It looks like Laporta is still thinking about making Messi come back to his old team sooner or later. Maybe he wants Messi to end his career at Barcelona by playing his last matches there. I don't know whether this can really happen in the future. But it seems clear that they won't make any offer for him before this transfer window ends. They had better not to also because their finance is going even worse as long as they continue to bring new players.

It was another disappointing race for Ferrari. Leclerc crashed into the wall after losing the control of the car and couldn't return to the race after that. Throttle was his biggest enemy once again. If he was able to return then maybe the race would have ended much different. Verstappen was too comfortable after this incident and won the race easily. Now there is a huge gap of 63 points between them. The time is running out slowly for Leclerc to catch up with Verstappen. From now on he really needs to be very lucky.

I'm wondering what Leipzig will do this time. In the previous season they had some struggles and couldn't start the season very well. They were below the expectations for a long time too. But they still managed to recover while we were getting close to the end of the season and managed to finish as the 4th. Leipzig have lost Nagelsmann maybe but they still have a capable squad to fight for the 3rd and 2nd places in the standings. If they make a good start they can make it I think.

After having a wonderful season and reaching even the finale, I'm going to wonder what Boston Celtics will do in the new season. They were so close to win a championship after a break of so many years. However Warriors didn't let them do it. If Celtics don't make too big changes in their system I still believe that they can make it sooner or later. But their job is still going to be difficult of course. I wonder if they are thinking of changing some of the players in their roster. I hope the changes wouldn't be for their best players.

This semi-auto offside technology seems like it can be very helpful in the World Cup. Sometimes referees can have big problems on detecting an offside even in the presence of the usual offside line technology. I assume that this new semi-auto one is going to be tested in an official tournament for the first time. If it becomes successful then we can see it in many leagues after the World Cup ends. Decreasing the number of mistakes to minimum must be utmost effort for the people in charge.

Dortmund are said to be interested in Luis Suarez now. He has been a free agent for nearly a month. I also think that it would be nice to watch him in the Bundesliga as I would like to see him continuing to perform at a European team. It is very unfortunate to hear about Haller's condition by the way. He has got testicular cancer and it is unknown when he will be able to return to football. Suarez might be 35 years old but he is a very experienced striker too. If he adapts well he can score a lot of goals for Dortmund.

It is recorded that Manchester City have already made an offer worth 30 million pounds for Cucurella. However Brighton have rejected it and their demand from Manchester City is 50 million pounds now. There is a really huge interval between these values but of course Manchester City don't have any issue with money at the moment. They would just like to sign him for as favorable price as possible. Cucurella is one of the best left backs in the Premier League now by the way. After Zinchenko's departure this transfer would be awesome for them.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving haven't left the team yet but they are likely to do so this summer. I don't know if Nets really need a big change in their roster now. However they weren't successful in the previous season too. Irving missed many games though but they still struggled when he was back. Both of these players aren't eager to stay longer according to some news sources. Honestly I would like to watch Kevin Durant at Suns or Heat. I think the same for Irving at Lakers beside Lebron.

There are some rumours like Manchester United and Chelsea are in a race to sign Benjamin Pavard now. For now this doesn't seem to be a strong rumour but we would see what will happen in the next days. I have really liked Pavard so far. He is playing in the France national team too as you know. I believe he would be a solid right back for both of the teams interested. Manchester United have Wan-Bissaka and Dalot already but maybe they are thinking of selling one of them if this transfer happens. On the other hand Chelsea are close to sell Azpilicueta to Barcelona so it might be the reason of their interest.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 22, 2022, 08:20:32 AM
Barcelona are continuing with their targets to fill the places in left-back and right-back positions. For left-back position they have been trying to sign Marcos Alonso but there is no development about that transfer lately. If they fail in doing so then their next target is likely to be Sergio Reguilon.
Does Barcelona still have money to buy more players?  Huh
To be honest, I doubt Barcelona still has a lot of money right now. They also will experience a problem with players' salaries if they are trying to force signing more top players. They may sign Marcos Alonso for free, but they must pay his salary, right? While Sergio Reguilon, still has a contract with Tottenham until Jun 30, 2025. Tottenham won't let him go and must set an expensive price if the player really wants to leave.

I really don't know how much money they have left now. After spending that much money it really makes me feel like they still have some money left. Because they have completed two transfers for a big amount of money like these were not a big deal at all. You are right about the salary topic too. They must think of their expenses for salaries and bonuses in the future too and act according to that. When it comes to Tottenham's decision I also think that they wouldn't sell him while they are in need of him.

Manchester United might be losing their chance to sign Frenkie de Jong now. Because new rumours claim that he isn't intending to join Manchester United now. He is eager to join Bayern Munich or Chelsea if he will be sold. This can be related to one thing especially. Manchester United are in the Europa League now so he might not be wanting to play there again. He already experienced it with Barcelona last season. It wasn't very good for them. I understand him about this also as he is a qualified player.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 20, 2022, 10:40:54 PM
I have started thinking about the probability of Harry Kane to sign for Bayern Munich in this summer. Honestly I don't think that Harry Kane has any problem with Tottenham at the moment. He had big problems last summer and until Conte came to the team. But there is none now. If they didn't qualify for the Champions League maybe then he would still think of leaving the team to join a bigger one. Now it is up to Tottenham to decide whether to sell him. They just need an irrevocable offer from Bayern Munich to think about it seriously.
Actually it would still be ideal if indeed Lewandowski's position was given to him but I still quite doubt if Kane will move now. Even if we look from the start, especially the previous few seasons, City have been willing to pay Kane a fantastic price to bring Kane but it was rejected by Spurs.
Now are they really going to bid another crazy price to bring Kane from Tottenham?

I have checked Transfermarkt for this rumour. I have seen a record for Harry Kane for Bayern Munich really however it is only a 4% probability.  Cheesy  In short, I don't think that he is going to be transferred by Bayern Munich or any other team in this summer. He is already happy to play while Conte is managing the team as I said before. Unless big problems break out in the team I'm going to continue to expect him to play for Tottenham. They need him in the Champions League so much too.

For left-back position they have been trying to sign Marcos Alonso but there is no development about that transfer lately. If they fail in doing so then their next target is likely to be Sergio Reguilon. Honestly there is a significant difference between these two players. I mean that Marcos Alonso would be a way better choice for them. He is very skilled like a scorer.

I have heard that Chelsea have made their offer for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde already. It is 47 million pounds according to news. Barcelona have also been targeting to sign him actually so I'm wondering whether they will also make an offer soon. I don't know whether they are in a solid condition to be able to fight against Chelsea for this deal. But they have seemed very comfortable about spending a big amount of money so far.
Chelsea already has 6 center-backs right now (Thiago Silva, Koulibaly, Chalobah, Ampadu, Malang Sarr, and Miazga). I think Chelsea doesn't need a new center-back right now. They only waste money if they force themselves to sign Kounde. Moreover, Sevilla won't sell Kounde at a cheap price because he is a key player there. It is a bad idea for Chelsea to spend big money on an unnecessary player. While for Barcelona, I think they have no more money to buy Kounde because they already spent a lot of money after signing Lewandowski and Raphinha. Barcelona also still has 6 center-backs, what for buying more a center-back? They are not in urgent for a new center-back. So, I think Kounde will stay at Sevilla since both Chelsea and Barcelona don't really need a new center-back.

You have a good point there. Chelsea already have many centre-backs. However maybe they are still indecisive about choosing a player beside Koulibaly in the starting eleven. Maybe they are even thinking of making a new signing for solving this problem. That can be the reason why they are going for Kounde also now. However they had better sell some centre-backs in the team in case this deal is completed successfully. Otherwise there can be a serious unhappiness situation among some of these players.

There was an interest by Tottenham for Zaniolo some time ago, yes. But I don't see any rumour about it now. Juventus were also among the teams interested in signing him. Zaniolo can easily be a wanted player for big teams for certain. He is a really promising winger and he is only 23 now. It can still be difficult for Roma to keep him at the team this summer. However there is a feeling inside me like he will stay for this summer. If he doesn't have any release clause then he would stay.

There are only a few days to go for the French GP. It doesn't have a very attention getting track maybe but I still hope to see a competitive race. Leclerc is in the competition again finally by his result in the previous race. I expect him to maintain this great effort against Verstappen once again in this race also. I will be wondering about Hamilton's performance also by the way. He has been doing a good job recently by being on podium. We will see if he will be able to maintain this here. However he needs to get lucky about Sainz and Perez threats first.

I guess that the reason why PSG want to sell Wijnaldum now is to decrease the number of players playing in the same position now. Because with the addition of Vitinha there are so many alternative players as central midfielders. Wijnaldum played in a lot of matches actually but they still wanted to let him go. Maybe they didn't like his performance too much. PSG aren't going for big transfers yet also by the way. However I still expect them to make a big signing later on.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 19, 2022, 08:44:15 PM
I also think that Depay wouldn't have much chance in the starting eleven anymore. He played as a centre-forward most of the time in the previous season. However Lewandowski is here now and it is too difficult for Depay to have so many chances in big tournaments especially. As a result it would be much better for him to leave the team before the transfer window ends. Tottenham are very interested in a deal so I expect Barcelona to benefit from this opportunity to sell him.

There is still a big ambiguity about the Ronaldo transfer. Atletico Madrid are the most serious team to sign him at the moment. They are advancing their talks with him on one hand. On the other hand Erik ten Hag believes that he could still stay at Manchester United. However I don't see Ronaldo being eager to stay now. He seems eager about joining Atletico Madrid rather than that. I wonder how strong his return to the La Liga would be if it really happens.
