281  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 28, 2023, 10:39:27 PM
I really admire people capable of keeping bitcoins in their wallets for years without even moving them. I see wallets that their owners never moved coins from for 10 years and wonder how they do it. If you're a HODLer. when do you hope to sell? Would you cash out if Bitcoin soars to $100,000 or sit back and wait until it gets to a million?

ONLY for HODLers please. PLease share when you'll be happy to sell.
The answer to these questions varies from one investor to another based on their patience, emotional control, needs, defined selling goals and targets, strategies, and the profit rates they have achieved. In addition, it depends on each holder's belief in the future of Bitcoin and its modern technology. Firstly, reaching a price of $100K for Bitcoin is not considered difficult, as historical Bitcoin prices and previous halving events indicate the feasibility of this scenario. For me, achieving a Bitcoin price at this level would be highly satisfying as it would result in substantial profits. However, I wouldn't sell all of my holdings at this price. Perhaps I would sell a reasonable portion of my holdings, freeze some of the capital in stablecoins until the price corrects, and consider repurchasing. I can hold the remaining quantity for the long term. Predicting the exact price Bitcoin might reach in the near future is challenging due to its volatile nature. Regardless, positive indicators, events, news, and the ongoing adoption of Bitcoin lead us to believe that Bitcoin will surpass our expectations in the end and reach a price that will be recorded in the history of cryptocurrencies someday.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: December 28, 2023, 09:13:12 PM
What are your thoughts? Have you ever tried it before, and if yes, do you believe it's worth a try?
I had tried participating in a project's launchpool, using the USDT, which the FDUSD has now replaced. Participation was useless because those who staked the USDT only received 20% of the allocation of the project's tokens. As for those who stake the BNB, they received 80%, and what I found frankly is that whales and those who have large amounts of money will have this matter profitable for them, as they will receive a large percentage of the allocations thanks to the vast capital that they have and their possession of a large number of BNB. As for those with small capitals and those holding stablecoins, the situation is different for them, and what I see is that the price of BNB may move upward immediately after Binance starts launching the project on the Launchpool and after Launchpool ends and the project's taken be listed on Binance, whales may start selling incrementally, which could lead to a massive loss for BNB holders more than the profits they made from Launchpool, I generally do not prefer tokens backed by centralized exchange platforms.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google and X ads are the new weapon for crypto scammers on: December 27, 2023, 11:25:35 PM
If we know where and how scammers employ their weapons, that alone is sufficient to make us cautious when encountering any advertisement in the first search results on Google or any tweet posted on an account on platform X, even if the account is verified with a checkmark and has thousands of followers. Indeed, we should not take any ads on phone applications, or even those promoted on social media or search engines, lightly without conducting thorough research. Most beginners might believe that the mere presence of an advertisement in the top search results and on social media platforms means it is legitimate, endorsed, and reviewed. However, there is not enough oversight, and there is no effective means to prevent scammers from exploiting these ads.

285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment is kind on: December 27, 2023, 07:25:13 PM
So myself I have decided to launch a vehicle parts shops in my city by January 2024 and I have decided to use Bitcoin as one of the criteria of payment because of what I'm seeing for bitcoin increment and my country that permit for cryptocurrency transaction in my country, secondly I want to start having my own bitcoin with the payment of my vehicle parts, I don't know if mempool of bitcoin [...]
Firstly, I wish you success in your business, and I hope there is increasing interest in the new store you have launched. The positive aspect is that your country allows the use of Bitcoin, putting you in a legal position to utilize Bitcoin as a payment method for your store freely. Indeed, I don't know how much vehicle spare parts cost in your country, but if the prices are significantly lower than Bitcoin fees, it would be a considerable loss for the customer initially. As someone suggested, you could wholesale items using Bitcoin or adopt it as an alternative payment method without abandoning it. You may also consider using BTC on the LN network to receive payments or even receive payment in stablecoins on economic networks with low fees and less congestion. Afterward, you can buy Bitcoin and invest without burdening the customer with fees and the current network congestion, which will be resolved soon with sufficient solutions in place.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are there any bitcoin faucets nowadays !! on: December 27, 2023, 06:34:19 PM
seems the gold days are gone  Roll Eyes

are there still any bitcoin faucet today ??
Yes, those golden days are now gone. Most Bitcoin faucet sites have closed their services, and many have become scams. There are still some faucets available on particular websites or applications, but you need a miracle to reach the minimum withdrawal threshold. It takes long hours over days or even months of claiming, inviting friends, or watching ads to accumulate a small amount of Bitcoin. And perhaps, after all the effort and time spent collecting this amount, they may not pay you in the end.

I advise you not to waste your time on these faucets and focus on more profitable and reliable ways to earn Bitcoin and achieve substantial profits. So, forget about this matter and concentrate on assured and more beneficial endeavors that preserve your time and effort.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where TO Find Quality Air Drops on: December 26, 2023, 11:51:26 PM
Can I know where I can find quality airdrops? I started doing airdrops but No idea whether they are scams or not. And also I have a question regarding tweeter tasks of the airdrops, they say to like their twitter page and retweet. but There are two options when it comes to retweet, "Repost" and ''Quote"
what should I do? retweet or quote? please answer
Finding a legitimate airdrop is not an easy task. There are influencers and writers who share these airdrops on X, Telegram, YouTube, and Binance Square and provide instructions on how to participate and details about them; there are many websites that list upcoming airdrops, but not all of the promoted airdrops are legitimate, and worth participating in. You expose yourself to significant risks if you lack sufficient experience in identifying scam airdrops and phishing sites. Additionally, you can participate in the Bounties (Altcoins) Campaigns section here in the forum, but you need to conduct your own research and choose a trustworthy bounty manager.

As for airdrops requiring you to retweet, you will complete the task when you click "Repost" for the specified tweet.
288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [INFO} Be aware of https://privnote.co/ on: December 26, 2023, 10:07:52 PM
I was using the cell phone and googled privnote to send in private a message to another user...and guess what was on the very top of the search results...yep the scam site https://privnote.co/
I've seen this scam site before in one of the topics on the forum, and what's strange is that the scam domain ending with .co is still alive and hasn't been dropped yet. Indeed, Google ads have become suspicious, and, unfortunately, there isn't a thorough review/check of ads for scam websites promoted by scammers, which appear in the top search results after they pay the required fees. Honestly, I find the "private note" service, allowing users to create online notes, unhelpful and unnecessary, thanks to the existence of communication apps managed by major companies, unlike these sites where we don't know who stands behind them and their privacy protection. Moreover, The matter gets worse if you use them, give important data, or conduct financial transactions through them. Anyway, we can report this scam site through the registrar >webnic.cc.
289  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: humerh3 is a scammer on: December 26, 2023, 08:33:42 PM
I wanted to ask if this guy humerh3 is a scam

I have now reviewed everything posted on his Telegram channel and have reported it to the Telegram team for review. How can you, OP, believe in these absurd offers that make no sense? What @holydarkness mentioned and the negative feedback on this scammer's account are clear evidence that he is an untrustworthy member. His offers are fake, and he posted them only to lure and scam members. 10 BTC equals $421,000 at the current Bitcoin price, man!

Please be cautious and do not fall for any Irrational offers like these that do not make sense. Avoid members with tagged accounts and newbie members.
on: December 25, 2023, 11:41:48 PM

291  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Campaigns in the Service Board on: December 23, 2023, 08:25:46 PM
I agree here with some opinions and solutions that I consider good to some extent:

1- We should not abandon the Bitcoin network and that payment is not made in altcoins, because by doing so we will be abandoning Bitcoin and not helping in expanding it and using its network on a large scale.

2- Payment can be made any day during the week without specifying a specific day, only when we find lower fees on the network.

3- I have an opinion, and it is possible that many will not agree with me. Instead of the client bearing the fees or Hhampuz bearing them from his pocket, why don’t the campaign payments be reduced slightly so that the participants can bear them? This would depend on the current fees; some participants may bear these fees in one week, and others may bear them in the following weeks. When the fees are distributed among hundreds of participants, it will be as if each person paid a dollar from his pocket in exchange for reducing the current burden on one person. This will not last long in light of finding future solutions to achieve balance in the network.
292  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - walletsupportdesk.weebly.com - fake service asking user's seed phrase on: December 22, 2023, 11:12:41 PM
 Grin Grin

It seems that this scammer is not targeting beginners, but rather targeting people who may be unbalanced or crazy. Cheesy
He could not even place an effective connect button for the wallet but instead had put a rectangle for entering seed phrases. He was not content with this level of absurdity, but he put a very cunning scam trick on the free Weebly platform so that he would not bother to buy a domain for a few dollars. Really, he's a comical and greedy scammer.

Thank you OP, and it's a good thing his account is banned now, so we don't die laughing xD

296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 21, 2023, 08:03:09 PM
Instead Litecoin does not charge you almost no fees and it is very comfortable to use although it is quite slow.
For me, it's preferable to use coins based on cheaper networks when conducting small to medium transactions to save on fees. There's no need to lose a few dollars on a network with high fees when I can do the same with much lower costs on other networks and currencies. Indeed, Litecoin is suitable in terms of fee cost and transaction speed within its network, but not as slow as you mentioned. Mining a Litecoin block is faster than Bitcoin, taking only two and a half minutes to confirm a transaction. Also, the quickest and cheapest option is BNB, as the BSC network has minimal fees and a block time of no more than 5 seconds. Bitcoin and Ethereum can be used when the transaction amount is significant, as there is a slim chance of reducing transaction values and significant price volatility occurs, similar to other currencies.
297  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚨🚨🚨 DON'T USE ANY DAPP(Ledger's ConnectKit library compromised) on: December 21, 2023, 06:51:05 PM
Yesterday ledger-recover, today ledger-connect, and tomorrow we are going to have another ledger ''surprise''  Tongue
How about if I make one better suggestion, don't use ledger wallet and shitcoins at all, than I can guarantee you will be much safer and you won't have to worry so much.
I completely agree with you; abandoning the Ledger wallet is better.

What happened before, and what was mentioned by OP in his topic, indicates their failure and inability to safeguard their clients' funds. They were not vigilant enough to address the Ledger ConnectKit incident promptly. The malicious version remained active for five hours, causing significant financial losses for their clients. Personally, I've lost confidence in this hardware wallet and can't keep even a single dollar in it. There are open-source and reliable alternatives instead of this expensive wallet, which is not free from technical issues and strange incidents. How can a company the size of Ledger not prevent a former employee from accessing NPMJS? What negligence is this? I do not think that the saying that Ledger is one of the best and most secure cold wallets will last long.
298  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cfoptionnetwork - Ponzi scheme on: December 21, 2023, 05:48:04 PM
Someone claiming to be able to make 70+$/day? May seem plausible but after seeing the rest of their offerings, I am well convinced that the schemes are ponzi and the money if sent is on a one way ticket out of your pocket.
These false claims, promises, and temptations are nothing but their attempts to lure beginners into the abyss. Anyone who believes these lies is a person who has neglected to use his intellect and has not gained sufficient knowledge in the investment field.

Through some research, I found another domain for the same Ponzi scheme, with an interface and content identical to it, which is apexreconminers[.]com

Code:
Domain Name: APEXRECONMINERS.COM
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.ownregistrar.com
Registrar URL: http://www.ownregistrar.com
Updated Date: 2023-07-27T09:45:27Z
Creation Date: 2023-07-26T01:29:44Z

As you can see, the Ponzi scheme can be replicated in more than one domain, so if one domain is taken down, they move on to promote another with other names.

Flag supported. Thank you, OP.
299  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kelpdao Twitter Hacked on: December 20, 2023, 11:48:19 PM
Thank you for sharing this warning.

Fortunately, Kelp DAO has regained control of their account on X. They have stated that their official domain, smart contracts, and dApp were not affected by what happened to their X account, and they assure they are safe to use now. The hacking occurred due to a third-party application that granted unauthorized posting permissions to the attackers in their official X account.

From what happened, we can infer that it's essential not to connect our social media accounts to any unknown third-party applications, as they can exploit these permissions and gain partial or full access to the account. Research, focus, and attention are crucial when encountering suspicious tweets from projects we follow. Never open any link without reading it thoroughly and confirming that it is the official domain.

300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: STOP! Before you become a prey of a scammer! on: December 20, 2023, 10:53:56 PM
The frequency of scams has indeed increased in 2023 more than ever, possibly due to the advancements in the crypto industry and the growing number of investors and traders in this field. Scammers are constantly on the lookout, targeting cryptocurrency holders, especially beginners, who may be easily deceived due to their lack of sufficient experience and unfamiliarity with common scam schemes. Regarding what OP mentioned, social media platforms are now crowded with phishing sites related to airdrops and posts containing enticing offers from fraudulent platforms that promise newcomers substantial amounts immediately upon registration and activating promo codes. Pump and dump groups are also well-known traps, and many beginners may believe what is posted there and invest based on it. Therefore, any investor, airdrop hunter, or trader should conduct thorough research before taking any action and avoid making hasty decisions in connecting their wallets, depositing funds into any unknown exchanges, or investing based on recommendations from anonymous people. Trust should not be placed blindly, as artificial intelligence can be unbelievably dangerous.
