question for kano. since this 5n thing seems to confuse alot do u think it contributes to people leaving if so do u think it might be better to pull out the 5 part ?
I tend to think simply (I am simple minded), so I look at it as averaging counting back however far 5Nd is. The effect I see is that the valleys of long time-span blocks is offset when luck is better. When you join the pool during a valley (like I did), it takes some time for luck to make that 5Nd window show results, as you don't have any short -timespan blocks to improve that average.

I am a native English speaker, and am fair with Spanish, French, Italian, Tagalog and six North American Native languages.
I'll repeat the question because I want to know: WTF does that mean?
Do you understand all that language to evaluate their posting, are you Filipino by chance ? This is off-topic and TMAN will clean it up soon, but I'm not fluent enough to provide the service, even if I had the time. I'm not Filipino; Texan.

Any ideas where the best place to buy more 2Pacs is? Have done Amazon, Eyeboot, direct. Have 18 but really want to try to get to a Thz just to see if I can do it. Want to get 6 more no, see how she how she goes, and then add from there. Thoughts appreciated!
Have you tried sales@gekkoscience.com? Edit: what sidehack said. vvv

Sooo nice to wake up to a found Block!!!
I second that!!! Especially since I was standing beside a muddy pit with cut fiber optic cables when we found it. MINE ON!!!, you little TerrorHashes!

But I think this would hoard the 40 point into one single person and its not the point of the Merit system, its should be given to anyone deserving it including those post you not agree with, as soon as you see one, so far I've never seen one that I can categorically characterize as such.
WTF does all that mean?

I've been trying to use 1 instance of bfgminer and then a 2nd of cgminer, but the cgminer is going crazy on the added moonlanders :s
I haven't ever been able to get BFGMiner and cgminer to work together; they use different USB drivers, and I'm a little weak in the USB knowledge dept.

I've been reading many topics, posts, different forums etc but have not yet been able to find what i need. Hopefully someone here can help me:
I'm using 2 gridseed orb's and now just added 3 futurebit moonlander 2's. I'm planning on getting a zeus lightning x6.
How can i make the config (on win 10 - 64) to use all these machines at once, OR to set the moonlanders on 1 coin, the gridseeds on another and later the zeus on a 3rd coin? Is that possible?
I think you should be able to get three instances running, one for each kind of miner. I've been doing something similar on a Windows 10 laptop to run orbs and sticks, distributed between two pools Edit: you may have to run different versions of BFGMiner to support the older hardware, particularly if you use pre-compiled .exe's.

You, Kano and everybody else are absolutely right. I will drop this for now, sit down with a bowl of popcorn and watch the rewards ramp up. If you get bored watching, you can do what I do and look for more hardware to point this way. MINE ON!!!

These have been shipping for less than a week and people are already reselling them on eBay.
Cool!!! I bid on one. Didn't win I will have to wait for my place in the queue. You should buy directly from sidehack. He's got great service and you'll pay less. Only downside is you have to wait. I wouldn't want to be that guy selling these on eBay. sidehack makes it perfectly clear: If you have problems with a device, take it to who you bought it from. If you got yours from sidehack, you're golden; support and service from the designer, engineer, AND manufacturer. If you bought it from someone else, you have ... them. Good luck.

So why do I need another fan? I cannot go above 832 clock as I get too many hardware errors (over 10%) on these even cranking up the core voltage.
Bob
We're fighting heat, and thermal cycling. At all times, a lower operating temperature is desirable. It reduces errors and failures, and improves device efficiency. Keeping supplemental cooling on these reduces the range of thermal cycling. Even at lower clock speeds, a fan on the back sink will improve the lifetime of the device. When overclocked but not properly cooled (if the stick didn't die), the chips do suffer and become more prone to throwing errors. In some cases, this persists due to chip damage. As an aside, I know that the chips in my other stick miners are designed to operate at 40C, so that's where I try to keep them (maybe a touch cooler).

Looks like the 10 BTC give away works - the pool's hash is now 53,412.71THs and climbing fast.....
hmmm my page still sais 48 My page says it's been too long since we found a block. More hash power coming. MINE ON!!!

Strange by the way, if I try to withdraw BTC, it shows orange in the amount to withdraw even if greater than 10'000 satoshis. I guess it's a bug and the dev has forgotten to adjust the code to the new limit... You can move coins internally on Coinbase without them ever having to hit the blockchain which was why they were way cheaper back when fees were nuts. I'm fairly certain that no fee coinbase withdrawals etc would come back if we were to hit another round of silly fees on the network.
Because Coinpot is somehow bound to Coinbase maybe? I was missing this aspect maybe. Place focus on the withdrawal amount and change it (I backspace the last digit and replace it). It'll turn green.

I know I'm being dumb here, but I've never seen the option to withdraw to a Coinbase email address.
Does this mean that we can carry on withdrawing to Coinbase as long as we use a wallet address?
Yup. Coinpot just wants a proper address to send to.
|
|
|
Great news the removal of w/d limit and fees. just withdraw from CoinPot directly to your Coinbase deposit address - this is still fee free and works just as well as far as I can tell there is no way that CoinPot can tell that this is withdrawing to Coinbase as its just like any other direct wallet withdrawal Mmm, I wonder what was the difference then The Coinbase withdrawal option let you withdraw to your Coinbase email instead of a wallet address. It worked, but really isn't necessary.

Quick question - going to mine on under-clocked S5 (about 900 GH/S) to build up a few shares while I wait for an S9 to come on-line. Will the 900 GH/S get me above the dust threshold?
Thanks
Quick answer: yeah, for a little while longer.

Are those 2Pacs, or Compacs?
10 compacs 3 terminus I removed the compacs till I get everything stabilized. (I hooked up everything to look at the pretty blinking lights ) So, the hash rate might be a little low, but it's about where it needs to be on those, right?

Okay I will say though, if you see a note that the frequency unexpectedly changed to 200MHz, that means the hardware controls detected a string dropout and forced a reset. If you have turned the voltage down, you might turn it back up a bit.
No, the pods are awesome when they work and garbage when they don't. You haven't seen all the work I've had to do just to get some out the door, only to have an embarassingly high percentage of reported issues.
I have had three of mine running fine with no issues on Windows 10 PC for 24 hours. I initially had one go into zombie mode and plugged into a different USB port and it has been working fine. I thought I have had an abundance of USB 2.0 adapters for my other three but I can't find any and I forget to grab some while at work. I also have them running with the original USB stick cgminer version 4.10.0 - Started: [2018-02-25 19:39:38.887] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (5s):136.4G (1m):140.0G (5m):134.7G (15m):126.0G (avg):111.6Gh/s A:2141877 R:4844 HW:1290 WU:1557.1/m Connected to solo.ckpool.org diff 111 with stratum as user kipper01 Block: 5bc6cd36... So when they forked Litecoin, did they also change the algorithm from SHA256 to Scrypt?
Litecoin Cash is SHA256. I'm investigating.

phyllonomath is a troll and idiot. What he says is unimportant, and we don't hear him. Ignore the troll, and for pete's sake don't quote him for those of us who already ignore him! The only reason I quoted it was that it was (for him) brief.

Quote: "Everyone gets rewarded fairly for the work they did on each block found, that's the point of this pool."
BULLSHIT ...I mined with near 200th for over a week ....worked from 0 -133% on the block before bailing out.
ALL THAT WORK GOT ZERO FCKING REWARD.... I would have made $225 a day at BTC.com so I lost over 2k in income
Hurry up and delete the truth..we can't allow it
From the outside looking in, this LOOKS like the rantings of a silver-spoon newbie that didn't bother to read anything before getting into BTC at $20K. Just sayin'....
