Can someone help me out with solar mining? I have some solar panels without battery backup and I'm thinking of using it for mining during the day when sun is up, is this going to work without battery backup? I'd appreciate any tutorial or past experience and lessons

Hi All,
Am trying out Pheonix Miner for the 1st time (claymore stopped working)
Using Ubuntu, and AMD rx470 4Gb, using amdgpu-pro-17.40 drivers
Can't get it to mine, Pheonix quits after 2 secs into starting
Have made the swap space for Ubuntu big enough for 4 cards, x 4Gb + 4 as recommended
Have tried these options: -amd -altinit -eres 0 -lidag 3
and :
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
can't get it to work, does anyone have any ideas....?

PhoenixMiner 5.0 AMD driver 20.4.1 RX5700(XT) works fine
I tell you more - With WHQL 20.4.2 version PM also works fine. But 20.5.1 - not. 20.4.2 had mem clock problems with navi.Pls someone recommend driver for both navi and polaris cards without anybug.19.11.3 no problems but not recommend PM devs. |

It depends how you modded your card, but 5700 xt can do around 59mhs Hi Doc, just tried SRB :55.7 PM:57.3 in miner screen, 5700 non XT 1400 core 930 mem Did you use default settings ? Because defaults are set too low (intensity 22), 24-25 should be a good value. Changed intensity in config file same result on win10 {

V0.4.4+ added 'ethash' algorithm + added 'ubqhash' algorithm + added parameter '--esm' to set ethash/ubqhash stratum mode for pool (0 - eth-proxy, 1 - miner-proxy) + added parameter 'esm' to pools config (ethash/ubqhash stratum mode for pool (0 - eth-proxy, 1 - miner-proxy)) + added parameter '--enable-ethash-leak-fix' which tries to workaround AMD driver memory leak when recreating DAG + fixed algo switching and tweak_profiles miner freeze bug + --gpu-tweak-profile option can now be used with auto gpu setup in cmd I'm a little too late with adding ethash right ?  If you have a Navi based gpu then you will be happy because SRB is now probably the fastest ETHASH and UBQHASH miner on those (RX 5500/5600/5700 supported). All this thanks to Wolf9466. Of course Vega56/64, RX4xx/5xx also work, but since the stuff is written in OpenCL, and not in ASM as in other ETHASH miners, your hashrate can/will be lower. In this case 'tweak_profile' parameter can be your good friend. 4GB cards will probably work a few epochs longer than on other miners. Oh and Ethash works with nicehash and their weird protocols. Problem is a am getting about 140W from the wall per card. I see people doing under 100W. What I am missing?

130-140W is normal consumption, this GPU cannot be under 100W from the wall! Agree. Same results from my rigs even with vddc 706mv... |

This mod is only good for those with free electricity like myself, I find the power usage to be way higher which makes the mod not that great, if there is a way to lower the power then please drop
Mod needs more cclock thats why consumption more. my findings just %2-3 more consumption %7-8 more hash ,so it's good at all. |

Better to share just micron and samsung straps..moded my ref 5700 bios but just increased 1mh, soon will try 5700xt bios.
