141  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: STARTED on: May 28, 2018, 04:42:31 PM
Wow, I had almost forgotten about this! I am in for round 2 if/when that happens. It would be pretty cool if everyone decided as a group to just donate this at the end to a good cause. Tax wise I would rather just give this away than try to explain it lol...
142  Economy / Goods / Re: George's Famous Baklava on: May 28, 2018, 03:41:45 PM
If you are ever planning on selling baklava again I would happily be a regular customer. Any particular reason you bumped a 5-year old thread though? Other than nostalgia and late-night munchies, of course. It got my hopes it and killed them all within an instant. I thought I was missing out on something that had been going on for years, turns out I just missed out entirely. Not a single complaint, what made you close down shop?

A few weeks ago I combed the for sale thread for foods for sale and bumped all the threads I found...I think George stopped selling before I could get a chance to pickup some so I'm also in your same boat (and LOVE BAKLAVA!!!!!)

I too will pledge some btc if he brings it back... how much of a pool would need to be built for him to be pursuaded?  (400?  600?  1000?)

Must be some really good Baklava... I am in for some if he starts making it again. Maybe George was smart and held all those 2012 coins and doesn't need to work these days?
143  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction] Official BTCC Sponsored: Secondhand Auction of BTCC Mint Collectibles on: May 28, 2018, 03:36:33 PM
I wanted to bid on a few items, but these huge auctions with multiple lots are just too big of a hassle for me. I would suggest doing less items at once next time + no newbies unless they prove they have funds for the items etc... It seems like every time there is a huge auction like this it always turns into a shit show.
144  Economy / Collectibles / Re: KIALARA looking for new mint to make Remining EXcavator Elevator Wallets.... on: May 28, 2018, 03:26:30 PM
They made Silver Wallets and probably countless other coins here. Honestly, I am not too surprised as they cost a lot more than other mints.

They did... and they also had horrible QA on their coins.
I know Hhampuz used them for his 1st series on the BYOB and was left high and dry having to send almost 25% of the coins back to them...
and now that they are DOA, they are lost forever Sad

But being that, I know he switched to Osborne Mint....  Hopefully we get to see/hear the results soon. Cheesy

The quality must have declined towards the end then. When SW minted 500 rounds there were maybe 3-4 with milk spots and that was it.
145  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Casascius 2011 coins and Bitbill on: May 28, 2018, 05:29:04 AM
Interested in bitbill...pm sent. Hold for me please

Got it and replied. The bitbill is locked down.

Hate to tell you this, but you set the buy now price way too low for the BitBill. I would have offered more than 1.7  Tongue

Yeah, from the fast responses that I got I realized that. I read that a bitbill was sold a couple of months ago for 1.6, that's were I got the price from.
Anyways, it's done now. I thought the casascius would be more popular, but apparently they're way too common nowadays and mine aren't in a such great condition.

I doubt it would have gone for over 2BTC so not a big deal. Casascius are not moving because of their condition (really rough).

148  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Ideas] What's next for BTCC Mint? on: May 22, 2018, 02:15:40 PM

I think most collectors here would rather see an LTC collectible than a Bcash one (Plus we love Charlie).

Price point would make it highly attainable and the field of reputable loaded LTC products is very limited.  Id love to see this happen. from .1LTC - 10LTC chips.

The biggest draw for me are the fresh coins since they make these so unique. I would recommend sticking with bitcoin and skipping the alts...who really wants fresh BCH/LTC? With the prices being what they are maybe offer some lower face values like: .05 / .1 / .25 etc...

Oh man... I want one of these. I noticed the website says Bulgaria so do you have any idea on shipping costs to the USA?
151  Economy / Collectibles / Re: KeepKey Gold Packaging on: April 20, 2018, 05:38:53 AM
LC stacking gold Keepkeys? Should I have not opened mine or something? I thought the gold looked baller so had to make it my first hardware wallet.
152  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] ANY RARE CRYPTO ITEMS on: April 18, 2018, 12:32:33 AM
You have the voodoo doll Mark Karpeles? It came with pins and a noose...pretty rare!

Wait, what?  Please tell me this is real and post a photo.

Done!

I have some other odd stuff from 2013-2014 I am sure. I also have both the BTC neon sign and the ultra rare LTC one. Those were quite popular back in the day and set me back 5BTC between the 2  Undecided

I remember the neon signs.  Didn't Chang Noi have a photo with both the LTC and BTC one next to his Lambo?

Yeah, good old Goat. The Goat has the best Casascius collection of all time by far.

That is a lot coming from you!  Buy yes, Goat's collection is/was insane.  Didn't he sell one of his 2 1000 BTC gold ?

Yep. He sold it for 1 million dollars worth of cash and Bitcoin.
153  Other / Archival / Re: . on: April 17, 2018, 11:31:43 PM
My apologies....

any bids may be cancelled until I can resolve the key issue.

All good from my side, MJ. These things happen Smiley

This is why I never purchased 2FA coins from Titan, in case of exactly this scenario down the road.

Are only the 1 btc available in 2FA or did some of the tenths come as 2FA as well?

I started buying from Titan in 2014, and you always had the option when purchasing; private key, or 2FA.

Those 2 links show the difference, as the second actually says "Private Key Version". If you enter the code on your coins here you'll be able to tell if you have a private key under the hologram, or a 2FA code which is needed in conjunction with the original buyers email address and password used when registering the coin.

Complicated, I know Undecided I always avoided the 2FA's as a result.

Yep, all coins were offered either way. The 2FA was always a bad choice imo, but if you never planned on selling them I guess it isn't too bad.

157  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Ask] Lauda's red trust policy on: April 16, 2018, 11:43:41 AM
I would suggest contacting Blazed, hilariousandco and saltyspitton about this issue. They are why lauda is in the default trust network.

I have no idea why any of them would want to be associated with someone like lauda.

Pretty obvious we feel he does a good job at this point? When will you stop obsessing over this and just move on?
158  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk expert list. Who uses the badge. on: April 16, 2018, 11:38:56 AM
-ck wrote Cgminer and is worthy of being on that list. I am amazed that gmaxwell is not considered an expert?? I have to assume anyone who has written code for Core over years is an expert at this point.
159  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION]- Limited edition Golden KeepKey hardware Wallet on: April 12, 2018, 11:02:10 PM
This is very beautiful, KeepKey was already a sexy hardware wallet, and now i have seen it in gold  Kiss

I did try and purchase one when they were released but the site said they could not ship to Australia  Sad

Can you update the firmware on a KeepKey?

Yes and it is really easy. The Chrome app works really well and I have never had an issue with mine.

Edit: what luck there is a new firmware as of today so I took a screen shot...

It looks like this thread has pushed the buttons of a few people  Shocked

I will post responses to posts later today/tomorrow, time permitting.

What if Blazed donates $200 to the forum to get no negative trust? then everybody who has ever received negative trust for account selling should do the same. if Blazed donates $1000 to the forum. nobody would do the same. they don't sell accounts for such amounts.

Buying your way out of negative trust would be even more untrustworthy in my opinion.

Not to mention it would probably open Blazed up to a flood of extortion attempts.  I think the right thing to do for Blazed would be to remove those who have engaged in this behavior from his trust list to clear up any perceived conflict of interest.
This looks like a good solution to say the least. I wonder why Blazed has not done this.

I have already replied about the 1 account trade I had (it was done in the open as are all of my trades). If anyone would like to drop me a negative by all means go for it. I have never dropped a negative for retaliation or due to trash talking me. I only negative if someone really earns it. Back in 2013/2014 account sales were not deemed bad/shady since the spam issue was non existent compared to today. For the record I was only DT2 back then not DT1.

If you ask theymos to remove you from DT1 then you will realy help this little community.Your list is not decentralized and it dominated by scammers and beggars. Noone in your trust list tagged scammers , they tagged only competitors .It look like you never take your time to see their actions.

Feel free to msg him and see what his opinion on the matter is. Being DT1 gives me no benefits whatsoever and only causes me endless drama. The people I have added were put their to help clean up the forum and they do not benefit me personally since I have always followed the rules etc.. Obviously the DT network is not decentralized and neither is this forum. Decentralized things are not always the best solution, but if you have a better setup please tell us.
