21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before I Invest With Cryptoqurrency? on: December 16, 2019, 10:54:00 PM
Before I invest in Altcoin, let me write down the things I've been paying attention to. I think the project team is very important. If the team is good, they can do very well. In particular, the team needs to look at the previous work. And how realistic are the road maps?

Investing in cryptocurrency sometimes requires being very patient. The price of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is reputed to be very volatile.  In case the market is not looking good, getting a return on investment can be longer than expected. You will then inevitably go through a phase of losses. If you ever need this money to live, here’s what it can cause;
You will withdraw your investment by having made a dry loss.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: December 16, 2019, 10:45:49 PM
Basically nothing we can do to thebm as a sign of punishment but, investor's should be very much careful with their investment. Knowing fully well that; most of these icos and ieos where out to scam potential investors of their funds. The only punishment we can give to them is: ensure to research into the project you intend to invest.

Basically, I think IEO eliminated most of the inherent problems of ICOs. And there's nothing much that can be done about it than stop participating in ICOs for a proven and safer investment fund raising models like IEO and STOs. The Crypto environment is still young and we are all learning daily to make it better
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deutsche Bank said Crypto will Replace Fiat Currencies by 2030! Really Possible? on: December 16, 2019, 10:42:28 PM
By 2030, the demand for alternative currencies will rise, with digital currencies eventually replacing cash, according to recent research from Deutsche Bank.  Shocked

What do you think as a Crypto Expert? What are the challenges? What things should be adopted to replace fiat?  Huh Huh

Research: https://www.dbresearch.com/PROD/RPS_EN-PROD/PROD0000000000503196/Imagine_2030.PDF
News Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/deutsche-bank-research-crypto-to-replace-fiat-currencies-by-2030

I believe it is possible. The world is seeking for better ways to interact economically and there's no better way than through cryptocurrency technology. Ecowas is already seeking for a single unified money for its member states. Bitcoin and crypto can unite the world and the global leaders might take their chances if they can control it
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: December 16, 2019, 09:42:16 PM
For Bounty Hunters
Even if i advice you not to give up on doing researches on every proje ts before promoting them this doesn't mean they wont scam you or waste your precious time BUT still the only question you need to ask is, Are there bounties that pays hunter good rewards this year? YES they are very few and good projects take time, Do not expect good projects every months cos its impossible

For Investors
ICO and STO are no go side, stay away from them because they are almost all red flags, IEO is here for you and all you have to do is go to binance for any new upcoming IEO fund raising, you will get positive results

Good advice foe both bounty hunters and investors. Hunters should spend more time on researching good projects, they don't come often nor carry heavy price reward which might be unrealistic. Also I hope that IEO will keep living up to the expectations crypto investors have put on it so far
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: December 16, 2019, 09:35:10 PM
Note: This is not about how to identify good coins to HODL
This is about how you can be a good long term holder

1. You must have another source of income
Either in crypto space or outside crypto space you must have other source of income, there was a time when i used to rely on coins i hold for monthly income but most time they failed me because some altcoins takes more than a month to add value. You can learn trading or find a better job to get constant income for your daily needs.

2. Not all altcoins are good for long term holding
Some altcoins are too weak to have better value overtime, these coins only add value to price once in a blue moon,WHY?because the power of demand is too low and they have no working product,i belief that working product is what makes a coin have many more investors

3.HODL Only Altcoins With Real Use Case
There are different categories of coins with use cases, many use case are weak use case, for example using fashion  designer to back a token is a weak use case to me because it means you can only use the token to buy the designer wears and many will call this a real use case? no it wont do very well.
Make sure that the real use case of every altcoins you hold will be very reasonable, the products backing them up must be something that is different and will catch the eye of investors, the usefulness  must be outstanding .

4. Stay Updated Always
Opportunity comes but once as many know it,so always stay updated about crypto, read crypto news online and keep tracks on your altcoins so that you wont miss future updated or even token swaps, some altcoins i hold have already switched to MainNet and im glad i dont missed the opportunity, you can use blockfolio app to track your altcoins.

Altcoin season is what many are waiting for, even new projects are waiting for altcoin season to return before they get listed on exchanges,im sure of one thing and that is good things dont come easily, today is bitcoin turn to reign and one day altcoins will have its day as well.

This is my first time of coming across this post and I think it's spot on. On the first point which says a holder must have another source of income is very accurate because a broke man or hungry person can't really hold because he will always sell too quick. Also, if you must hold altcoins, you must be updated OK every happenings on the altcoins because of the frequent swaps that usually happen nowadays. Else you may loose your coin
26  Economy / Speculation / Is Bitcoin now Pump and Dump? on: December 16, 2019, 08:56:55 PM

I have watched this space for a couple of years and while on it, I felt that bitcoin prices are usually driven by global supply and demand which is a factor of real world usage. But recently, I have also gotten another perspective that bitcoin might just be a tool in the hands of a few whales, manipulated for quick and short gains on daily bases. If that's the case, as we near $6500/btc and even lesser as analysts suggest, when then do we see $100k/btc or its just a hoax to keep the pump and dump pendulum swinging
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun’s Weibo Account Has Officially Been Shut Down on: December 16, 2019, 08:55:07 PM
ICO is banned in China, and Justin did it with his "questionable" TRON project. If the big fat authoritarian government said that he could not do an ICO, then he should not do it.
He has been warned, he understand the risks, and now come the judgment day. Get your popcorn guys!

Yes I remember the rumor making rounds last few months that Justin is under a man and close surveillance and he can't leave China. Which made him to miss the proposed Warren Buffet dinner which he paid so much to arrange. 2020 will be an interesting year filled with drama and positive strides in crypto as well

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun’s Weibo Account Has Officially Been Shut Down on: December 16, 2019, 08:50:16 PM
TRON founder Justin Sun has had his personal Weibo account shut down by Chinese authorities. This comes about a month after the official TRON account was banned, as BeInCrypto has previously reported. It appears that China will continue to promote blockchain but clamp down on actual cryptocurrencies.

The news came to Twitter via Dovey Wan (@DoveyWan), who announced that the account was offline and added that she was “not surprised,” as Sun has been very vocal about his company and the recent lunch he was supposed to have with Warren Buffet, though the meeting never took place.

Oh well, here goes another Justin Sun news!

After Weibo shuts down the official account of TRON, Justin Sun was their next victim after a month.

China has been pro on the disruptive blockchain technology, but may never be in actual cryptocurrencies like TRON. For me, I think for sure that China would be “truly left behind” in the 4th industrial revolution if they do not start adopting or embracing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

I can sense that within the next decade, we will be going cashless. However, China can ride the wave only in a centralized way. But decentralization is the future (especially for those who are unbanked), as people like us are seeking to take control on what we own rather than the central banks controlling it.

For sure, China will suffer and regret in the future about not embracing Bitcoin, TRON and other cryptocurrencies in the market.

China really want to surpass bitcoin in terms of blockchain, they're creating their own blockchain and want to their people not using cryptocurrency anymore instead of using their own blockchain, eventhough their blockchain is not launched yet. But i think they cannot fully banned crypto because there are still many VPNs that they can use to access cryptocurrency markets or wallet if their country banned it.

I think they want a substantial control over it if we judge by their demeanor. They have tried doing it from outside but they Couldn't. Now they are in the system, I feel they will have a more informed outlook and a better authority over it. Expect more regulations from China

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 500,000 Tezos Deposited Into Binance: Staking or Dump Impending on: December 09, 2019, 10:51:47 PM
A deposit into Binance may be an indicator of what’s to come. One user just deposited some 500,000 XTZ ($800k) into Binance from an unknown wallet. The deposit set off Whale Alert (@whale_alert), which notified its followers of the transfer earlier today.

https://beincrypto.com/500000-tezos-deposited-into-binance-staking-or-dump-impending/

the Whales lately dont let any coin to pump
as soon as a coin starts to pump they manipulate it back down
still good profits made , i think its good time to sell PART of the XTZ , and to wait and see whats coming next

Well I just got of my coin check app and lo and behold, Tezos has done over 13 percent since this post. Obviously, all indicators now points to Staking. I personally doubt Tezos will risk the fame and position they have built over the year to be on top 10 coinmarketcap over a couple of million dollars
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Does China Mostly Rank Bitcoin Below Neo, EOS & Tron. What is the Criteria on: December 09, 2019, 04:59:37 PM
Popular cryptocurrency TRON (TRX) is in the news again, as the asset seems to be making good fortunes in China.

TRON’s chief executive and founder, Justin Sun, recently published a tweet showing a list of the recent rankings from China’s Global Blockchain Technology Assessment Index.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin's giving away 5,000 TRX to one lucky winner! on: December 08, 2019, 09:10:53 PM
I think Justin SUN likes to get TRX's work cheap. I remember airdrops that earn more than 5000 TRX. Moreover, the 5000 TRX promises for its new logo is a ridiculous figure.

Justin is a very stingy man in my opinion. As well as CZ. Look all the money they have and how little the have given away. Energi project did four rounds of global Airdrop and paid all happily. People like Justin hold tight on riches for nothing. I won't participate in the 5000 trx giveaway. Congratulations to the future winners
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Creek is Against The BTC Halving Popular Opinion. What do You think on: December 08, 2019, 08:55:32 PM
Its better to be ready for both side ways, either good or bad can happen, the next halving might not be effective on bitcoin price because the last one doesn't until few months later

You are right. The movement of bitcoin after halving can be either ways. Perhaps will take more shape then as regards to market sentiments. I rather fold my arms and watch. Instead of investing in a gamble
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: burning token on: December 05, 2019, 08:44:12 PM
I often read and heard about burning tokens that were not sold when the ICO project was finished, I also knew that by burning the rest of the token was a strategy so the price of the token didn't fall, but if the DEV and the team didn't burn it was a crime? is there a requirement that the remaining unsold tokens must be burned?

Its not compulsory to burn tokens left after ICO sales. It's just a strategy introduced to attract customers who will now have the impression that the token circulation will be low and thus translate to high price (according to supply and demand laws). That not withstanding, some projects also lock up such tokens for future marketing and promotion. Which is no big deal
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DigiByte delisted from Poloniex!!! on: December 05, 2019, 08:28:08 PM
Crypto politics! I don't need to be a whale or an expert to tell that the cryptocurrency market is dominated  by decisions of the cryptocurrency power brokers which played out in the fight between Craig Wright and Chanpeng Zhao which saw many big names and players in crypto take sides. Digibyte should have known that the best way to get by for most rich people is to join the band wagon if they can't beat them
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Creek is Against The BTC Halving Popular Opinion. What do You think on: December 05, 2019, 08:10:28 PM
I think we should be ready for any outcome.
Litecoin showed an impressive growth around halving even in a bearish market, so we can safely assume there would be a strong force bringing it up but again large whales too would be active to earn for themselves by fooling general traders. That may be a strategy to bring the price down during the halving.

Lite pins growth wasn't as impressive as expected for me because even a Binance listing can push a cling to over 20 percent. What concerns me more is the sustained increase of the prices of these coins lest it becomes basically a pump and dump coin after all that's what we have been on to for a while now
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Morgan Creek is Against The BTC Halving Popular Opinion. What do You think on: December 02, 2019, 10:59:57 PM
Bitcoin’s May 2020 block reward halving won’t affect price, says Morgan Creek.

"In a tweet on Dec. 1, Jason Williams, co-founder at digital asset fund Morgan Creek Digital, said that unlike many others, he believed markets would not move as a result of the halving next May".

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoBridge is Closing Shop. Withdraw Your Assets on: December 02, 2019, 09:23:43 PM
Similarly, a lot of Crypto projects usually die off as Christmas approaches. First it was IDAX, Now CryptoBridge is set to shutdown its activities and advices users to withdraw all assets before December 15th, 2019.

https://crypto-bridge.org
I have an opinion that cryptobridge is bankrupt so that it no longer provides their services and is turned off, this is because the crypto market is difficult so many exchanges that go bankrupt are not only cryptobridge but many, another one like coinexchange.io also closed their exchanges, but IDAX has a case what's different is just that their CEO ran away, so it's not the same as cryptobridge

True. May not be similar issues resulting to the closure of both exchange but I still wonder why this usually occur during the year end especially Christmas. And Yes I saw the Coinexchange announcement too. I feel nostalgic about it having been the best CEX for me in its early time
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Expectation And Reality In The Current Situation on: December 02, 2019, 09:19:25 PM
Guessing the price of bitcoin is always a difficult thing. Don't expect too much of the bitcoin price going to a point. The best way is to spend your money and buy bitcoins at times when their value drops dramatically and wait for a good opportunity to sell a higher price or keep them. A closer look at the price history of bitcoin shows that its steady growth over the long-term is feasible.

That's correct. Bitcoin seems to to accurately elude predicters and analysts. When they say we will go low, boom, it goes high and when they think it will soar further, the next minute it tanks. I remember many predictions on bitcoin reaching 16,000 usd by November which never happened. One thing is certain, bitcoin is key to blockchain - cryptocurrency adoption and the future is bright. So maybe we should focus more on adoption use cases than speculation
