Received my tray:

Awesome build. I'm buying another one! Smiley

Hey could you post some additional pictures with all the cards setup in place please. The flash in that last picture not giving me a good look at the setup.

Here's a link to my album.

https://picasaweb.google.com/106162403472093458481/MiningRig?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCPa08pPf58PJmgE&feat=directlink

I will probably upload more pics to it soon; the server room/electronics workshop I've had built for mining and other mad-scientisty things is just about complete; it will be easier to take pictures of it there. I'm also about to add a second 4-mobo rig to the stack.

Selling another prototype!  This time around its a one-off of a mining tray built for two PSUs (mounted on edge):

$75USD plus actual UPS shipping charge from NH.

PayPal only.

(I will soon be offering a legit dual PSU mining tray, with the PSUs stacked on the wide side).

How do you recommend starting your rigs like this? By using a screwdriver?

I would always recommend using a switch.

FWIW, no one has ever asked me about mounting a switch to one of these.

FYI, I use a small philips on one to my machines to start it up, never had any problems with it that way, but if you can pull a switch off an old machine that would be ideal.

Also, just got my case with elevated GPU brackets yesterday. Took about 5 minutes to setup and another 30 to get the new setup booted up and mining. For anyone still GPU mining, this is a great tech case made from quality parts. Definitely worth the cost so you're able to safely run between five and eight GPUs.

Looks a little crude right now because I took it while I was installing windows. I'll post some more once I've got 5 more cards up and running.

Haha looks like one I made back in '11 out of wood. Good old Bitcoin mining days:

ALL of the wiring was routed under the case. Made it look very clean.

I had a base that I made my self as well. Unfortunately I had made it out of untreated wood, left it close to a window that was open when we had a huge rain storm and even though it didnt get wet, it still absorbed a lot of moisture and began to bow. Hence, why I bought this ultra nice unit from Spotswood!
