I'm thinking about submitting this to their site, but this looks like a potential candidate for a printable gun:

http://heizerfirearms.com/ ...
Kinda cool, but the price... wow. I am going to also have to be able to print money.

something many have not thought about....3d printers......counterfeiting

can't print bitcoins Wink Wink Wink

Why would you need a 3D printer for a flat paper bill?

A borderline-homicidal Caucasian is more likely to kill a Negroid than he is to kill another Caucasian, considering primal xenophobia and all.
Bullshit.

5) Unless you don't care what they'll use it for as long as you get paid, in which case you'll sell to anyone who wants one. Free market and all. There are plenty of criminals, so I'm sure you can make a good living catering their needs.
Oh, certainly. Until you get tracked down by people ready and willing to hold you accountable for those actions. Then you're in trouble.

If tracking them down was easy, then the Armory would still be in business.

I never said it would be easy. But your statement just proves a point I made earlier. We can't stop it from happening now. If the bad guys can get them, why prevent the good guys?

I agree with your point earlier. I just don't think going after dealers will work, even if you only want to hold them liable/accountable. We can only punish gun owners, and even then only AFTER they reveal their gun ownership.

I'm proud, you guys. "Fuck voting" is now in the lead.

Why should I care what anarchists think if when we ASK their opinions, they refuse to provide them? If your goal is to protest democracy, then you can write-in a fellow anarchist.

That's like asking a vegetarian which meat they prefer.

So they can
* write in "vegetables" and everyone knows how many are vegetarian, or
* whine about the question and get counted as "ok with all meats"

You left out:
* convince other people meats are bad for your health, and that picking a favorite meat only encourages heart disease.

To further stretch this metaphor, picking a favorite meat is even more ridiculous when the healthy meats like chicken and fish are kept out of the contest by encouraging the idea that it's only a contest between bacon and beef.

That third option is identical to my second one. Whining about the question. If you pick "vegetables" as your favorite meat it's obvious to everyone that you're really a vegetarian.

What does refusing to vote tell everyone else? That there's no pleasing those vegetarians. Until we redefine the dialog under their terms, they'll stamp their feet and pout their lips, unwilling to dignify our question with an answer. Why compromise with people who won't reciprocate?

By convincing otherwise third-party voters to stay home, YOU'RE promoting the two-party sytem. Even if you're the only person voting for an anarchist and it doesn't show up on the final tally, it still decreases the percentage of total votes supporting Obama/Romney - gets counted as "none of the above" instead of "any of the above".

If we lived in Anarchy Land, I would move to a private community where we voted on things. I wouldn't "refuse to legitimize" the status quo and not participate, which is indistinguishable from the vast majority of people who just don't care about politics.

FWIW it makes perfect sense to me, but I've been playing with OT baskets. A little diagram of the baskets as issued, split up, etc would help if anyone gets confused.

Is there a list of OT servers anywhere? I thought it was just markm's server and random test servers.

Hey 420 are you going to start a MMJ & Bitcoin club lol....
interesting thought i dont think MMJ users would likely be capable of understanding a cryptocurrency, hashing, & programming...
Perhaps you'd be surprised. Wink

Voting for a libertarian will be a "waste of time" until so many people do it that people like you feel like their vote matters.

If you want that day to come sooner, vote anyways to send a message: "we haven't given up".
272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AnCap vs. Socialism on: August 21, 2012, 06:11:25 PM
So first the unwillingness of states to coordinate taxation allowed the "race to the bottom" to persist, severely limiting income tax revenue and delaying Marx's dream. And now, on the Bitcoin forum we're discussing the income tax as if we haven't digitally signed its death warrant ourselves.

Then the socialists say we won't need to "worry" about the future, because Big Brother will have it all under control and everything will be OK for everyone. All unknown future disasters are within His ability to manage without any starvation at all. Whatever happens no matter what, He has us covered. There is absolutely no chance that Big Brother will fuck up at all ever.

Here in reality, if there's ANY chance that either my family or yours will starve for any reason, no matter how small, then I have an incentive to save "my" money. I'll do it either by moving or by hiding it, and tough luck for those of you who disagree.
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Officially, I quit my day job. Anyone else hate their job/boss? on: August 21, 2012, 01:38:27 PM
My boss is a cool guy and my job is basically my dream job. Even if I was unhappy, why would I quit and give up a goodly amount of income in this economy?
I wish I made a goodly amount...

I grant your wish! You shall now make as much as the goddess Penia.

Correct, which is what mandatory liability insurance would do. You haven't justified just having one sweeping policy for the foolish and wise alike.

Would you rather face a robber while you are armed or unarmed?

I'm not disputing American aggression. I'm disputing a causality between permissive gun laws and homocide rate, so you'd have to show how homocides decrease in jurisdictions once gun bans are enacted.

What sweeping policy have I proposed?
Gun prohibition before "we're" grown up, and legalization after. This is opposed to handling it on a case-by-case basis with liability insurance.

I have been robbed. I was unarmed and gave up what little I had on me. He got a little cash, I got away unharmed. Had I been armed I might have resisted which would have ended badly for one of us.
Do you always rely on personal anecdote to support your political beliefs? Perhaps armed AntiCap would be reflecting on how he could have been stabbed anyways.
275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll for Gun Control Advocates on: August 17, 2012, 10:26:45 PM
If your goal is to prevent harm to others, then you also want to prevent the potential harm from NOT having a gun. Since the whole group won't grow up at the same time, it's more fair and efficient to evaluate this on a case-by-case basis with mandatory liability insurance (like cars). That way you won't deem society ready and give guns to idiots, and won't deem society unready and deny guns to to cautious trained citizens.

Gun laws DON'T reduce murders, look it up if you don't believe me.

Like I said in my OP I think it's the culture that needs to change. In a violent culture you need to limit the access to dangerous things.

You would also rather be accidentally stabbed during a robbery, than accidentally shot. Or even intentionally stabbed come to think about it.

The US is far higher than Canada, Europe or Australia, which are the usual comparison objects. Three to four times higher.

Like taking pointy objects away from out-of-control children.

Here's a good starting point:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paternalism

Seems about right. "the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant. He cannot rightfully be compelled to do or forbear because it will be better for him to do so, because it will make him happier, because, in the opinion of others, to do so would be wise, or even right."

When US-ians stop shooting at each other and start behaving like other countries gun-wielding citizens, they can have their guns back.

If your goal is to prevent harm to others, then you also want to prevent the potential harm from NOT having a gun. Since the whole group won't grow up at the same time, it's more fair and efficient to evaluate this on a case-by-case basis with mandatory liability insurance (like cars). I'm also failing to understand your rationale for the limit.

Who are you? The "about us" page didn't have your names or addresses, nor did a whois.

Do you plan to eventually use multisignature transactions?

I normally enjoy engineering, it can be very fun/interesting/rewarding. But my employers recently put me on a bullshit project where I manually time how long it takes ANOTHER guy to do manual labor. Since I have ADHD, going from autonomy and producing results to... this... has been excruciating in a way that is difficult for me to describe. I'd rather be the guy doing the manual labor if I could keep my paycheck.

It actually coincided with the current rally, so I've found myself entertaining "I quit" fantasies similar to what you guys describe. C'mon $1000/BTC! Cheesy

Is it possible to run an exchange where users must opt out of any/all legal recourse? I'd rather risk losing everything I've invested in a site than have to indirectly pay for liability, just because of the inefficiency of the legal system. It's not like the settlement money comes out of thin air - all similar business will now need to pass this cost onto consumers.

Either way we pay for risk, let me cut out the middleman if I want.
