1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN]🌙🌙 🌙 Moonlite - Large scale, green crypto mining ICO 🌙 🌙 🌙 on: June 06, 2018, 10:56:19 PM

*UPDATE*

heard back from atriz. he tells us that the BTC payments were all done, and that its only the tokens that need processing. he will finalize the token allocations in the same spreadsheet as you shared, and we will add it to the list for payment.

Hi, I don't want to make an unnecessary fuss, but the facts are as follows:
  • Campaign End: last payment by aTriz in BTC:  March 21, 2018
  • last message in the Signature Campaign thread asking about the payment in tokens (unanswered): April 13, 2018
    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2712518.msg34615908#msg34615908
  • a personal message to aTriz asking about the payment in tokens (unanswered): April 13, 2018
  • your last update in which you promise to make the MNL payment happen: May 29, 2018

Summing up, we had to wait another week since you assured that the token payment would be paid to Signature Campaign participants, and nothing happened! The Signature Campaign thread has not been updated in almost 2 months already. KPrawn sais you are a man behind your words so prove it and make it happen. Thank you.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN]🌙🌙 🌙 Moonlite - Large scale, green crypto mining ICO 🌙 🌙 🌙 on: May 30, 2018, 12:32:23 PM
Just want to check something. There was several methods to earn MNL tokens {Example Bounty campaign and a separate

signature campaign -- See this --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2712518.0  ... I checked your Spreadsheet and I

only see a tab for Content Campaign / Telegram Campaign / Email Campaign / Translation Campaign / Twitter / Facebook and

not the Signature campaign. I thought the Signature campaign was listed under the Content Campaign, but I do not see my

username there. {Kprawn}

This is the Spreadsheet for the Signature campaign :

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VzHGicT7YgeuDMxQ1P2pnCkeQT8lG9llLiMYZKi4SKU/edit#gid=1652843929

Sorry to be a pain in the #$%, but I am really interested in this project and I want to make sure that it is not overlooked.

Hi,

thanks for that link.

as far as we can understand, the payments owing to signature campaign members are to be paid in BTC, right?

we paid over around 3BTC in total to Atriz, at the start of Jan, Feb, March respectively. this included the BTC for the sig members, and his fees. If needed, we can provide the emails from him stating the amounts, and the transaction numbers (hash's)

after seeing your comment here, we have tried to contact him for a refund (less the few payments as seen in the spreadsheet) - we hope we can get back the BTC, and we can then process these payments to you.

we are sorry that you are still waiting for this. please believe that we are committed to sorting this out honestly, where many others would just pass the Blame on and walk away.

MNL Team

thank you for the update, I am also very much interested in receiving the hard-earned tokens, as I participated in the signature campaign too. Thank you Kprawn for bringing that up in that thread!

Please let us know when the payment is through so we can validate.

Thank you, I received all BTC payments. And thank you for running such a nice and smooth campaign.

I have just checked the MNL balance and none received, though. When do you guys plan to be distributing the tokens? Thanks for answering!

Hi aTriz,

I didn't receive the MNL payment. Can you please clarify when you expect to be making those payments?

@ALL: I am not sure if it is just me - what about the other campaign participants? Did you guys receive the MNL?

Thanks!

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Again Ban, but now from Twitter on: March 19, 2018, 06:26:58 PM
Good. Less scammy ICOs on social media. Also, looks like the "send me x ETH and I will send you x ETH" scams on Twitter are gone too.
I am not a twitter user, but what sense does it make to exchange ETH for ETH? Did you make a mistake here or maybe such a scam really existed, I wonder, and if yes, what could be the mechanism behind it? How did the scammer get his high ground here?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook bans cryptocurrency ads due to frequent fraud on: March 19, 2018, 06:21:21 PM
I am not clicking your link mate. This topic was widely discussed in the past and there was a general concensus that not all crypto ads were banned, but only ICO-related, and moreover it is a good thing since the ICOs were mostly scam anyway. So your petition is misguided, I think.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: March 19, 2018, 05:53:44 PM
Bitcoins are still only accepted by a very small group of online merchants. This makes it unfeasible to completely rely on Bitcoins as a currency. There is also a possibility that governments might force merchants to not use Bitcoins to ensure that users’ transactions can be tracked.
This is very unfortunate, but true. What is even more unfortunate is that there used to be MORE places accepting Bitcoin, both online and real-world places, but they started to disappear and I am afraid it may be a lesson learnt for merchants. In short: they will not return anytime soon.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Country and Cryptos on: March 19, 2018, 05:50:35 PM
I'm curious, how big are cryptos in your country? Are they still collectively referred to as bitcoin, or do news reports and local media actually dive into their merit and the difference between coins, projects, companies etc. I'm from Canada and most of the current news is wavering between reports of malware installing mining agents and the Canadian Security Exchange cracking down on ICO sales.
In my country (one of EU countries) it is not even that level. The main news FUD is about the bitcoin bubble, now it obviously subsided when the price went down, but back then in December there was some central-bank sponsored webpage and news detailing how the cryptocurrency  is NOT backed by any central bank, making it extremely risky asset. In short: news for idiots Smiley
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your bitcoin story? Good or bad on: March 19, 2018, 05:44:22 PM
-snip-
Well, it is mixed, I heard about bitcoin back then in 2010 and wanted to buy some, but didn't get involved eventually and I kind of think that it is sad and I missed the opportunity. However I got carried with the next wave, so to speak, and I am happy to be a part of it ever since.
so what happens to youre bitcoin story?have you earned on that next wave?or just another story to tell?add some more here
well, it is a very simple story, not much to tell. I mined some bitcoin while the difficulty stayed reasonable and then I mined some litecoin and feathercoin while their difficulty stayed reasonable (I was using GPUs to mine). It was a short but intensive time of research, fails and sucesses. When I could not mine any more, I stopped and sold the equipment. I hodl-ed ever since... I saw a lot of price waves just like the one we are experiencing currently.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My thought outline on wether to invest in bitcoin. on: March 19, 2018, 05:00:46 PM
Well this is one point I don't agree with. Bitcoin core value is (as per Satoshi's White Paper) being a peer-to-peer electronic cash system and this core value has been proven many times over and again not to work as intended. True, workarounds (Ligthning Network) has been proposed, but still the bitcoin's core value has been devalued.

Don't really agree with that. First the fees are better again, since segwit finally start getting some adoption. Exchanges, that are still responsible for the majority of bitcoin transactions, are also being more careful the way they make the transactions (batching them for example) and this is having a great impact in BTC fees and speed.

This is not enough of course, and for that reason we have the LN that should fix this. Is not ready yet, but it's "close" (hopefully should be ready this year, since we keep seeing more and more LN nodes and channels on the main net).

The workarounds are needed, for scalability and I think off chain solutions are much better than the ones being pursuit by other coins, since those will result in a very centralized coin, and that was not the original objective behind bitcoin.
You are partly right. The fees are back ok, but just wait until more bitcoin is being transacted (i.e. just wait for the next significant price increase) and they will be unreasonable again. And unfortunately the same fee increase would happen if the major adoption for cash were the case. The fees are low, because hardly anybody buys his morning coffee for bitcoin.

As to offchain solutions (LN), there is talk and strong argumentation that it will be centralized too. I don't know. Only time will tell.

Please provide feedback where you disagree but also please let me know where you agree
Cons
• Tethering subpenoa by US government
• US banks boycotting bankers ability to purchase bitcoin
• Facebook banning adds
• Recent news about scammers
Cons Summary: Bitcoin has been made harder to purchase and potential users are less secure in their purchase.
Pros
• Bitcoins history to bounce back
• At its core the value that is provided by bitcoin as a service has not been devalued.
• Despite negative news bitcoin has held positive hype and faith from its community.
Unanswerable questions:
• What is bitcoins actual value minus any hype and with all future regulations added?
• How far down is bitcoin going to go? (guess 2-5k)
• How far back up is going going to go in a 5 year time span (guess 50k)
Conclusion
Bit coin will continue to be volatile but its actual value will not be effected by banks/government.
People will continue to invest
Long term value will continue to raise
Invest 1-2k in bitcoin leave in for 5 years as soon as it hits below 2-5k

Well this is one point I don't agree with. Bitcoin core value is (as per Satoshi's White Paper) being a peer-to-peer electronic cash system and this core value has been proven many times over and again not to work as intended. 12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 19, 2018, 01:27:56 PM
To be honest, It is easy to say than done especially to those who are new to trading. Emotions are hard to control and especially in a situation like the sudden drop of rates. When money involves it is hard not to overthink given that it is the only investment you have. Though, everything can be learned, it will take time and a lot of effort just save a lot of patience as well.
Very true, and moreover it is not only a problem of involving emotions, the other problem is that you really don't know the future, so you have no way of telling if it will go up or down, against your position. So it is very easy to write such advice post factum.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE! G20 CURRENT REGULATORY STATUS on: March 19, 2018, 01:12:24 PM
Anyone who has been swindled by ICO activities would easily applaud those countries calling for its ban. I have tasted this bitter pill and I know how it feels to be cheated out of one's money.

I strongly believe that this G20 summit is going to end boosting the crypto space as we already can see the market turning green in profit again today with the commencement of the meeting today. It's a plus for all crypto fans and investors.
I read in some other thread this idea that it is customer protection we need, not regulations. And your account seems to justify this line of thinking one hundred percent! Look, what is really needed is that we, as customers, are protected as while, say, we are protected doing Internet purchases!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Prediction Of Tom Lee| Bitcoin Is Going To Reach 91,000$ By March 2020 on: March 19, 2018, 01:09:03 PM
The prediction is very fine and just in line with everything I have been thinking earlier, back then in 2014. But, how on Earth did he come to such exact numbers like 91.000 price level and date March 2020 (why not a day in March, I wonder?) is beyond me...
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: best time to buy bitcoin on: March 19, 2018, 01:05:01 PM
Nobody has a crystall ball so there is really no way to tell. It may as well levitate at current levels and then go up or it may go down to 5000 dollars, levitate some more, fall to 4000 and eventually go up to 100.000 one year later. There is really no way to tell and people claiming that they know in reality know nothing.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Funny Memes on: March 19, 2018, 12:55:44 PM
There is no point to create such a thread, honestly, if you enter "bitcoin meme" into google you have like literally thousands of them, and then there is this page http://bitcoinmeme.com/ (which I found with the above search, to be exact) which will give you another million.
this is just entertainment amidst the panic of bicoiners bro, many people are panicking at the current bitcoin prices so they need entertainment
no worries, on the second thought, when I watch the discussion unfold in this thread maybe we needed some lighter theme, not only "should I panic sale or hodl my bitcoins?" topics. You are right and I was wrong. And to be sure, I have nothing against a good meme Smiley

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a criminal tool? on: March 19, 2018, 11:25:27 AM
Is bitcoin a criminal tool? Well, it may be. Is a lady stocking a criminal tool? Well, it may be, beacuse it may be used to rob a bank and even worse it may be used to attract males to a female sex-worker.

Do you see how absurd it is even to ask such questions? Even sun glasses may be a criminal tool because they hide one's identity...
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about 3DES? on: March 19, 2018, 11:15:17 AM
It is definitely an interesting use case. People have been trying recently very hard to make use of a blockchain in their specific field, with different levels of success. I will definitely need to read more to understand if the use of a blockchain is really needed here... It would be a shame if it were another case when blockchain is used just like a database.

What are you expecting mate? That someone will make a decision for you? Quit the game, if you choose so, or don't, but the responsibility is all yours and no amount of posting can enable you to run from it. The responsibility for your decision is all yours... Accept it.
