Matthijs de Ligt deal is finally over! Bayern Munich have agreed on terms with Juventus and the player both. He has landed in Munich to sign his contract. He is going to sign a 5-year contract. The deal is 70 million euros plus bonuses which are worth 10 million euros. This is actually a lower sum than I expected. It is still a huge amount of money of course. Considering that they are going to need to sign a centre-forward too they have spent a lot of money already. But their financial status must be solid still.

Roma manager Jose Mourinho seems to be after Paulo Dybala and Jesse Lingard both who are free agents at the moment. Rather than Lingard I wonder if they will be able to convince Dybala to play for themselves. Actually Dybala can really choose them over a team that are competing in a different league. He is used to playing here for so many years and he might be likely to stay in Italy still. Roma would be much stronger if they add him to the lineup. He wouldn't have any problem with playing time also.

Lingard will be a good a player in Jose Mourinho team but having Dybala with the experience in Italy already, he will do more better and don't need to adapt anymore to the league.
If I should suggest here between them both then they As Roma should make complete move and push for Paulo Dybala.
An improvement in his salary would be vital knowing he will give he's all for the team. Jose Mourinho has full focus on the League having won the Europa league then it's confirm verification for the Champions League football next season right ?

Yes they must be targeting to qualify for the Champions League this season. They had better be doing so otherwise Mourinho's coming to the team would have no meaning left. Roma have been improving themselves since he came here. Maybe they didn't have their best season but they at least managed to finish the season at an upper position in the standings. Now the goal must be entering top 4. They can do this by a solid system and the right transfers.

By the way the Dybala deal has been completed by Roma already. Congrats!

Barcelona are still going on with their transfers. After completing the signing of Lewandowski they are going for Jules Kounde now as it seems. It has been on the news that they are going to make an offer for him to Sevilla soon. As you might have heard already, Chelsea are also targeting him now. In this race the winner might be Barcelona in my opinion. Barcelona are still unstoppable about transfers even though they are in big debt. I wonder when they will stop.

I have started thinking about the probability of Harry Kane to sign for Bayern Munich in this summer. Honestly I don't think that Harry Kane has any problem with Tottenham at the moment. He had big problems last summer and until Conte came to the team. But there is none now. If they didn't qualify for the Champions League maybe then he would still think of leaving the team to join a bigger one. Now it is up to Tottenham to decide whether to sell him. They just need an irrevocable offer from Bayern Munich to think about it seriously.

Ronaldo is getting close to sign for Atletico Madrid as it seems. I wasn't expecting a transfer like this honestly. I would rather see him in the Real Madrid squad normally but anyway. We will see how strong he will perform there if Atletico Madrid complete the deal soon. Playing in the La Liga will be very familiar for him so he would have a solid season like in the previous one. Atletico Madrid have a different system maybe but a very experienced player like Ronaldo would adapt quickly.

Anybody else think it’s a little low behaviour by Ronaldo? He’s effectively whoring himself out to anybody who is in the CL. Maybe he should just do his job & play for Man Utd.

I dunno, I just find it a little cheap behaviour.

I understand that he is very ambitious about playing in the Champions League. But if there is no team interested in him seriously then I also think that he shouldn't make things harder for himself and Manchester United also. Ronaldo isn't an unprofessional player in the end. He must respect Manchester United's values and his great years here. It started to seem like he will stay here so he had better collect himself and focus on his game. By not joining trainings etc. he is doing a bad thing to the team.

It is not easy to make a prediction about the winner of the league title next season. At least it is hard to have a clear prediction. We need to see some matches first to be able to observe the conditions of the teams. However I can already say that Real Madrid and Barcelona are going to be the closest teams to the title. Barcelona are in a way better condition now so this makes me think like they will be very competitive for being the champions.

Manchester United still haven't completed the Frenkie de Jong transfer. They are said to have reached an agreement for him actually but it is not official yet. The deal is said to be around 85 million euros in total. This is really huge for them and it can help Barcelona's budget become in a better condition after two big signings. Manchester United also need a midfielder like him after Pogba has left.

Bayern Munich are going to need to start looking for a striker after reaching an agreement with Barcelona for Lewandowski. I don't see any candidate for this position at the moment but I'm looking forward to seeing a big transfer from them. Ronaldo isn't a candidate seemingly. If Manchester City didn't sign Haaland I'm sure that they would go for him. Let's see who they will find.

I have seen some rumours that Barcelona are likely to leave Frenkie de Jong out of the squad for their US tour. They want to reach an agreement with Manchester United by doing this. I don't know if this news is really true. Because Laporta said some time ago that they didn't want to let him go. As a result this doesn't make sense to me. However Barcelona would really make use of earning a lot of money by this deal. They paid a lot of money to sign Raphinha in the end.

I'm looking forward to seeing a better competition in the Bundesliga next season. Maybe the possibility for this is really low if we take the previous season into account but I still hope to see it. Dortmund are the second biggest team in the league right now and I hope they can compete well this time. They have made some transfer moves for their defense as well. I know they have lost Erling Haaland too which would affect them surely. But they have great forwards like Haller and Adeyemi too now so they should still be okay for scoring goals. They just need to improve their defense.

Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca might join West Ham in the near future. The recent rumours link him with them these days. Actually PSG were also interested in him but I don't know if they still are. Scamacca is a young and talented striker. He has many years ahead of him to develop his performance more. It is going to be hard for Sassuolo to keep him this summer seemingly. He scored 16 goals in the Serie A in the previous season and this was his best performance so far. He can do better at a bigger team.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 14, 2022, 10:04:46 PM
Chelsea are rumoured with many defenders currently. Kimpembe is among these candidates also. However I don't think that PSG will be eager to sell him to Chelsea. Because he is already a regular player in the starting eleven of PSG. The biggest candidate for now is Nathan Ake now. Manchester City are already willing to let him go and they think of bringing Kounde to his place. It looks like Chelsea will complete the signing of Nathan Ake soon.

Barcelona are expected to make another offer worth around 50 million euros for Lewandowski. They were a little silent actually but it must be related to their going for other transfers. They have signed Raphinha and Dembele for example. They have already spent more than 50 million for Raphinha actually so I wonder how much money they have to spend still. Their financial status wasn't good actually but it looks like they can still spend more than 100 million in this transfer window.

I don't see fresh rumours about Tielemans now. His last recorded rumour is seen like it was related to Manchester United. He was linked with Arsenal very much too. Honestly I don't think Manchester United need Tielemans now. They need a defensive midfielder rather than an offensive one like Tielemans. Arsenal also aren't in need of a midfielder like him actually. They have three attacking midfielders now. Maybe Manchester United would increase the alternatives at least as they have only Bruno Fernandes who is mainly an attacking midfielder.

Chelsea are trying to retaliate after Barcelona have completed the signing of Raphinha. Chelsea's plan is to steal Lewandowski from them by reaching an agreement with Bayern Munich somehow. However it is going to be too hard for them like it has been for Barcelona. Bayern Munich have rejected three offers so far for Lewandowski. I wonder what Chelsea are thinking of to be able to convince them. If Barcelona also reach an agreement then I don't think Chelsea would stand a chance because Lewandowski's intention is to play for Barcelona.

It is a really nice start for Manchester United. We can't consider them great by only an unofficial match of course but this still shows some good things about them. This kind of victories before the start of the season can be helpful for the team to motivate themselves more. However Manchester United haven't still completed their needed transfers on the other hand. After they complete these successfully we can hopefully see a solid team in the Premier League this time.

They are now in serious discussion to trade with Kyrie and I think they can make this to happen as they want to pass up what they think a problem on their teams. Although this talks will not get any assurance but I believe they will make this thing to happen as Lakers and Nets is running out of time on their free agency. We don't know if Durant will be happy with this trade because it looks like he will play again and if I'm not wrong they don't have good relationship to each other.

I've also heard about this trade rumours for Irving. Actually it is said that it was going to happen too but Nets changed their mind suddenly about this. Because they want to trade Kevin Durant first as he wanted from them urgently. Nets are losing a lot of power now and I can't even imagine their place in the coming season. Anyway, after Durant's trade I wonder if Lakers will still manage to get Irving by giving Westbrook in return. This would be a great trade for Lakers in my opinion.

It looks like PSG's interest in Ronaldo didn't last long. They thought of bringing him as well this summer. However they seem like they haven't got any intention in that way anymore. I don't think that PSG need Ronaldo now too. Ronaldo is a striker in the end and they have already Mbappe and Icardi. Let's say they had only Mbappe this would still not change anything. Because a player like Ronaldo wouldn't like to be benched in the end. PSG wouldn't change the attacking line of Mbappe, Neymar and Messi that easy too.
