141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make altcoins? on: December 12, 2017, 03:28:06 PM
Some altcoins can still be mined profitably with CPU/GPU. There are also plenty of masternode coins that can give massive returns, especially if the value of the coin rises drastically like Dash.
142  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: December 11, 2017, 06:13:58 PM
I'm not sure if it will end up being a good long-term investment, what with its scalability, speed, and transaction fee issues. I think it's great investment right now because it's becoming everyone's introduction to the world of crypto. So invest in BTC now, but keep a watchful eye for when the tide begins to turn.

I hope it catches up before Sunday (payday for me - I don't make the minimum for the other days).  Because right now I can tell I'm not making as much as I normally do.

Even though it's been slowly declining, this week is a massive decline from last week.

*Crosses fingers*
I'm in the same boat. I'm just a little anxious since I've had a couple bounties fall through on me recently as well, so I'm hoping if anything there will just be a little delay before payout occurs.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have 10K USD, which coin do you invest for 1 week? on: December 08, 2017, 04:29:50 PM
Dopecoin. The marijuana industry is going to explode on January 1st 2018, and Dopecoin is in a great position to benefit from that boom. They have strong connections to the industry already and they're developing the Smoke Exchange, an advertising platform for the marijuana industry that will accept BTC, ETH, DOPE, and the SMX token. Lots of bonuses for using DOPE in the SMX ICO as well as on the Smoke Exchange itself, too.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[BOUNTY]⚡[ANN]⚡BTC + FUND⚡ FUNDCRU: Blockchain-Powered Fundraising on: December 07, 2017, 02:33:38 PM
I would be pretty surprised if anyone got paid for week 2, let alone week 3 or 4. The price of BTC has gone up by $5000 since they announced that the bounty campaign had been suspended due to "budget constraints," so I'm pretty certain they realized they'd be better off holding their BTC rather than paying it out.
146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting trade with small amount on: December 04, 2017, 05:13:53 PM
Some people in this thread are recommending starting with ICOs, but I think that's a bad idea. If you're new to trading, there's a much higher likelihood that you'll buy in to a scam/worthless ICO.

When I started trading I gave myself $100 to start with. I researched as many coins as I could and looked for trends and patterns in established coins. I've made some mistakes along the way, but those mistakes helped me develop rules for myself and hone my strategy. I've managed to grow my investment by more than 25% over what it would be if I had just left it in BTC. That's not terribly high and I'm sure many people here have gained 100% or more, but I think it's pretty good for a beginner.

CCN cannacoin is a better buy and already has a website and active devs
Interesting how the Cannacoin ANN thread still says they're listed on Bittrex, yet they got delisted almost 7 months ago due to lack of user interest... Active indeed Roll Eyes
148  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining through Website...Legit or not? on: December 02, 2017, 05:31:52 PM
I don't know what GPU is, as you see I'm newbie here. But I'm using mobile phone only.
Ah, I see. Unfortunately most mobile mining apps are scams as well. Mining in general is done either with ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuit, costs thousands of dollars and requires a lot of electricity) or GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit, the video card in your computer). Mining Bitcoin specifically is really only possible with ASICs, while mining most other coins require at least one recent GPU (preferably more than one if you actually want to make a profit). Phones don't have nearly as much power as ASICs or GPUs, so it's highly unlikely you'll ever make any money mining on your phone. There's a small chance you could earn a payout, but it will likely be less than the amount you paid to charge your phone.
149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining through Website...Legit or not? on: December 02, 2017, 04:18:12 PM
What can you suggest for me?
That depends... What GPU do you currently have or are you looking to purchase one (or more)? Do you pay for electricity? Any mining experience at all?
150  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining through Website...Legit or not? on: December 02, 2017, 03:40:52 PM
One example is Startminer.com... You can search for it. I'm thinking that too.
Yeah they claim that you can earn 1BTC per day by paying them to "upgrade" your account. Looks like most of their business lies in their "Affiliate" program, which is otherwise known as a Ponzi scheme. I'd stay away from web based miners. Setting up a miner and joining a reputable pool isn't very difficult. If your problem is lack of decent hardware, no website or other software is going to be able to change that for you.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HempCoin (THC) on: December 02, 2017, 03:08:38 PM
Hmmm... I'll definitely be checking out DopeCoin. Looks like THC doubled today, hoping the same can happen for DOPE when they announce more dispensaries
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀🚀 DOPECOIN : Online shops accepting DopeCoin and payment gateway OTW 🚀 on: December 02, 2017, 03:00:49 PM
Nice to see a marijuana-related coin where the developers are active and actually working with the legal industry. Looking forward to reaching the highest of highs with Dope! Grin
153  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining through Website...Legit or not? on: December 02, 2017, 12:48:40 PM
Which website? There are a lot of scam sites out there, but a few that I believe to be legit. Though even if they are legit it's unlikely you'll make a profit from them. If you really want to mine, take the time to learn how to set it up yourself.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CME Group to launch bitcoin futures contract on Dec. 18 on: December 01, 2017, 03:22:14 PM
I'm in favor of anything that brings more mainstream attention. Hopefully this will bring significantly more investors so we can put a stop to all this "bubble" nonsense that threatened bankers and government officials love to spew.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin name registration on: December 01, 2017, 03:14:52 PM
Seems to be first come first serve really. As long as you're the first to get listed on exchanges/CoinMarketCap you'll most likely beat any copycats. I've seen a few coins/tokens attempt to use existing names or names that are extremely similar (like "Bit Coin" lol), but that doesn't usually go well.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: .............. C .............. on: December 01, 2017, 03:08:04 PM
Definitely one of the stranger ANN threads I've seen, but it sure does got your attention! Pretty refreshing change of pace from the generic text-only posts that pop up all the time. I'm very curious to hear more about this project, especially with a graph like that lol Wink

Won't multiplying the total supply by 20,000 kind of defeat the whole purpose of this token? After all that talk about how the extreme scarcity would make it "the most expensive crypto asset of all time"...
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Enigma Catalyst - Build Your Own Crypto Hedge Fund on: November 30, 2017, 01:33:44 PM
What's going on with Enigma at -%100 down?  Huh
The ATH on Bittrex is listed as 1.0BTC which I doubt is accurate, but generally coins added to big exchanges will dump for a bit after the dust from the listing rush settles. Looks like a strong team on this project though, so I can see ENG recovering nicely.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITCOINPRO TOKEN - token with the most practical usage [AIRDROP] on: November 30, 2017, 03:06:18 AM
This is not an AIRDROP   ; if   you are asking for even 0.00000001 eth   it's  a ICO   .

Im sure you aren't read it carefully, it's said if you donate, if you want to buy
they didn't tell to send any ETH just for join airdrop
Except for the part under the Airdrop heading where they wrote "You have to donate 0.01ETH to the address below." Their airdrop form even has a required field for the transaction ID that shows you "donated" at least .01ETH. This is not an airdrop. Heck, I'd even be surprised if this was a real ICO and anyone got tokens for their ETH.
