Who is standing behind this coin? If this is not an anonymous coin than you should announce developers of this project. This can give more trust to coin  Huh
Of course, if the developers had revealed themselves, then undoubtedly this would have caused more confidence from the side of the community and investors. But on the other hand, the basis of cryptocurrencies is anonymity, nobody still knows the developers of bitcoin.

Pretty faces more important to you than years of writing code and publishing to Semux github repo?

You guys must understand that people want to have a decentralised project and choose privacy, so stop bitching and appreciate their hard work.

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: August 08, 2019, 01:26:35 PM
It seems you have not research Tezos. I encourage you that you read up on it.

For example, Tezos consensus mechanism makes it one of the best ones currently on the market. Every person can benefit from participating and delegating and whats the best is that everyone with at least one roll (8k XTZ) can generate blocks. There's a lot of baking nodes because small people can actually generate blocks in the network. That's very clever and a very good decentralization.
There's also smart contract language which is provable and this will make a huge difference when you can prove your contracts correct and bugs free where your dapp might handle $100s of millions and you definitely don't want it to be hacked (like i.e. DAO). Big money will certainly appreciate this. Same as they will appreciate the governance and one Tezos no forks philosophy.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: August 05, 2019, 10:23:53 PM
That's a great news! Tezos is yet not on Binance, It should've been there long ago.. Since Binance has started all these staking services, I think XTZ will be listed there soon.

Great news! Tezos is amazing on many levels and future looks very bright!

What is new everybody? I have been away from this project for a couple of months. The last time I was here, I heard we are going to implement a smart contract.
any progress regarding this? and how many projects/peoples are using this right now?

Whats unique has Semux? Can you explain me? And when they will deliver this? What technology "Libra stolen"?
Semux isnt a new project. They have been started developing since 2017. so almost 2 years. its too long for crypto...

I know nothing about Libra, but SEMUX is a unique project because they created their codebase from scratch. And they are using java as their base. And 2 years is not too long for crypto because Bitcoin itself has been here for almost 10 years.

Semux v2.0 will hit mainnet end of this month. This release will feature smart contacts engine

https://github.com/semuxproject/semux-core/releases/tag/v2.0.0-rc.2

Big big achievement and huge congrats to the team!

I love that redistribution of wealth during bear market.
Yesterday someone registered new validator. Congratulations and welcome aboard Wink

Redistribution of wealth???

Do not make me laugh. It's one person getting another validator

https://semux.info/explorer/account/0x4bb45704b8fc92d512437e2cdbd616fd74604d0a

This is a problem Semux developers should fix somehow and do something so more people own a validator node and participate in the consensus.

I think that the 100 validators are owned maybe by 20 people (my guess). This is really bad.

Semux - do something about this! (or this project will be dead...)

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DIMEcoin on: June 02, 2019, 02:19:43 PM
Dimecoin is a huge coin with a huge potential, and everyone who invests money on it, in the long run, has huge profits. I have over 10 billion Dimecoin and I buy more, I've earned a lot last time, now I'm planning the same.

Investments are made between 5 and 15 times in comparison with Bitcoin. If you invest 1 BTC you will have between 5 and 15 BTC in the next few months.

We expect to join companies that will accept Dimecoin for payment of products-services.

Dimecoin is a coin with a heart because there is no boss, 100% is decentralized and people with great enthusiasm are working on it.

Soon the value of BTC jumps and then ALT coins grow. Now is the best time to buy Dimecoin, you can get it on :

www.livecoin.net
www.coinexchange.io

The coin is a dead scam from the very beginning.

Trading in new exchange Citex already started:

Very nice to see Semux getting listed on more exchanges.
(although I've never used this one)
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: January 20, 2019, 10:11:04 AM

The node ist not a GUI wallet, and the deb packackes needs root access for installation.

For security reasons I have running all my wallets in separate accounts, and installed without root access (tar or zip packages).

At this time I have run the deb package in a dedicated VM, but the resource consumption is a little bit high this way.

You are welcome.

 Huh

Btw if you think installing a package dedicated for an operating system is classed as "high resource consumption" then you should definitely educate yourself in this area.

We released Beam's first official maintenance version

Can you make a wallet tar file for linux, please?

There you go

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: January 19, 2019, 10:47:41 AM
I messed around on Sparkpool and mined a single, 1 BEAM.    Sent payment to my wallet. It never shows up.     Here's the issue with the BEAM wallet i have found.

1) If you mine to an address that expires, will never arrive
2) If you delete a created payment address, payment will not come to the deleted address even though it was initially created in your same wallet.
3) If you have to restore from seed while mining, you can no longer receive the mining rewards in your mining account because you cannot re-create the same addresses you were mining to after you restore the wallet with the seed.

In my instance, I had created about 10 non expiring addresses to mine on several pools, ended up deleting several of them that I didnt end up using, and copied a deleted address to my batch file I was using to mine with by mistake (instead of one of the active ones).    Again, it was just 1 BEAM, but it clearly shows that if you delete the address, you can't get them back.   On sharkpool, I have a balance in an address that is no longer on my wallet, so it will never show up.

I have since fixed by using an unexpiring listed address, but a word for everyone to make sure you are mining to an active address on your wallet, and don't restore from seed or you won't get your coins either.     I'm not sure if this is meant to be this way or what.   This has to have happened to others I would think.

This is normal. The mistakes are on your side.
IF you have read HOW TO USE WALLET instructions before using it, this wouldnt have happened.
And like in all other wallets.. you take a backup of your WALLET.DB file and restoring it after using seed will get back your "never expiring addresses" and all the funds.
So please keep your SEED, Password and the wallet.db file safely (BACKUP)

AFAIK the point of a seed is to not have to backup anything else apart from this single piece of information as the addresses should be derived form the seed. If BEAM enforces users to backup the seed AND the wallet.db then this defeats the point of the seed.
BEAM team please clarify this.

Could someone explain what is baking exactly, can we do it while having full control over our private keys (not using an exchange or third party platform) and how profitable it is currently? Is it the equivalent of staking for POS?

It is safe and you are in full control over your private keys. You can delegate your funds to a selected baker (one of many available) and this will increase the bakers share in generated blocks. The public bakers are then sharing  block rewards with accounts that delegated to them.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: November 18, 2018, 09:23:51 AM
Devs should airdrop SEM to blockchain wallet users like Stellar and give away it all to a massive user base.
That would be very very good for this project.

Its already done they also have airdrop with ETH holders way back, another update have been posted so might want to take a look on it, visit their telegram and you will see the design competition that might let you earn some SEM.

This is not what I was talking about. The previous SEM airdrops although executed in a first class way, only distributed SEM to something like 7 people (or 17 or 93. It does not matter, it's a small group)...

What I am suggesting is to get attention of millions of people and distribute among them all the remaining SEM from the existing "foundation" accounts.
