1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Future after Elon Musk Buy Twitter ? on: May 10, 2022, 06:45:45 AM
There is a prediction on 2022 being the year of Dogecoin due to three different factors

  • Elon Musk
  • Different Partnership
  • Development within the Community

Elon Musk buying Twitter had made dogecoin to be the official cryptocurrency that is being used on it. As Elon Musk have already a supporter of Dogecoin, the move of buying Twitter will have impact over dogecoin market.

With more investors getting into the market, there is big partnership taking place with corporate firms. Top designer brand Gucci have partnered with dogecoin and it has set the acceptance of dogecoin on five stores around USA. This will slowly grow and gets used.

Dogecoin being the memecoin with good marketcap is planned to develop some bridging with the ethereum platform. This will let users buy NFTs with dogecoin and more people will move towards it for its low transaction fee.
According to people who are holding dogecoin since the pump, every month is a month for doge and every year is the year of doge. Just because Elon bought twitter, doesn't mean that he will do something that will benefit doge at all, there is zero connections between those two different information.

Secondly, doge is doge, it is not taken seriously, even the ones that invested in it did it just because it was fun and Elon had fun with it and everyone jumped on the bandwagon and that's it. This is why I doubt that there would be any sense of doge going up a lot unless the whole market goes up a lot this year, which doesn't seem like it will happen.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 09, 2022, 07:24:51 PM
I still remember my first book I read about stock trading, it was  15-20 years ago. The book was from a highly successful investor from the 90s. His advice was basically buy stocks and forget about them. Spread out your money across multiple stocks to have some basic level of diversification and hold for the long run. In the crypto world we would  that HODL investor. For any new trader or investor I would recommend that approach. Having a crypto portfolio with BTC, ETH and some alt coins is the best to take advantage of the long term upwards trend. This is if course very boring and some people would prefer to actively trade their portfolio. In such a case I would recommend to take only a small fraction of the money to trade more often. Like this losses will be limited and it's a good way to learn the trading game.
Peter Lynch? I read a book about investment about 15 or so years ago as well and it was from Peter Lynch and named something like beating the market or something like that. It talked about finding good solid companies that have been around for a long time and just investing into them and forgetting about your investment.

The reasoning is that, if a company has been established for a long time, and have been providing successful returns for many years, and looks financially stable, then there isn't any reason why it shouldn't be in the future as well. Imagine buying coca cola stocks, wouldn't make you rich overnight but would definitely be a good return.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about CAKE? on: May 09, 2022, 08:21:08 AM
Do you think it will reach $20 this year?
Looking at how it is already 6.7 dollars, 20 dollars is not really that impossible. The current market is unfortunately not great and that could be a reason why people think that it will not reach that high, but at the same time we have to realize that the price is not doing that badly when the whole market goes up. So that means when the prices of coins go up, then cake will go up with it.

This means we need to reach a whole new level on bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and all the others. Doesn't mean that we can't or we will, it just means that I do not see Cake going to 20 dollars alone, only if things go up a lot then we can see the price go up a lot more.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about CAKE? on: May 09, 2022, 07:01:18 AM
I'm still fairly bullish on some of the altcoins in this market but perhaps what I'm witnessing is a flurry of information and trend navigation that leaves many still unable to envision a future. good or bad future.
But honestly, this is also one of the coins that brought me big profits in 2021, so no matter how it turns out, I am very grateful for it. But 2022 probably no longer has too many good thoughts about this market, and everything needs to be carefully calculated. The goal of $20 is basically not too difficult to happen, but it balances the benefits between risks and profits, I think it's safer for me to sit and observe it.
It did made me a good amount of profit as well, I bought a good chunk of it for under $2 at some point, staked it, made a good return, and sold nearly half of all I owned just to get some other coins and spread my portfolio to a more diversified version.

Most of the coins that I bought with my Cake profits didn't provided the same level of profit at all, and it was a sad situation. In the end, Cake gets 100% trust from me and I will not leave it aside. When you face a coin that looks to be a thing that can go on for 10+ years, that matters a lot, most projects look like they will pump but eventually go down more and more and eventually be gone, whereas Cake looks like it will be here for 10+ years.
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 08, 2022, 08:46:14 AM
Now the price of Bitcoin is back to $ 35k, I often hear that many people will buy when the price of $ 35k, of course many are panicked and worried about seeing Bitcoin prospects, but I have to convince that big dumping like today is common, what we do is be patient , don't panic and of course focus on continuing to buy is the best step for profit.
Honestly, I have the same thoughts although, right now, it is more likely to go down to 34k+ then 32k or even 29k if the bulls do not manage to break the bearish momentum. Still though, I am very optimistic for this month. I personally think that we may see a huge bounce a few days later after some more time playing at the current areas that the bitcoin price is in. And yes, buying on these dumps little by little is the best choice if you currently have some altcoins that are catching your attention.
I am guessing that it would be a situation where people would end up getting tired of the drop and eventually start buying. We should realize that bitcoin price goes down to a level, and then eventually people say that it is enough and they see it as a good price to get in, and they start jumping into it because it is such a low price, and they end up with making it a bit going high, and that results with others to get hyped about it, and long futures gets higher, and short futures are liquidated, and that type of situation results with a exponential growth.

This is why I believe that we are down enough and soon enough people will start buying and starting that chain reaction.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's the year 2018 over again on: May 08, 2022, 08:12:44 AM
It looks like the bear won't end anytime soon. A lot of fud going on and this is really affecting the market in the negative way. I think the war in Ukraine is seriously affecting the market. I personally had a lot of expectations for this year as far as cryptocurrency is concerned but anyways I think anything can still happen, the year is still early. Let me not conclude hastily.
I do not think that the war actually impacted the market all that much, not saying that it didn't neither but I believe that it didn't impacted "that" much. Looking at the current situation I could easily say that FED was the main reason, the day fed announced that they will increase the rates, whole market collapsed and that is a pretty good reasoning for the drop, not the war.

War has been going on for 3 months give or take, more than 2 months at least, and the market saw even 48k+ at some point during that war, which is a proof that if it can be 38k or under, and 48k or over, then we can say that market just doesn't care about the war at all.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your take of NFTs? on: May 07, 2022, 07:18:46 PM
As long as there are no more in-depth developments for NFT from now on, it is clear that the long-term future of NFT is still highly doubted by some people who may not be able to judge a work of art from others.
But despite all that, I think that this NFT needs further development so that its future can be stronger and longer.
That is true, there is really nothing that we could do about the fact that NFT's are as long as there is no new innovations about it. Obvious that there isn't anything that we should be doing regarding crypto, it just means that NFT is no longer big part of crypto like it used to be. Imagine being South Park and making a whole two part movie where you mock NFT's and even we do not care about it too much anymore and yet it will be there forever in their movie, people will not even know what NFT means in the future.

This is why I believe that people shouldn't react too much about hypes in the future, because those hypes could be big deal and look stupid at that moment but it will be something small after a while and we won't care about it. Same with ICO process for example.
1728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: May 07, 2022, 11:31:20 AM
Bitcoin maxis will tell you it doesn't apply to Bitcoin. In fact, if anything, that all eggs should be saved in one Bitcoin basket by buying and hodling only Bitcoin.

In a related development, saying traders shouldn't be greedy is like saying humans shouldn't be humans. Greed is the nature of humans. What makes greed an issue is how we control or allow it control us. As a trader, you will want to get more off the market whenever an opportunity presents itself, factoring in the fact that the market is merciless when dealing with traders. It's not a bad thing by my books, though, to get back at the market if we can. Nevertheless, one has to be careful in doing that so as not to get very greedy. Like we were taught in the drama Macbeth that being ambitious isn't a bad thing but that being vaulting ambitious is a problem.
I am a bitcoin maximalist and I never tell that to anyone. I just tell them to DCA their way into crypto and never put anything in one basket. Sure, I believe bitcoin will be one million dollars one day, not anytime soon but in the future, but there is no reason why you shouldn't make most of your investment.

It means if you invest a bit now, and if it drops then you will invest a bit there as well. I buy bitcoin once every month when I get my salary, and that is how I grew it bigger and bigger, sometimes it's lower and allows me to get cheap bitcoins, sometimes it's higher and I increase it, but I keep buying it, instead of going all-into bitcoin.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 06, 2022, 05:35:29 PM
romero121 sad story is another example that shows that people should gamble only with cold head. I just cant realize how much money he had lost, if his bets increased from 3 bucks to 98. As I understand, romero121 bet 3,4,5,10,20,50 and up to 98. I suppose 98 dollar bet was all-in. He wrote that he has lost 2 month salary, he is from Croatia. Google say that an average salary there is about 1.5k. 3k bucks busted in minutes. That's sad.
No this is too much.If you do based up on here on the latest or year 2022
then its playing around $500-1000 basing up on your skills

https://take-profit.org/en/statistics/wages/croatia/

So losing 2 month salary is between $1k-2k which is totally a waste of money and this would really be a lesson learned.
Losing a few months salary in crypto gambling is something could only be done if you also won the lottery or something. If you are gambling your bitcoin away you need to realize that you will also see the price going up. I lost maybe like 10 bitcoins overtime in bitcoin world if I calculate the price of them at the time I wagered it should be like 5k at the most, and in around 8-9 years that is not too bad, that's quite low amount if you calculate it per month.

However, if you calculate it based on the price today, that's like 400k+ lost in just gambling. This is why I do not check the bitcoin price sense, I gamble with USD value in mind.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hate on XRP on: May 06, 2022, 02:59:49 PM
Why do people hate Ripple so much? The moment you made mention of this project they will instantly have a wicked laugh 😅 about it, like this project is just some joke, but how come its still a top altcoin if its that bad? How come such a project even win a war with SEC? I am curious, is there something thats not adding up here?
i think it's just based on your views coz i don't see any feedbacks from some people that laughing about XRP(ripple) to be honest, except you.
And for me yes the rank itself in the market can really tell how good it is, not the current situation coz obviously we are still on bearish trend.  So it's up to us know if we cannot understand the situation of the market.
Include me as well Cheesy I mean it is horrible because I ran away from centralization of the government over fiat and you are telling me that I should be buying a token that is not even used as the transaction process for a company that uses another network to move money around for companies using our power?

I am sorry but that is not what I will be part of, whatever they do, let them do it themselves and make their profits and I am not going to be part of it. Makes no sense to me to invest into something like that, I am fine with my bitcoin and ethereum and a few other coins that I hold, some of them could be as bad as XRP but at least they are not taking advantage of me.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: May 06, 2022, 06:15:59 AM
Russia supplies gas in Europe about 40% and if Russia stops supplying gas to certain countries, the gas price in that country will certainly increase dramatically. With such large gas reserves, it seems that currently there is no country that can replace Russia. maybe in the near future some countries will have to pay for gas from russia in russian currency (ruble) because it is russia's retaliation against countries that impose economic sanctions on russia.
What we need to realize is that, Europe doesn't need to take ALL gas needs from some other nation, just drop the Russian one low enough to hurt their finances and that will be enough. Think about it, between the LNG they are getting, and the each passing year finding alternative sources, we are talking about finding a way to make it 50% lesser than what it is today, but a few years down the line and not today.

This means when that happens Russia would be making 50% less from gas and that is a big hit on their economy. When their economy is struck, they will not be living a happy life killing innocent people, they will be forced to find a solution for their economy as well.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin teaching approach on: May 06, 2022, 05:30:51 AM
Teaching computer science without computers wouldn't do much good, I hope you can borrow those computers you say. Where you live, do the students have a mobile phone with an internet connection? I think everyone has one nowadays. I say this because for them to get an idea of what bitcoin is, they should have experience with the internet.
We had something like this when we were kids. Not that we were learning "computers" but basically the code itself, without computers, so we failed to do what we learned but there was just one computer which belonged to the teacher (well to the school) and we all did our best on that. It is not as bad as you might imagine because it did allow us to learn the basics of it.

When you are at an age where you barely learn what life is about, learning basics of computers is enough. However, I do wish that the whole world would have computers and mobile phones and all the food and clothes and shelter there is and nobody ever needs anything, sometimes it is not available and that is an unfortunate life.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 05, 2022, 09:39:22 PM
Marseille may have missed the chance last week, but they are not going to give it up so easily, they will probably get it this week for sure. There is what, 3 games left? I believe that in that 3 games they won't lose more than 3 points to get caught, they will probably get like a draw or something eventually when they guarantee it, but they will probably guarantee it this week when they win and if Rennes loses.

It's very weird feeling however to see Lille nowhere at the top. They are at the tenth position and barely at that as well, this is the team that won over PSG last year, they really crumbled apart after last year and when they sold most of their players.
1734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I think its time to start my crypto trading lessons on: May 05, 2022, 08:38:30 PM
Glad to know that, unlink other newbies you are really interested in learning about crypto trading.
Now a days most of the newbies without any trading knowledge directly invests in cryptos, for which the face losses and starts crying.
Op if you are looking for some free tutorials, then there is always YouTube from which you can learn.
Else if you are capable of getting a paid course, then yes go for it. Though it’s not recommended.
Moreover as said, before trading any specific coin, do a market research and analysis of the coin.
At last trade and invest in limit.
Hope this helps you OP.
Those newbies who cry because they made the mistake themselves usually end up being hurtful for crypto as well. If they did what they should have done then they would have been a part of the crypto world and that money would keep being in the crypto world and would help us grow, but since they were too impatient and did something wrong that ended up being a bad thing for all of us included.

This is why I believe that newbies should not be able to trade right away, they should be basically give a month to study crypto, all exchanges should do that but they won't because they are making money from their mistakes and like to take their money.
1735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I think its time to start my crypto trading lessons on: May 05, 2022, 09:02:03 AM
Actually learning manually will help to understand or comprehend mostly because the skill you obtain by people as a lecture come to understand fast than using online knowledge or YouTube video indecencies that the online will impact the same knowledge but the problem is that it will not be as faster understanding as manual learning, what online studies will help to educate you about trading and to have the primary wisdom of it and it's existence.
especially if we are in the right community it will really help us to grow in improving the quality of trading. I think we are all the same, which must always study with the market so that the experience of our friends is a valuable lesson, where if it is bad then we as much as possible to be able to prevent it. it's not as easy as reading and memorizing, because what determines the outcome here is trading practice
When you have people who are willing to help you learn, you will get better but when you are among people who will mock you and not take you seriously then you will not be growing a lot. I have been part of both of them, one of them was a trading bot group that basically mocked everyone as idiots when they failed to do something, and basically labelled everyone morons and just spent days like that for years now, got out after a year or so.

The other was friendly place that helped you when you failed, showed you why you failed, where you did wrong and then told you what should you have done to make it a better situation, got better thanks to them.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: What crypro / tokens has the most utility ? looks like all are useless on: May 05, 2022, 07:09:08 AM
If we are talking about crypto with the most utility then that would only be bitcoin, nothing more nothing less. Bitcoin can be used in almost anything that you can imagine. Not all cryptos are useless but most of them yes. They are mostly new coins/tokens, that are only created for the sole purpose of cash grabbing. Stay away from them but better if you can focus on a much older coin just to be safe.

What real world problems are you trying to solve anyway? I think that was not the obligation of cryptos anymore but cryptos primarily use are supposed to be for payments only and the other extra use that we can see right now is only just a bonus. Its the government that should act to solve the real world problems.
Bitcoin is obviously the one with the utility, because it's used in many places. But, bitcoin doesn't have utility ingrained in it, it is used because people accept it but that is totally different than what we are talking about. This is why I believe that the question is which altcoin has utility that is basically part of the project itself.

I believe ETH is the one, because you can build projects on it and everyone does, which is an awesome thing if you ask me. There are thousands of projects on ethereum network and they are collectively making ETH stay at the second position and get so much part of the market. Can't beat something like that.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay in rubles or have your gas shut off by April on: May 05, 2022, 06:04:15 AM
Europe must find an alternative to Russian gas to get rid of the Russian pressure card.
This is an open market and Russia, as a major player, is well aware of the possibilities of each supplier of natural gas. Europe will pay for Russian gas in circumvention of its own sanctions for as long as Russia itself allows it - because Europe has no other alternatives and will not have in the foreseeable future.

In the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia adopted today, there is not a word about natural gas, this issue is not even discussed.
I would guess that there could be some alternatives, I mean yeah we are seeing it not get done for now at the time being but that doesn't mean that it will have to stay that way forever. Gas is not something that only Russia has, other nations have it as well and Europe could handle a way to get it one way or another, via any nation they need to and just pay more if they have to and get this done.

Or they could just drop the need and get a lot less from somewhere else and cover the other needs some other way. It is not "impossible", quite a tough task but not impossible which means that if they want to get rid of Russia dependence, they need to find an alternative solution.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 04, 2022, 09:28:12 PM
Sevilla need 9 more points to finish in 3rd place, Sevilla will meet Atletico Madrid in week 37. Victory must be won by Sevilla so that Atletico Madrid does not interfere with its position.
Victory gives a little hope for the team who are still struggling to finish in the Champions League zone. Atletico Madrid are under pressure from Real Betis, the difference of three points makes Atletico Madrid have to appear consistent in the rest of the season. I excluded Real Sociedad in the race for the top 4, because in the last match Real Sociedad will play Atletico Madrid.
Other games are easy and unless something unexpected happens I am sure that they will do fine, but ATM game will be as hard as it gets and that's where they are going to have their trouble most probably. I personally believe that Sevilla will finish fourth in the league.

I know they were fighting for the title for a while and that is why everyone expects the worlds from them but the reality is that they are not going to have anything like that. They will end up with a loss to ATM and be fourth. So, it will be Madrid championship, Barcelona second, ATM third and Sevilla fourth all going to champions league. I believe this will allow them to be great at next UCL season as la liga teams once again.
1739  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: May 04, 2022, 09:06:53 AM
Environmental concern is very important to make us survive and avoid natural disasters, and we must be aware that most of the disasters that occur due to damage to nature, such as floods, tsunamis, landslides and so on because humans damaged nature by cutting down trees.
Unfortunately the world doesn't think the same thing that we think. There are politicians, whole political parties and their followers, business people and all of that which end up with something that is ending up being horrible to world because they do not care.

Business people do not care because that means they will earn less money and spend more money, not that they wouldn't profit, they would still profit but they want to profit even more. People do not because they are ignorant and they listen to what the media tells them to think. Politicians do not because they are getting bribed by the oil companies and like to keep getting paid.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the criteria for choosing altcoin on: May 04, 2022, 08:12:29 AM
Why what is the situation today. Is the market dumping? But dump or not, choosing a potential altcoin is always be a must. Dumping is only good for buying but you can still try buying at pumps and maybe you can score an immediate profit but that is likely as long as what you are investing with is an altcoin that has a potential.

Be careful and always scan the coins first on the top 10 ranks because sometimes there is a meme coin that can enter. It so sad that top 10 is not a safe place anymore. People should now change their criteria when choosing a coin. Maybe they can an make adjustments and this time they will only pick coins that are from top 3 or top 5.
Top 10 was never really that much of a big trust thing before today neither. We had xrp which is a centralized coin project made by a company, we had BCH back in the day when it was in the top ten and it was a miners bitcoin basically, we had BSV which is Craig Wright's bitcoin, and we had many other that were in top 10 and then got out. Hell if you go back enough we had namecoin which was the second ever coin using blockchain tech and then it is nowhere to be found nowadays, probably done and gone.

I wouldn't really rely my investments based on the top 10, that rarely ever works for anyone and usually ends up being a terrible indicator for the future of those coins.
