861  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: October 14, 2013, 08:01:02 PM
Please note this proposal will necessarily have an execution deadline of midnight 15 October (UTC) in order to ensure ample notice for delivery re-routing, as required.

It seems time is running out,

Can we have an update of our current options or if there were any modifications/changes to existing options?
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 07:53:03 PM
Bitcoinorama, have you provided an update on KNC's progress today?  That's all the vast majority of readers of this thread want!

More to the point. have KnC?
Bitcoinorama's words are welcome but not legally binding for KnC, which is useful for them. They can just disown them as an error or any number of things.

The question should be why aren't they speaking, here, email updates, forum of their own..silence. Wasn't like that before they dug this hole was it?

Dude they are split between the manufacturing facility and the hosting centre, and programming firmware revisions. They updated you Friday. Do you really want minute by minute updates? or does the only thing that matter be that boxes are assembled, tracking numbers are pinged from UPS, hardware and hosting becomes stable and runs optimally?

They've had guys fly in from General Electric and Cisco, to double check that everything adheres to their recommendations, and are working round the clock to ensure you are actually getting your devices, the only thing that matters, which cannot be denied, as people are and the network hashrate reflects that. Customer service works fine, if you want reassurance. They have a backlog to clear but they want you to be happy with what you get. Again they are light years ahead of anyother company you have had dealings with so far. They've shipped more boxes than Avalon managed, and shipped more hashrate than BFL ever have - in two weeks!

When you buy a new car, do you even think what the members of staff are doing in the offices or factory? No. You just hope they have a working system and aren't running around like headless chickens unable to deliver that shiny motor the brochure promised.

What BFL did ..who cares? What Sam and his staff are doing...who cares? They should be cruising now, all orders out of the door, after all that's what we've had from them ad nausea. "Everything is on schedule" "Margins upon margins" etc. If they are struggling it's the result of their own actions. They had months to wait for the chips, the chips arrived in time barely...wtf were they doing all that time if not planning this to perfection? They didn't even plan packing properly and it was so obviously shite it wasn't funny. They reject the people who wrote their mining software and then spend two weeks fucking about at customer's expense on the back of that, then brag about flying "experts" from the states over a fucking power supply? Oh and Cisco..presumably to sort their hosting out since that went down today without warning or explaination to the poor fuckers who paid through the nose for it and were trying to find out why..an email there might have been appreciated?

Truth is, they were talking shit and would be if they were talking at all. Despite being asked for figures , a % of rigs shipped, or numbers left to ship...no-one has a solid idea when their rig will arrive. Orders are in progress for days? Really?

I hope some of your loyalty rubs off on them, so we can have a bit in return for funding their whole business so they could play this huge gamble at zero risk. Seems that even if they pull it off we still lose.

I have 11 Jupiters hosted and none of them went down today at least for me, Eligius did get DDoS'd last night.

Well, that escalated quickly. But seriously, Who would give you their exact Order number and other private infos? After what BFL  did regarding forced refunds for too loudly voiced opinions?

No one's going to force refund anyone, you have my word, and I have never lied to anyone here. He is not a customer.

Careful, he will say you force refunded him just to smear your name, provide zero proof of this happening, and then the loonies on this thread will try to lynch you.

Since you did not quote anything of my last post regarding your inquiry I gather you were satisfied with it?

Sure, I have a feeling you didn't quote Sam's entire response though. (Sorry for nitpicking Smiley)

Shocking to me.

Have a question? Write them an email. Replied to me within 24 hours (And considering the crazies that are in this thread I'm sure their email bin is just filled with Garbage they have to sift through).

It has been decided,

"The Avenger" should be released upon BFL_Josh.

I think that is a fitting sentence considering how irrational and illogical both of them are. I imagine when these two forces meet, it's how stars are born.

There's a brown to the lower dirt there.  From NY, the dirt on LI, except at the shore or out east, was a deep rich dark soil loaded with earthworms.  Early in this planet's history there was a collision with another, smaller, planet and the moon was formed.  I'm convinced the dirt down here in the south is from that alien planet.  It's red as Mars, lies dense as red brick, and has a thin layer of top soil completely unlike anything on LI.  This has to be alien what I'm living on.  What's up north is the real earth.

Sounds like SR closure didnt prevent you from scoring...

868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: October 14, 2013, 05:48:34 PM
Well, things are going good today. The word from assembly is that SMT will be finished today, and testing is underway now.

I hope you are stuffing your face with Turkey while those are being tested. Enjoy the Holiday you deserve it!

Well, so much for customer service. I just got an answer from Sam regarding compensation and he basically told me to screw myself.

basically...?

post the reply
Here you go:

First I’m sorry you feel the need to send such messages.

Secondly I will add that you will not receive any compensation for what you consider late delivery. Under the terms of sale you  agreed to. It’s clearly stated that delivery dates are for information only and are non-binding. We are still going to deliver your miners as fast as we can but we are not going to give compensation for any loses you think you have incurred.
I may also draw your attention to the fact that you have agreed to a business to business purchase not a business to consumer purchase.

That is the gist of it.

I'd be more interested in the email you sent to him for him to come to this reply hah

@Lab_Rat may comment otherwise, but I'd hold off emailing until the 22nd.  If your holdings change between now you'll have to resend, and it will confuse the issue....

My holdings personally won't change so I'm good Tongue

The private key is what enables you to spend the BTC associated with the address.

Test message.  Ignore the dashes above and below when you copy and paste this to verify.

If you can verify this, you've probably figured out enough to sign messages with your own keys.

For the record:

Order #17XX - Paid on 6/9/13 - Status: In Progress (over a week)

With generic reply when asking about this (last week, reply recieved today)

Quote
We are working through the order queue as quickly as possible based on the payment dates of the orders. As soon as your order is fully produced and shipped a tracking number will be sent to the email address which was used to register for your account.

Regards,
Liam

They held off shipping to fix the "Caps blowing" issue. Your unit was likely getting assembled when they made this call.

Haven't heard many more stories about the caps blowing other than Anti-KnC people claiming the boxes blow up and cause nuclear fallout (lol) so shouldn't be much longer.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 03:42:11 PM
Alright. So did Day 1 and Day 2 customers get more than 7 days to "hold their order" spot and pay later and still be ahead of others? (me)

This I am unsure of, I know they definitely had a set period of time to pay in order to hold that position. From what I recall there was a little drama over the way this was handled but that passed.

I believe it was only 7-10 days to make a payment (something about wire transfers etc...)
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 03:33:36 PM
Got a tracking number this morning for my day 2 Jupiter paid on June 10th. Package has not yet arrived at the UPS facility but is scheduled to be delivered on the 16th to the US.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Wait, day 2 is not a June 10 paid order, someone correct me?

I paid the 9th and am not a "day 2 order" - on top of that i'm still sitting "in progress".

"Shipping in order of payment my ass."  Roll Eyes

It has been said time and time again,

Day 1 and 2 are from the Original Queue, you get to hold your "Pre-Order" spots.

Everything after (and maybe some day 2 slots) are on shipped based on payment order.

This is not something new. Has been known for months now.
876  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 13, 2013, 11:43:48 PM
... This will be BTC0.025 per individual.  If your dividends for the week are of equal or lesser value, you will not receive dividends this week.  It appears the amount of bonds you must have in possession is ~20 to receive dividends.

Well this sucks a bit.

So, care to share how much of the 'would-be-dividends' are actually being kept now as a result of this impromptu payout limit?

I did a quick figuring and I could be way off, but I think its around 1600 bonds.. Again, I didn't have time to sift thru every one, so I could be off, so its a rough estimate. So, it would be nice to know what happened to the non payed dividends since they werent sent. It would have been around 2 coins in dividends... Again, im just talking about transparency, 2 bitcoins is not much in the scheme of things. But im sure someone can go thru it with a find tooth comb and  take each holder that has 20 or less and add them up... those apparently weren't paid, so what were the coins used for?

There's 198 different address with 20 Shares or less.

1422 Shares Total from those holders

BTC1.84623948 in dividends from those shares.

187 Shareholders above 20 Shares

BTC4.675 worth of Fees taken out

BTC6.52123948 Total BTC in Fees/Unsent Dividends Minus whatever the actually fees were for sending the transactions (0.0005 transaction fee usually so BTC0.0935 cost to send manually.)

BTC6.42773948 Leftover

This from the asset list as it was roughly 2 minutes ago.

It's very easy to get this, just copy from Bitfunder - Paste into Excel - Sort from Smallest to Largest and there you go.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 13, 2013, 11:01:51 PM
It looks like I may have spoken too soon.  It has now stopped sending shares completely... 2 min offline but the portal says running.

It's almost as if it just switched back to the KNC pool on it's own (remembering the previous settings and resetting to them), without being able to see the pool hashing I can't tell for sure.

That's exactly what was happening, it goes back to the previous pool.

I'd say just keep trying and hope it holds.

You can try putting in your backup pool now, when it fails/kicksover again it should go to your main pool. Tricking it Tongue.

Rest assured that I reported this issue as well so KnC is aware of it. Keep us posted if you fix it Smiley
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 13, 2013, 10:28:59 PM
My hosted miner is exhibiting strange behavior and I'm wondering if anyone has also noticed anything like what I am seeing.

Originally I had setup multiple pools (for backup) in the user interface but could never get the Jupiter to consistently stay connected to one pool, It just would randomly switch to a different pool and start mining.  I've since resorted to only entering one pool address and am only mining at around 420GH.  I had assumed the slow speed was due to hardware errors (which I can't validate as I don't have console or log access).  But now the unit although hashing primarily on my configured pool every once in a while also hashes towards one of the other pool configs that are no longer present. It's almost as if 3 of the 4 modules are hashing towards my configured pool and the 4th is just randomly coming online and hashing to an old config.

Not even sure if that makes sense, just relaying what I'm seeing.

I know I've said this many times, but why the f can't I talk to someone at the data center to troubleshoot this?  I get no response to my emails to support@kncminer.com and when I call the customer service reps can't help.  Sooooo frustrating.

I had this exact issue happen,

I put it back to KnC Pool, left it alone for like 10-15 minutes then put it back on my regular pool and it has worked since.

I have one miner that when I push it to a pool it ramps up hits around 175GH then immediately dies. Watched and tested between various pools over 20 times.

I was told that they are working on the datacenter/hosting today and tomorrow and should resolve these issues along with any miners that are underperforming. Let's hope so Smiley
879  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 13, 2013, 09:26:02 PM
please just shut the fuck up already. what happened to your group lawsuit with "$500k worth"?

you are nothing but a bottomfeeding scum giving out false info/hope then strings the lemmings into a blackhole, wasting everyone's time and money.

I recommend seeing a doctor about these outbursts. They cannot be good for your health.

That being said you are misquoting as usual.

You keyboard warriors are all the same, kicking and screaming on the forum, never to show yourself at any public convention or otherwise.

Take a breath, relax, and try to tell yourself that I'm not worth your time getting this flustered silly.

Edit: Ah I know now why you are so upset, you held Labcoin. Makes sense.

I was looking forward to relaxing on Thanksgiving and eating turkey instead of dealing with getting shipping labels created and sent off.

That's still a month away, I'm hoping these ship a lot sooner than that....
