Windows client not available, you have reached your daily traffic allowance! (poor planning)

Well whoever is right/wrong, you are arguing over value before you have created any!

I can tell you now there is a well established issue with using names similar to an established name in the same or similar line of business. eBay will have you in court before you can blink if you try and get this project going with that name! I know, i looked at identical project 3 years ago!

120 confirms a block havent seen that in a while brings me back  Roll Eyes

It's not specified otherwise in the OP, so I just went with the default.

Anyone who has been solo mining know how many confirms the client is requiring for newly generated coins to be fully confirmed?

Anywhere between 90~150

It wasnt quick to say the least   Smiley

On contrary, the solo confirms are very fast < 10 mins.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eSportsMoney [ESM]: The Currency of eSports! ZERO PREMINE on: January 07, 2014, 09:30:29 AM
at 2000 kh/s would it better to solo mine or pool mine this coin?

btw awesome work on this coin!

I would solo at that level, should see a block every (diff*constant/hash rate/seconds in hour) which
for you is: 0.6 * 2^32/2000000/3600 = 0.35 of an hour.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eSportsMoney [ESM]: The Currency of eSports! ZERO PREMINE on: January 07, 2014, 09:25:35 AM
If current block is  2496, at approx a block a minute, implies minings been running for 40 hours! I thought this coin wasn't premined?Huh?
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Drivers: 13.12 vs 13.11b9 ? on: January 07, 2014, 08:22:15 AM
I started with the 13.11, works fine (Though I have some instability issues on Asus P8P67 boards), I upgraded one rig to 13.12, didn't notice any perceptable change (possibly/maybe 2-3KH/s slower per gpu after upgrade, but cannot be certain yet).

So I guess either will do.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 2% fee on: January 07, 2014, 04:49:16 AM
Ok so if this guy is the spike on the dec 28th. He got away with around 19-20 btc (17,000 USD today) and I don't know about the other exchanges or if they are intertwined. Suffice to say he has stolen money and is therefore breaking the law. The government would be interested to know that he did so without paying any taxes on this either. If he is linked to other pools doing the same thing the FEDS would certainly like to know about it as would the Taxman.

I'd highly suggest that anyone in the United States report him and this thread along with this ties to the teeshirt company ASAP and keep pounding away until someone listens.

It is basically a Ponzi Scheme and I'm pretty sure as smart as he might think he is... he's pretty much fucked.

https://vircurex.com/welcome/index?alt=doge&base=btc&locale=en
If you create an account on this site you will see the spike on the 28th. and Again on the 4th of Jan.

He could have possibly gotten away with over 50,000 USD or more... and there's gonna be a trail he cant hide from. I can't do anything from my country but an American can from any State. We might not get our doge but he will get his ass raped in jail.
I already pointed this out, but those americans that responded, did so with derision. They seem to have no faith whatsoever in US law enforcment to execute what should be a fairly simple investigation and arrest. Wish he had done it here in UK.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3 r9 290 on one PSU on: January 06, 2014, 09:25:01 PM
Thank you.  IT seems a 1300W unit would not power 4 290's though.  I think they pull ~300 each card.  It leaves virtually no heardroom for cpu/mb/ram.

Actually depends on whether you undervolt or not. I'm running 2 x Asus R9 280x per board at moment (Which are voltage locked), and at the wall, with 60w system overhead, they pull 650w,  ie about 295w each, so the 1300w for four cards would probably be running too close to capacity for long periods, though you have to remember the ratings are AT THE RAIL, so a 1300w will probably go to 1430w at the wall.

I'm actually going with twin Seasonic 850's per rig, I like to leave lots of headroom, it also keeps the cabling easier (No splitters required).
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: r9 280x Sapphire only 600kh/s on Xubuntu Linux. on: January 06, 2014, 09:10:09 PM
Another thought, if you have had different cards in it's always worth forcing an initialisation of the X config for ati adapters.

Use: aticonfig --initial --force

And do a cold reboot after.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: r9 280x Sapphire only 600kh/s on Xubuntu Linux. on: January 06, 2014, 08:57:52 PM
8191 for thread concurrency? surely you mean 8192.

I read somewhere that cgminer works better with odd numbers. And it really gets me ~10kh/s more with that setting.

Sadly your settings are not improving my mining rig. =\
Running with 560kh/s now.

As i presumed its not because of cgminer settings i think....more something with driver or hardware mayve?
Which Linux version do you run howardb?

Could it be that the PCU has some issues? Or the GPU is somehow restricted. I remember the GPU was a lot louder and hotter (But thats maybe because it was in an case) on the Windows PC. But had 780kh/s. Currently the GPU is running at 73°C with 47% fan.

Cheers
I'm using Linux bamt 1.2 Which is:
Distributor ID: Debian
Description:    Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.4 (squeeze)
Release:        6.0.4
Codename:       squeeze

PS: If you need a clone image of what I have, no problem, it's 4GB dongle, pm me.

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is there hashrate website somewhere? on: January 06, 2014, 09:27:03 AM
I'm interested to know if I can track the network hash rates of the alts in close to real time. Does anyone know of decent website for this?

1000 watt psu depending on 300~ per GPU, thats just cutting it get bigger amount if you are hooking more things to the mobo, like hd, etc...

The EVGA 1300w seems to be fairly common for the big cards, you could run 4 x R9 280x with one of them.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: Difficulty Increase Prediction Poll on: January 02, 2014, 05:38:21 PM
Thats a bit like guessing what's under the clothes by looking at the face! It's meaningless by itself. Try guessing the $/GH/S/Day to give it some substance.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 2% fee on: January 02, 2014, 12:27:26 AM
Anybody have a rough guess of how much money Phonetic ran away with?
I did a rough calc back when he bolted of $25k-35k, but because so many idiots have left their miners running the whole time, add $6k/day since. I bet he cannot believe his luck how many idiots continue to trust his pool.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 2% fee on: January 01, 2014, 07:50:21 AM
What the hell you need a lawyer for? Since his IP is in Kansas, any one of you US citizens should be able to complain directly to police, and let them do the leg work. Bit trickier for us Brit's though.

lol! "Hello Kansas police? Yeah see this guy stole my Dogecoin..."
ok, laugh, I don't know abour your laws, I assume they are not too different to ours, and over here we have a specific offence called 'obtaining goods and services by deception', he has clearly obtained the services of our miners by deception, and if he was in UK I would be down the local police station in a heartbeat, and they would be obliged to investigate!

How about fixing the windows client download? amazed anyone is using this coin with that broken.

Also notice both blockchain explorer links are busted, so pretty hard to verify any transactions! All in all a bust IMHO
