You claim that Jl777 hasn't finished even the smallest projects in the last 6 years, I'd like to know which ones. Thank you
You are right! Because at that time you probably were not familiar with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies! TL;DR : James defined about dozens of crypto projects in year of 2014 and after that. then he was created and offered assets for each project on NXT platform. After that, time passed and no progress was made in the projects. then these assets were undervalued and obliterated, and many investors were affected like me. after that the game has continued until today, by converting it's projects to each other and changing their names and goals. I was also active in the crypto universe at James' NXT times. I also own these assets. These assets were migrated to the KMD chain. Projects like JumblR, Dex and other assets have been functional for a long time now - Dex is even the world leader with over 116000 Atomic Swaps! So I can't understand the statement that many projects were not finished here. For example, SuperNET. SuperNet is active, please better inform - so do you have another example for me ? If it's active, is it paying dividends!? i don't think so. Plus it's not trading, doesn't appear to be worth anything. I could be wrong. Asset revenue/dividend streams are threshold-based. As for trading, not actively listed on any CEX but still traded OTC and via BD (prior to the MM2 ramp up). Last I recall (and it has been awhile), Supernet was priced at around 25-35 KMD per.

With ABC's checkpointing, what's the point anymore? They are now two independent chains. If there was shadow mining going on it, the point is moot.

Who knows what happened to the pool arrr.pool-mining.xyz? In the morning it is impossible to connect the miner and lunch even the site stopped loading.

Please download the new version of Agama if you're using Komodo lite mode to claim rewards. It includes a critical SPV reward claim fix. Using an older version will likely have issues and they may experience daemon crashes. https://komodoplatform.com/komodo-wallets/ #crypto #wallet $KMD Not relevant at all to this thread.

0.2.42c is the latest. The one on komodoplatform.com will be updated soon by the team. Komodo team should think about a different and more clearer versioning. Sometimes, it is very confusing, not only for beginners but even for advanced users. How is it confusing? 42 > 41. The reason it isn't on the website yet is that it was being beta tested from PIRATE integration, among other things.

Hello! Will there be any discounts for large investors? And what kind of sum should this be?
kawasakius That's a good question!!! I want to expand on that, if you don't mind!! Are there any discounts for investors at all? How does one qualify for such a discount?? Thank you for the response, devs. You're doing great so far! This isn't an ICO....

With the customizability of independent asset chains and the goal of allowing anyone to create a blockchain on the Komodo Platform, any thoughts on adding additional POW algorithms, maybe with an -algo flag? I'm just thinking about giving users the ability to choose how their asset chain is secured instead of simply equihash (or proof of stake) and dpow.
Personally, I'd like to see the popular ones: SHA256, Scrypt, X11, and Ethash but no idea of the feasibility of this idea. Verushash is also interesting from a cpu/gpu relationship but a bit nichey at the moment.
So this doesn't get lost. JL, any chance you can weigh in the feasibility of this customization?

The MGNX main airdrop will take place on September 7, 2018 18:00 EST. All MGN holders who submit forms after this time will be rejected! A snapshot will be taken a few minutes before conducting the drop, so be sure not to move funds between addresses after submission.
I will create a pull request for Agama wallet integration and the BarterDEX exchange listing today.
Upcoming Magna Development The next step after MGNX integration, is activating BIP66 on MGN for compatibility of atomic swaps. In doing so, we can get Magna listed to the Barter DEX, where the 2 projects can be swapped interchangeably.
Upcoming MagnaX Development Chain Notarization Participating in early tests for Komodo's colored token system, which would give users the ability to create their own assets on the MGNX asset chain Further exchange listings
So what happens to the MGNX that was mined on the third chain (is that getting airdropped on the new chain)? I see that the chain has now restarted for a fourth time and the nodes in the OP do not seem to work. Stays stuck at block 0.

Whats the best avenue to get the most up to date information on komodo. Is there a slack, telegram or discord group that is better than the other. Can anyone link me to one of those groups, i would appreciate it. Thanks
All the activity is happening in discord w/ numerous channels dedicated to various areas of the platform.

My batch 2 Z9's were shipped from HK and I only had to pay $21 per miner in duties (shipped to Virginia in the US). The came in via CINCINNATI HUB - USA. I have had other Bitmain order come through their NY HUB.

DHL delivered my batch 2, no customs charges. Yet. I know UPS bills me for the "broker fee". I have never had customs charges, but every shipment I get hit with a fee Didn't come from China like my first batch did but rather HK. Hong Kong is part of China. Yes, but it's different since the British used to own it (no longer the case). One is a developed market (HK), one is emerging (China) in the MSCI indices. HK has its own legal system and acts separately than mainland China. True, but this would have no effect on taxes, tariffs, or duties. Well, I look forward to hearing from HK-shipped ASICs as to whether the receiver was assessed a customs tax--I did not with the origination there but I did when it originated from Shenzhen.

Got it figured out. The config file is in, wait for it, the /config directory.
You can use vi to edit it.
My batch 2 miners will not to more than 650. Still a lot better than 500, but not like the 750 the batch 1 miners do. I tried 680 and they kept falling over so I settled on 650 for now.
That put you around 14k sol?

They will all eat dust. I think GPU mineable algos will be the upcoming trend. There is a big niche, a big community and a big market (gpu miner) waiting to become loyal supporters. The more powerful ASIC becomes, more powerful will be the asic-resistant algos. Those projects who were after easy money and gave up soon will regret later, when real competition enters.
GPU miners will always have something to mine. When BTC moved to ASICs, scrypt happened, then X11, then ethash and equihash. The main issue nowadays is that Bitmain has achieved such scale that they can ramp up production faster, assuming coins are worthwhile to manufacture an ASIC for.
