161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: November 29, 2017, 06:25:55 PM
The last few alts I picked up were ADA, SNT, and XVG. Those first two took off like crazy over the past couple days, so now it's Verge's turn to hop on the rocket ship! Hopefully the new 3.0 wallet will provide enough fuel

Dev - the personal text in the main post doesn't all fit, it cuts off at "First real anonymous ICO - don't fall for the scam" so for now I've shortened it to just "First real anonymous ICO" is this ok?

Any word on when the signature campaign payout for week 2 will happen?
164  Economy / Economics / Re: One Bitcoin, $10,000. Ten Thousand Dollars. on: November 28, 2017, 03:13:16 PM
Hitting the $10k mark is just the beginning... now BTC is going to get a lot more attention from people outside the crypto world.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITCOINPRO TOKEN - token with the most practical usage [AIRDROP] on: November 28, 2017, 02:24:47 PM
Let's count all of the red flags: Newbie account, ripoff token name, minimal info in ANN (no website, whitepaper, team...), no special features or target market, and of course the biggest one, asking for .01 ETH for an "airdrop."

Not to mention all of the generic "great project" comments Cheesy

Just another scam ICO, move along.

Here's mine: https://twitter.com/t3hpwnographer (pretty barren right now lol)

I'll get to following everyone in this thread as soon as I'm home from work Grin
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HempCoin (THC) on: November 27, 2017, 05:10:44 PM
what kind of post or tweet fromHempcoin team, that will make the price up ?
can you show me ,, ? because i didn't follow their twitter
Well they posted this in their ANN thread a little less than a month ago:
HempCoin (THC) is working on a huge EPIC update. This change will rival most top coin markets. News to come soon! 10X coming soon
And their Twitter (https://twitter.com/TheHempCoin) has been retweeting lots of positive predictions multiple times a day for a while now
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / HempCoin (THC) on: November 27, 2017, 04:03:33 PM
It looks like the HempCoin team recently made a few posts/tweets teasing a huge update and a 10x boost. Could it really happen? I'm inclined to trust them more than other coins given their longevity (one of the earliest coins created) and the fact that THC has been going up steadily all year with a huge pump every few months, but I can't seem to find anything regarding what this "huge update" might actually be.
169  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to use bitcoin without photo ID? on: November 22, 2017, 06:15:38 PM
https://localbitcoins.com/ lets you buy bitcoin directly from other people through things like cash deposit or even gift card codes. Just make sure you go with someone with an established good reputation.

Then as long as you're not interested in buying/selling on an exchange, you'll be set up with your BTC without needing any personal information at all.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: November 22, 2017, 02:20:59 PM
Looks like the CoinPouch hack hasn't affected the price too much. In case anyone didn't see it: https://twitter.com/coinpouchapp/status/933124946565451777?s=09

Scrolling through those comments makes me cringe... some people saying they lost over 500,000 XVG Sad

Hey

anyone had problems with coinpouch. I stored my XVG in coin pouch and now my balance is zero. Coins have been drawn out?

Anyone had any similar issues. Is coin pouch a scam

Sounds like you were affected by the hack. Take a look at this tweet: https://twitter.com/coinpouchapp/status/933124946565451777?s=09
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Demicoin - The New Bitcoin Killer - Lending/Bounties/Trading Coming Soon on: November 22, 2017, 02:05:17 PM
Calling yourself "the new bitcoin killer" almost sounds sarcastic, given how frequently coins claim they're going to surpass Bitcoin and how frequently they fail to do so... Who knows, maybe your whitepaper will include something to support this title. Can't hurt to at least register for the pre-ICO if you'll be listed on Bittrex like you say.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Palm Beach Confidential For November on: November 21, 2017, 08:23:22 PM
hopefully the community will be smart enough to cancel subscriptions and start boycotting them.
As much as I'd like for this to happen, I just don't think it's realistic. Too many people are convinced that they'll get rich if they can jump in on PBC's pick, and many more are willing to manipulate them with false rumors and fake screenshots.

At this point I don't think the subscription fee is even necessary, I'm sure PBC makes more money through their market manipulation than from subscriptions. The fee just helps them look "legit" to newcomers (and might have tax/legal purposes as well).
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any TOP-50 alts to move 1 BTC to? on: November 21, 2017, 05:23:12 PM
There are plenty that look to be on the rise. ETH, LTC, MIOTA, and XMR all seem to be trending upwards. DASH could also be a good one if it can maintain growth after the PBC pump n dump.
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie story - Everything started with a Big Mac... on: November 21, 2017, 03:04:49 PM
This reminds me of a story I recently read about the early days of Bitcoin when someone paid for a pizza delivery with 10,000 BTC Cheesy 0.017 doesn't seem quite so bad now does it
176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i want to learn trading any sources?? on: November 21, 2017, 02:50:47 PM
The search feature is your friend, but you can also pick up a lot just by browsing through active topics. One note I'll offer: don't buy in to the hype around any coin/token without doing extensive research on your own. There are plenty of shill accounts here, but with a little common sense they're usually pretty easy to spot.
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What price range do you like to buy in to? on: November 21, 2017, 02:18:16 PM
my theory is that you can pump an altcoin from 100 satoshi to 100,000 satoshi but you can't pump an altcoin from 0.1BTC to 100BTC! that is like an automatic block in front of big altcoins for rising big.
Yeah this is why I've been so hesitant to invest in bigger coins. The couple times I've given it a shot I came out with a very small gain since I don't have a large amount of BTC to invest. But that is the reality of business and investing... you have to spend money to make money!
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]••• SIMDAQ: Platform for crypto trading 🚀🚀🚀 on: November 21, 2017, 02:08:40 PM
This seems like a very interesting project... Historical data would be a big help to people who are pretty new to the trading game, such as myself.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTG is scam coin or not? on: November 21, 2017, 02:02:06 PM
There's been a major lack of transparency with BTG that makes it hard to definitively say that it's not a scam. Wish I had caught it as soon as it started trading on Bittrex when some lucky people shipped it almost 1:1 for BTC, cause I don't really want to hold it.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano Speculations on: November 21, 2017, 12:25:18 PM
I've been hearing a lot of good things that point to big gains down the road, like being accepted at a hotel in Barcelona. I bought in under 300 sat so I'm already pretty pleased with the way ADA has been trending upwards.
