to make you lower your price or anything, just correcting your price equations Tongue

Well even at those rates... Thats 105 BTC (10.5 BTC x 10 blades) and 110 BTC (5 BTC x 22 Jalapenos) for equivalent hash rate... so I should be raising my price Smiley This is one machine. I think the math is very clear here. Thanks.

Dont forget BTC scales with difficulty. Did you account for that? And if BTC is 300 at the end of the year, what does that mean? its more than doubled its efficiency.

If you require price increase to ROI, then you might as well just buy and hold btc.
This coming from the guy who was selling Block Eruptors FOREVER for 35+... get the f out of here. What a hypocrite. Even when you were selling them at that price they were NOT EVEN CLOSE for ROI. Looks like that didn't work out too well for you. When they dropped in price I saw that you were still selling a lot of them for that price...looks like you were left holding the bag.

another simple math http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/9d2230baaa
shows that this 120Gh will return only about 35 BTC in a YEAR

so what's the point of paying more ?

So why are you browsing the for sale section looking at mining machines? I just showed how I am far cheaper than other options available. Aren't you wasting your time? Oh...wait...maybe its because you think enough suckers will fall for the paranoia and all these ridiculous comments and lower their prices. And because you are willing to pay to get one. Otherwise stop wasting your time and leave this section with prices out of your league.

And do you actually even own a machine? Even my BFL Single makes half a BTC per day and thats 15 BTC in a month and used to make more. Wow...it must be a special machine to generate so much BTC so fast.

Dont forget BTC scales with difficulty. Did you account for that? And if BTC is 300 at the end of the year, what does that mean? its more than doubled its efficiency.
17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping next week!) on: August 27, 2013, 09:49:06 AM
Way too expensive at this diff.

I am simply amazed by how many people cannot do simple math. Let's see.

Comparisons:

(ASICminer USB STICKS) 115,000 / 333 = 345 USB sticks * 0.4 BTC each = *drum roll* 138 BTC for equivalent hash rate.

(ASICminer Blades) 115,000 / 11000 (avg) = 10.45 blades * 12.5 BTC = 130 BTC

(BFL Singles 60 GH x 2) 55GH (they average 55; I have two) = 90-100 BTC total

These are your options for mining. Either you like them or you don't. Let's not kid ourselves here, I priced this reasonably.

I would appreciate only serious offers and not comments from the peanut gallery. Thanks for the comment tho, I usually have to spell out it out by doing the math just like this EVERY sale. It's annoying to have to do this, but then it sells right away when people realize how much better the deals are that I make.
18  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping next week!) on: August 27, 2013, 04:01:05 AM
75btc.... psh ... Ill offer 50btc

Only have 50 BTC? I'll sell you a in hand BFL 60 GH/s single at that price Smiley
19  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmine Avalon Clone Batch #1 (starts shipping next week!) on: August 27, 2013, 02:33:57 AM
If its shipping next week, advertise it next week when its in hand.

Because I want to now? I could have done this long ago, however I have held off on doing this until I was absolutely sure it was shipping extremely soon. Someone would have paid more, but then I'd feel bad with an unknown shipping time frame.
20  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Cancelled on: August 27, 2013, 01:24:47 AM
Cancelled.
